Dating Nightmare Catfish to Return for 4th Season

MTV is still on a reality TV show kick despite adding their own series. Nev Schulman and Max Joseph reality series Catfish: The TV Show about online dating dangers of liars and fake people has become a hit. Now we know MTV is hooked on the series as well, as a 4th season has just been picked up. The series was based off of Nev’s own personal experience which he made a documentary on. It if course took off the rest become history. No word on when the 4th season is expected to premier yet.

We are happy to see that Nev and Max still have a job. They have done a great amount of work on it and I really feel that they care. Sure, the show is a little thick on fakeness, but those are mostly the catfish and their victims. However, it does make for great »

Starz Was Interested in Fifty Shades of Grey

12 July 2014 7:23 AM, PDT

Starz may be preparing for their biggest success to date with Outlander, but they also entertained a more sexy option for a while. CEO Chris Albrecht was at the annual Television Critics Association summer press tour doing his talks about Outlander. He was explaining that this classic love story was meant to become a TV series, which Fifty Shades of Grey was not. He admitted at one point before he landed Outlander he pitched the kinky series idea to Universal. As we all know that did not pan out and a film is being made instead. But he did admit that his offer was a sweet deal, but the logistics would never have worked. Here is what Chris said on the subject.

If you read the book (Outlander), this could only be a series I’m the guy who called up Universal and said, ‘I’ll get you three years »

Bob Odenkirk’s Better Call Saul Starting New

11 July 2014 7:23 PM, PDT

Don’t fret that just because AMC created Breaking Bad spin-off series Better Call Saul, that it would all be the same. Now we hear that Bob Odenkirk’s series will be starting from scratch. The prequel is starting production of the first of two seasons on schedule and they feel that they are too slow for normal production. Sticking true to how they did Breaking Bad, Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould feel that they have always remained behind schedule. They said they assumed working on Better Call Saul would be easier, but it turns out that they are back to square one like they were with the start of Breaking Bad. Here is what they said at Television Critics Association.

I still feel I’m very slow for television. We have a way of doing things that is slower than most television shows…..I thought it was going to be easy, »

Outlander’s Premier Pushed Forward

11 July 2014 6:52 PM, PDT

Starz is wanting to milk the early success of Outlander. The show will have a panel at San Diego Comic Con with a panel of the stars and production team. But they now also decided to push the series premier online earlier than the network premier on August 9th. Starting on August 2 select platforms will allow viewers to catch the premier earlier than the network one. They also confirmed that the first season will be split in half, with the first half ending on September 27th and resuming in 2015.

Starz is not wasting any time. These last few weeks we have seen and heard a lot more than we expected to. I am sure that they are already planning for second season. Fans have made it clear that they will adore this show. It looks like Starz may have to figure out what they want from the show and how »

Game of Thrones Needs No More Books

10 July 2014 8:44 PM, PDT

Fans are concerned that the author of Game of Thornes George R.R. Martin may not ever finish the series. He of course told them off, but HBO is also not worried. They recently addressed the controversary by sharing that they are not worried about running out of books. They admitted that with or without new books George will be very much apart of deciding what to do with the series. However, they also had a few choice words about the potential movie that he has hinted he so desired.

We’re not concerned about it, We’re not off on our own. George is an integral part of the creative team [and] every move is being choreographed very closely with him. We’ll have to figure it out with George. We’re in conversations with him

It is good to see HBO has his back, especially since he did provide them »

Glee’s Final Season to Have 13 Episodes

10 July 2014 7:00 PM, PDT

Everyone knows that Fox will be ending Glee this year during the 6th season. Now we know just how many episodes left fans will have to tune in to for the musical return to the original style. This last season will be on the short side with only 13 episodes. However, the season will not be split up, which is a surprising move by Fox in their efforts in keeping ratings up. The new episode count is cut down from the original plans for 22 episode original plans. The new season is set to be a mid-season premier.

We are all glad to know that they have settled on a number of episodes. I just hope that they find success with this last season. I am happy to know that they are returning to their roots, but I am not happy about why they are not giving it a proper ending. Making it »

How I Met Your Dad Dream Still Beating

10 July 2014 4:52 PM, PDT

After CBS turned down the surprising pitch of How I Met Your Dad, it shocked fans. It even more shocked the shows’ team as they have provided the network with some of their best shows to date. However, that hasn’t stopped 20th TV from pushing their goals. However, those fell through as well with the current pilot that they shot and pitched to other networks including online. Now we hear that they will redo it for the 2015-2016 season.

