"Arrow": More DC Comics Villains

Another "Spartacus: War Of The Damned" actor has been cast in The CW's "Arrow" TV series, as a DC Comic's villain:

Actor Nick Tarabay, memorable as the scheming gladiator 'Ashur' in "Spartacus: War Of The Damned" has landed a multi-episode role as 'George Digger Harkness' aka 'Captain Boomerang'.

The character will appear in Episode #3.7 and Episode #3.8.

The character will be introduced then carry over into the eighth episode, in which he'll likely face 'The Flash', who crosses over into 'Starling City'.

Other "Spartacus: War Of The Damed" actors appearing on "Arrow", include Cynthia Addai-Robinson as 'Amanda Waller', Manu Bennett as 'Slade Wilson' aka 'Deathstroke' and Katrina Law as 'Nyssa Raatko' ('al Ghul').

"Supergirl" - The TV Series

Take another look @ DC Comics' "Man Of Steel" comic book prequel on the news that Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions are developing a "Supergirl" live-action, dramatic TV series, from producers Greg Berlanti ("Arrow") and Ali Adler:

"...the mystery of the empty, open 'cryo-pod' in the movie 'Man of Steel' is no mystery at all...

Guard Killed On Set Of "Falling Skies"

According to VancouverFilm.Net, a security guard was killed September 15, 2014 on the set of TNT’s alien invasion TV series "Falling Skies":

"...the man was struck by an unattended truck that rolled down a hill and pinned him against a tree. Production on the show, which is underway on the fifth and final season near Vancouver, was shut down today. Production was prepping for the next day’s shoot. The name of the security guard has not been made public.

"A five-ton truck parked on a 6% slope had been left unattended," said Scott McCloy, spokesman for 'WorkSafeBC', British Columbia’s Workers’ Compensation Board, which is investigating the accident. "The vehicle tailgate was lowered for off-loading of equipment. The truck rolled backwards down the slope and the deceased worker was caught between the tailgate and the tree..."

July 2014, TNT picked up the series produced by Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks.

"Daredevil" TV Series Updates

The currently shooting Marvel Studios' "Daredevil" TV series, has cast a well-known actor to Marvel Comics' blind 'sensei' who trained 'Matt Murdock' to become the superhero 'Daredevil':

Actor Scott Glenn will play 'Stick', a character created by Frank Miller, as the leader of a group of martial artists called the 'Chaste', the deadly rivals of demonic ninja clan the 'Hand'.

In the comics, Stick has the abilities of radar sense, acute hearing, taste, touch, smell, telepathy,and the ability to drain life energy from another person. 

Stick also trained Daredevil's lover 'Elektra'.

Take another look @ images of young 'Ivy Pepper', aka 'Poison Ivy' played by actress Clare Foley, from the upcoming live-action 'Batman' prequel TV series "Gotham", created by Bruno Heller, based on characters published by DC Comics.

The original 'Poison Ivy', a comic book 'super-villainess', primarily an enemy of Batman, was created by Robert Kanigher and Sheldon Moldoff...

...debuting in DC Comics' "Batman" #181 (June 1966).

The character has been depicted as one of the world's most prominent eco-terrorists, obsessed with plants, botany, and environmentalism. 

She uses toxins from plants and mind controlling pheromones for her criminal activities, which are usually aimed at protecting the natural environment.
