Rosie O’Donnell’s Return on The View Boosts It Big

16 September 2014 5:25 PM, PDT

Rosie O’Donnell may have lost 50+ pounds since she was last on The View, but she has given the show a huge boost with her return. The morning debut show has seen a nice ratings increase with a new cast for the 2014 season premier. The show brought in 3.9 million views for curious people who wanted to see how the dynamic was. ABC has made it clear that they wish to switch gears and thus they brought in two new faces to the table. So far it as had paid off for the series 18th season premier. The real question is if they can keep those numbers in.

Since it is still fresh into the season, I am not sure what we can expect. With two unfamiliar faces it seems like we may not have the same drawl as it did before. Sure, they are more middle in their politics and perhaps more poised, »

NBC Working on Problem Child Return

16 September 2014 1:25 PM, PDT

NBC is on fire as of late! They eye another possible reboot for John Ritter’s 1990s classic film Problem Child. Scot Armstrong is reportedly working on a outline for a half an hour comedy based upon the film that everyone loved. The comedy followed the lives of a couple who adopted a child who kept being returned back. Of course it was all done in good humor and fans enjoyed the funny film. Now it seems like family themed comedies are making a comeback that NBC is hoping to buy into.

It sounds hopeful as the series would be a great return to family programming. I am not sure who would star it in or how it would be changed up, but it sounds like it holds a lot of hope. We would love to see it come to order for NBC who seems to be on a roll with future projects. »

NBC Looks Into New Horror Series

16 September 2014 9:00 AM, PDT

NBC wants to bring horror back to network TV! It is reported that they are looking to bring back the classic horror bases shows that feature stories inspired by true events. As an example would be Unsolved Mysteries or Fact or Fiction. Endemol Studios is the studio behind the project, along with horror kings Jason Blum and Tony Krantz. NBC hasn’t ordered the short 10 episode series yet, as they are waiting to see how it will be developed.

This is exciting news since it has been a good while since we last saw a series like this one. Plus since the stories will be based upon true ones, it will add in a reality-ish feel. Hopefully NBC will love seeing where they can take it. It would be a unique position for the network that could actually benefit them. However, we also understand that it is a big risk »

Brian Van Holt Leaving Cougar Town Early

16 September 2014 7:05 AM, PDT

It may be the last season of Courtney Cox‘s last season of Cougar Town, but it will be ending early for one star. Brian Van Holt will be leaving the show earlier in the season. He played Bobby “Penny Can” Cobb from the very start is eager to move on and start working on new projects. Thus he will be leaving the show before the series ends with the series finale. No word yet on when his character will be leaving the show just yet.

We are sad that he is jumping the ship before it is given a proper ending. However, we understand that he wishes to get started on a new project that is worth this time. It just seems sort of cheap to leave the show when he was so close to wrapping it up as a whole. Maybe he can later on address his choice, »

Cecily Strong Clears up SNL Weekend Update Rumors

15 September 2014 8:00 PM, PDT

The world is sad over Lorne Michael’s reported choice of asking Cecily Strong to step down from her SNL Weekend Update chair. However, it seems that she doesn’t feel that way and she wants her fans to know her side. She took to Instagram to share her thoughts on her departure and also on her true feelings about her future on the long running series.

I don’t see this as me leaving Update, just as me being on update in a looser, goofier way that is a lot more fun for me and in a way I think I’m better at…..And now I get to do features with the very funny and wonderful Michael Che! No point in being angry or sad for me for something I’m genuinely happy about! Unless you are just a person who enjoys being angry or sad. Then I guess play on, »

ABC Highlights Frozen in Once Upon a Time Poster

15 September 2014 7:17 PM, PDT

ABC is making it clear as day that their take on Frozen will be a highlight of their 4th season of Once Upon a Time. This is not news since we were pretty sure that this would be the main story. Now that has been confirmed as the season’s poster shows Georgina Haig’s Queen Elsa and her icy glare with the trademark series apple. Yes, it appears that this series may take a darker turn if the poster has anything to tell us. The new season will kick off on September 28th for those wanting to catch it.

I am excited to see how Elsa and the rest of the Frozen characters will be added. I also wonder if they will be able to add in Olaf? That would certainly be interesting add a tad of excitement to it. However, I will say that the original fans should be a tiny bit concerned. »

90s Stud Luke Perry Joins CSI: Cyber

15 September 2014 5:30 PM, PDT

CBS is getting a great cast lined up for their latest CSI franchise show, CSI: Cyber. The 90s stud that all girls loved, Luke Perry will be returning to TV on the show. His character has been announced as Nick Dalton, a former FBI agent who finds himself with deep secrets. However, he was in line to run the agency in DC before changes were made. His role is currently slated to be a recurring role. He will be joining Patricia Arquette, James Van Der Beek, Peter MacNicol and others on the mid-season replacement.

This is exciting news as I do love the franchise. But I also adore seeing them line up a juicy cast. This should drum up a lot of interest for the show that will likely premier as a mid-season replacement. CBS is making sure to carve it out the best that they can in order to promise success. »

Common Reacts to Hell on Wheels Death

15 September 2014 3:56 PM, PDT

AMC ended season 4 of Hell on Wheels with original character Elam’s death. Now the actor who played him is speaking out about leaving the show. The rapper turned actor Common has come out to speak how he feels about having Elam killed off. While he was sad about knowing the end was coming for his well loved character, it was also bittersweet. He chose to leave so he can return back to music, thus the call was his own. Here is what he had to say about leaving the series for good.

It pulled at my heart because I really cherish the character…[It] wasn’t the easiest thing for me to do, but I have a lot of aspects to my career that I wasn’t able to nurture…. Acting is very, very important to me, but music is very important to me too.

This is sad news, but »