We are not sure what to say about this news. We’re glad that 20th TV is plugging along, but why did everyone say no to the pilot? It is a dumb choice to say no and ignore the need for it. Especially since they have brought many successful series before. I suppose they could feel that it is too soon, but either way it is a shame to see »

Lifetime Orders Prehistoric The Clan of the Cave Bear

10 July 2014 1:14 PM, PDT

Lifetime is typically known for reality shows and women’s movies. Now they are eager to join in the growing success of original dramas. Thus, they decided to order up a pilot episode based off of Jean M. Auel’s book series called The Clan of the Cave Bear. No word on who will star in the show, which is expected to be released sometime next year. Here is what Lifetime released the show will be loosely based upon the following plot.

“when Neanderthals shared the Earth with the first early modern humans and a band of cave dwellers adopt blond and blue-eyed Ayla,” a courageous young woman who fights against “the jealous bigotry of Broud, who will one day be clan leader,”

ABC tried to do a pre-historic comedy and it flopped. It will be interesting to see if Lifetime’s show will take off. It sounds like it could, »

DC Comics & CW To Launch Digital Comics of Flash & Arrow

9 July 2014 7:48 PM, PDT

CW’s series Arrow and soon to premier Flash are already hits for the network. DC Comics of course is noticing the superhero trend working for the teen and young adult network. Thus they decided it was time to adapt to new technology this fall. DC Entertainment will launch two comic series online written by the series writers and will also introduce new characters that will be unique to the online comic series. They will be limited edition and will run with the following titles: Arrow: Season 2.5 and The Flash: Season Zero.

Clearly DC Comics is wising up to the current craze for superheroes. At this point I am shocked it took them this long. I wonder if CW will at one point actually partner up with them since it is pretty clear that they work well together. I guess though we will have to see if Flash will perform well first. »

9 July 2014 5:56 PM, PDT

Fans of Canadian based thriller Orphan Black will return for a third season. BBC America confirmed the news today at Television Critics Assoc. summer press tour in Beverly Hills.. It will feature 10 new episodes that will of course be filled with more drama as clones find new leases on life and perhaps leading to more drama surrounding their own world The new season will premier on BBC America in 2015. The full cast is expected to return.

This is great news since the show has become a cult classic. Many fans have expressed their passion for the series that tackles the morale issue of cloning. Clearly they do put it in a more dramatic and scary fashion for views. Hopefully this will never become a reality, but it does make for some great TV watching. It is just a shame for such short seasons on a promising show.

The Last Kingdom Heads to BBC America

9 July 2014 4:10 PM, PDT

It looks like BBC America wishes to compete with other more mainstream book adapted series. They just announced that The Last Kingdom will be picked up for a series on their network. It will be based upon Saxon Stories novels by Bernard Cornwell. They are historical based novels (think like Outlander) and will be an 8 episode season to start with. Here is the reported premise that they will go by for the series.

Set in the year 872, when many of the separate kingdoms of what we now know as England have fallen to the invading Vikings, the great kingdom of Wessex has been left standing alone and defiant under the command of King Alfred the Great.

Against this turbulent backdrop lives our hero, Uhtred. Born the son of a Saxon nobleman, he is orphaned by the Vikings and then kidnapped and raised as one of their own. Forced to choose »

Outlander Announces Comic-Con Panel

9 July 2014 9:01 AM, PDT

We already told you last month that Outlander will be attending the San Diego Comic Con. Now we know will be coming to the event and will be sitting at the panel to discuss that much talked about new series. Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Tobias Menzies, Graham McTavish, Lotte Verbeek, series writer Diana Gabaldon and TV show producer Ronald D. Moore will be there. They will be answering questions for fans who attend and press who want to cover the historical fiction series. Outlander will actually premier on August 9.

This is huge news for fans of the series. The show has already created a following just based off the fans of the novels. It will be interesting to see if the TV adaption can compete or even keep the fans happy. That will be the big test since most everyone can agree that books are always more epic than movies »

Rosie O’Donnell In Talks of the View

8 July 2014 8:02 PM, PDT

Fans of The View may see a familiar face come back in the fall. The liberal darling Rosie O’Donnell who was let go a few seasons back might be making her way back to the table. She is reportedly in talks to join the show again now that Sherri Shepard and Jenny McCarthy are leaving their seats. Barbara Walters and her team are looking for a way to make the ratings get boosted and Rosie is certainly the face to do so. Over her few seasons on the show previously, controversy was not something they could shake. So far nothing official has been announced, but we wouldn’t put it past ABC either.

