Breaking Bad: How Much Cash Was in That Storage Unit?

5 September 2012 1:56 PM, PDT

In an exchange that seemed at least partially aimed at the internet, Skyler told Walt during Sunday's Breaking Bad finale that he'd made too much money for one person to count, let alone launder. But the internet loves a challenge, and so it was probably only a matter of time before someone tried to come up with a better response to Walt's inquiry of "How much is this?" than Skyler's "I have no earthly idea."

Knowing that Walt gave a couple of duffle bags to Jesse.presumably the $5 million he was owed and not a cent more.you'd expect the total in the...  More >> »

Looking Back on True Blood Season 5... and Predicting Season 6!

5 September 2012 1:10 PM, PDT

Just over a week has passed since True Blood ended its fifth season, and I'm still reeling over everything that went down. Let's pool our info so we don't spend all winter biting our nails. Okay? I need your help.

Oh, but before we talk about Season 6,we have to watch this Bonus Scene From The Season 5 Finale.

Okay. Okay. Deep breaths.

Norah knows about Warlo, so clearly he is going to be the "big bad" next season (or you know, fairy...  More >> »

Fringe's New Promo: The Observers Tell You Sheep to Stay in Line (Video)

5 September 2012 9:48 AM, PDT

The best promo team in all of television is back at it again with this new teaser for the fifth and final season of Fringe. Consider it one of those "The More You Know" PSA ads, but instead of a celebrity working off community service for a DUI, it's a bald guy in a hat telling the public that they will be brainwashed if they don't obey their new overlords. Fun!

We're expecting Season 5 (or at least a portion of it) to take place in 2036, the same year the excellent episode "Letters of Transit" was set in. If your mind...  More >> »

Covert Affairs "Glass Spider" Review: The Man Without a Country

5 September 2012 9:29 AM, PDT

Covert Affairs S03E08: .Glass Spider.

On the plus side, Annie and Auggie made some itty bitty progress toward being BFFs again and I was vindicated in my belief that Lena sucked. However, in the end, we were left with the small matter of Simon (probably) being dead and Annie in rough shape herself, so I.m going to declare .Glass Spider. a draw. It.s a draw because it currently sucks to be Annie, but it.s totally awesome to be Annie.s TV series.

Auggie and Annie checked...  More >> »

Open Caption: Sons of Anarchy

5 September 2012 9:09 AM, PDT

Hello everybody, I've got some big news: Due to what some like to call "vacation time" I am going to be Mia for the next few days, meaning I won't be here to moderate your caption greatness until next Wednesday. One full week! But hey, you can use the extra time to think of an amazing caption that will literally blow my socks off upon my return. If you manage to do that, I'll take photographic evidence. Before the gun goes off to let you start thinking, here are the winners from yesterday's contest:

Banana In The Tailpipe Time

... Remember when Eddie Murphy used to be a star? Well he does, too. The comic who once had a stand-up routine about pooping in the tub is looking to reignite his career and will attempt to do so with help from CBS. The network has committed to a pilot for an update to Murphy's Beverly Hills Cop film franchise, with Murphy back to reprise his role as wise-cracking cop Axel Foley and The Shield creator Shawn Ryan writing...  More >> »

Grimm "Quill" Review: A MonRomance Blooms

4 September 2012 3:45 PM, PDT

Grimm S02E04: .Quill.

If Monday.s Grimm were an episode of Friends it would have been titled, .The One Where Multiple Plots Thicken.. We had a MonRosalee kiss, Juliette stumbling onto the Grimms, Renard investigating Mama Nick, Renard spying on the Royal Families, Hank forcibly joining the team, and.as if all of that wasn't enough.there was also an ew-inducing Dark Ages plague, for good procedural measure.

.Quill. began as the aforementioned Wesen-infecting virus hit Portland. It caused the carriers to break out in horrifically gross boils and yellow pustules and basically made them act like...  More >> »

Watch the Pilot For J.J. Abrams' Revolution Now (Video)

4 September 2012 2:00 PM, PDT

You anticipated it, and now you can watch it! NBC's upcoming sci-fi drama Revolution has been crowned the victor in our New Show Anticipation Index, defeating The CW's Arrow (you have funny taste in shows, guys!) in bracket-style competition. I don't know if it's connected to NBC's recent decision to post the pilot of Revolution online, but we like to pretend we have some pull and will take all the credit.

FX Sets Return Dates for Sons of Anarchy, American Horror Story, and It's Always Sunny

4 September 2012 12:45 PM, PDT

Look, everyone's been busy this summer stocking up on back-to-school sales on paste (so delicious), so we all have an excuse for not keeping up on the teeny-tiny bits of unofficial news that have trickled out over the last few months. FX knows this, so the network decided to remind us of when its fall shows will return with an official announcement of premiere dates for shows like Sons of Anarchy, American Horror Story, and It's Always...  More >> »

Leverage "The Real Fake Car Job" Review: My Mother the Mussolini Car

4 September 2012 10:45 AM, PDT

Leverage S05E07: "The Real Fake Car Job"

There are two types of Leverage episodes: The ones with super high stakes (and that generally involve Eliot hitting a bunch of people) and the fun, silly ones (where Eliot just looks like he wants to hit a bunch of people). Sunday night's episode was neither.

The villain this week, Gabe Erickson, had conned people out of their life savings then avoided prosecution by offering to testify against his mob contacts.mob contacts he had gotten for...  More >> »

Michael Clarke Duncan Dies at 54

4 September 2012 10:28 AM, PDT

Michael Clarke Duncan, star of the Bones spin-off The Finder, died on Monday following complications from a heart attack. He was 54 years old.

Duncan was an unmistakable presence, standing six feet, five inches tall and weighing more than 300 pounds. After a landing series of film roles that took advantage of his massive size, Duncan exploded into stardom with his turn as John Coffey in Frank Darabont's The Green Mile. It was that...  More >> »

Hell on Wheels "Scabs" Review: Man Up or Shut Up

3 September 2012 11:45 AM, PDT

Hell on Wheels S02E04: "Scabs"

Yo gang, let's turn our chairs around, circle up like some wagons and rap for a second: So what makes a person officially "equal" in the Old West? Is it the freedom to do and have the same things as the next fortune seeker? Is it being respected and/or feared by the exact same people who respect/fear some other dude? Or what? Last night's relatively bloodless "Scabs," took a stab at answering these questions as Cullen tangled with a workforce on strike and...  More >> »

What to Watch Tonight: Switched at Birth, Stars Earn Stripes, and Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations

3 September 2012 12:00 AM, PDT

What to watch on Monday, September 3...

Happy Labor Day to my American kin! I hope you're not reading this from the office. I hope you're reading this from your smartphone while downing a hotdog somewhere. If you're in La, I'm imagining you chillin' with an umbrella drink on an inflatable raft in the middle of the pool at your friend's boss's Beverly Hills mansion (because your friend's boss happens to be out of town). If you're in Chicago, I'm thinking you're at a block...  More >> »