We are not to sure what diretcion the show will go in. Sherri was more of a moderate on the show and now that Rosie might be coming back, I am not sure if the show »

8 July 2014 7:00 PM, PDT

Columbus Short is no longer a cast member of Scandal. He was fired after a tough season that was plagued by his personal issues. He caught up with Access Hollywood about the subject which Columbus only has good things to say. He also admits his issues, as we were all were reminded over his recent arrest. He also made sure to justify his firing. Here is what he had to say about the whole issue.

They did not throw me to the curb like trash — that’s my family, They knew that I was going through a tough season and rallied around me and wrapped their arms around me, from Shonda to the craft service man. We’re a family…..I think, at a certain point, when you’re [hearing] a barrage of stories after stories, ABC justifiably would want to distance themselves, They did the right thing…..To be honest with you, »

Will & Grace‘s Sean Hayes is officially joining The Millers for their second season. He will be a series regular as Kip Withers, a friend of Carol who is the disdain of Nathan’s life. The Millers creator Greg Garcia has expressed his love of Sean Hayes and is excited to announce the funnyman joining the series. Greg didn’t say on how he won the Emmy winning star on his series, but he did have to say the following about the 90s classic star.

After years of being a fan and hearing from others how wonderful he is to work with, I couldn’t be more excited about Sean Hayes joining The Millers, The thought of he and Margo Martindale as BFFs makes me smile every time I think about it

Jay Baruchel’s Man Seeking Woman Heads to Canada

7 July 2014 8:00 PM, PDT

Jay Baruchel should be happy that he will be residing in his home country of Canada for his new series. Fxx has confirmed that Man Seeking Woman will be another one of their show filmed in Canada, Toronto for this show. Fxx has been slowly moving production over there for an unknown reason, which perhaps could also lead to why Jay was chosen .to play the lead role. Production should start soon and we can assume that it will premier sometime next year in 2015.

This show sounds interesting and promising. But I am not sure if the world is ready for another show like this. Especially since they already have so many similar shows out there like this one. It is overdone, unless they focus on his dating fails and make him not fall for his best female friend. Then maybe it could be saved, but even at that it is a doubt. »

Tyler Blackburn Talks Pll’s Celeb Dark Return

7 July 2014 6:40 PM, PDT

Tyler Blackburn was busy last season starring on his own show that was a em>Pretty Little Liars spin off, Ravenswood. Sadly it didn’t take off and now Caleb is returning for at least the 100th episode of Pretty Little Liars. TV Line caught up with Tyler to get the dirt on his return and how he has changed since he was in Ravenwood, which he says changed Caleb for the worse. Here are a few highlights on what he had to say.

“His time in Ravenswood has messed with him greatly, He’s questioning his sanity, what life is, what’s real and what’s not…..He’s angry, he’s confused, he’s sad, he’s mad — all these things. He has a dark side now that he really didn’t have before….We had the same writers and producers on Ravenswood that we do on Pretty Little Liars, »

Famous in 12 Canned

7 July 2014 5:00 PM, PDT

CW is known for having their fair share of hits and misses, thus show cancellations are not new. But it was a shocker when Famous in 12 was removed announced. The series was suppose to follow the lives of the Artiaga family for 12 weeks as they moved to La. It was to document to see if they could assist the family in their own claim to fame. They aired only 5 episodes of the season before taking it off air for the rest of the season on the holiday weekend. Yes, they did not announce the removal of the series and did it in sly matter. The family was also sent back to return to their normal lives.

This isn’t really news since the show was never promoted much. CW seems to be quick with their decisions and perhaps already had plans along the lines for its cancelation, hence the lack of PR. »

Lea Michele is Not Expecting!

7 July 2014 2:13 PM, PDT

The Glee hacker is at it again! This time over the holiday weekend Lea Michele‘s account was hacked with a fake tweet about her being pregnant. She reportedly claimed that she wanted to let her fans know she was having a baby boy. Her team then released a statement denying the claims and announcing the hack returned again. She of course is not expecting and the show will be able to continue on without her character becoming pregnant. Here is what Lea was rumored to have say.

Before this gets out to the media, I would like to announce to my fans that I am pregnant #BabyBoy.

Clearly no one knows what or why this rumor was caused. Lea and the rest of the show have been subjected to these rumors for a good while. So far no one knows who is causing this hacking scares, but we can »
