Chris Bosh's NBA Finals Game 6-winning blocks in Gif form
20 minutes ago
Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals was a thrilling display of basketball from both the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs. As the final seconds of regulation play ticked away, many thought the Spurs had the game, and championship title, in the bag.
The Heat were able to tie the game though, sending it into overtime. That's when Chris Bosh made two great stops, both while Miami was up. The first came while the team led by a point. As Spurs star Tony Parker took a shot, Bosh was able to get his hand in there, sending the ball off it's desired course.
Next, with the Heat up by three, and the clock practically expired, the Spurs got the ball to Danny Green, who set the record for 3-pointers in the NBA Finals during during Game 5. As Green lined up his shot, which would have tied the game and sent them into another overtime period, »

Dolce and Gabbana trial ends in jail sentence for tax evasion
1 hour ago
Don't pay your taxes and eventually the man is going to catch up to you. That's the lesson Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, otherwise known as fashion designers Dolce and Gabbana, are learning.
Following a trial, the pair were convicted of hiding millions of euros from tax authorities in Italy. As punishment for the crime, they were sentenced to a year and eight months in prison, though that has been suspended, pending an appeal.
The investigation into Dolce and Gabbana first began six years ago, according to the BBC, when the Italian government decided to get serious about those who avoid their taxes. A judge ruled that the pair moved their brand to a holding company in Luxembourg in order to avoid paying taxes on one billion euros (roughly $1.3 billion).
Initially they were cleared of the charged in a 2011 trial, however the ruling was overturned by the highest court in Italy. »

'Veronica Mars' movie: Max Greenfield's Deputy Leo returning
1 hour ago
Though it's not an official announcement from Rob Thomas, as most of the casting notices have been, Max Greenfield has confirmed he will be returning for the "Veronica Mars" movie.
Greenfield played Veronica's (Kristen Bell) love interest, Deputy Leo D'Amato, during the show's first season, though he continued to pop up throughout the series. Greenfield broke the news during an interview with Gold Derby, saying he was scheduled to film for a day on the project.
"I'm really excited about it," Max says, "It's one of those few occasions ... where you're working on something where everybody is just so excited to be there." Greenfield thinks the movie is going to "be like a fun reunion," though he notes part of the excitement is the responsibility to make the project good, as it was funded by the fans of the show.

Heather Locklear and daughter Ava Sambora heading to Paris this summer
1 hour ago
Heather Locklear has a new television job, but she also has her mind on some summer fun.
The series veteran starts a new weekly role reminiscent of her Amanda Woodward of "Melrose Place," when no-nonsense law-firm partner Rachel King first appears in Wednesday's (June 19) Season 3 premiere of TNT's "Franklin & Bash." Locklear basically has finished her filming on the episodes, so she's considering other ways to fill her upcoming weeks.
"I may be going to Paris for a couple of days with my daughter," she tells Zap2it, "because she was going, and I was like, 'I'm going if you're going.' Other than that, I really don't have anything planned."
The daughter in question, Ava Sambora -- whose father is Locklear's ex-husband, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora -- has embarked on modeling and acting careers and is getting much attention for her striking resemblance to her mom.
"I'm so proud of her, »

'Fifty Shades of Grey' lands director Sam Taylor-Johnson, but who will play Christian and Anastasia?
British director Sam Taylor-Johnson has landed the coveted job of bringing best selling novel "Fifty Shades of Grey" to the screen.
Taylor-Johnson made her directorial debut on 2009's John Lennon bio-pic "Nowhere Boy," which starred her now husband Aaron Taylor-Johnson (who also played the lead in "Kick-Ass"). Deadline broke the news of her "Fifty Shades" hire.
Since there are currently no actors attached to the lead "Fifty Shades" roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, it wouldn't be surprising to see speculation that Taylor-Johnson's husband could land the gig as Christian. But would that be too awkward for a married couple?
We'll find out soon, as finding the right director was considered to be the next step before nailing down a cast. Kelly Marcel ("Terra Nova") has already written the script and Focus and Universal are set to release. »

Paula Deen admits using N-word during recorded deposition - report
2 hours ago
While under oath during a recorded deposition in May, Paula Deen admitted to using the N-word in the past. Deen was deposed in relation to a $1.2 million sexual harassment lawsuit from a former manager of her restaurant, Paula's Oyster House.
The former employee claims she was exposed to racist, sexist and inappropriate comments while working at Paula's Oyster House. As part of the lawsuit, Deen was questioned by the former employee's attorney and TMZ got a hold of part of the transcript.
When asked if they ever used the N-word, Deen responds, "Yes, of course." When asked the context of her use, Deen says, "Well, it was probably when a black man burst into the bank that I was working at and put a gun to my head." While working at a bank in 1986, Deen was held at gunpoint.
Deen clarifies that she didn't use the word in front of the gun-wielding man, »

Kanye West: His 10 most arrogant quotes
No one's ever confused Kanye West for a humble man, and with the release on Tuesday (June 18) of "Yeezus," his sixth studio album, the man's unbridled arrogance shows no signs of letting up.
While we're certainly not disputing the man's talent and achievements, we thought we'd take a look back at West's big talk over the years. His pomposity is nothing new, though his 10 most arrogant quotes reveal that it has grown in scope. (Come on, really? The next Steve Jobs? Really?)
Do you think Yeezy is arrogant or telling it like it is? Let us know in the comments below, and if you're having trouble viewing the graphic, view it here. »

Justin Bieber surprised his friend and fellow musician Cody Simpson during Simpson's recent Los Angeles show, and the entire incident was caught on camera. While Simpson was performing his single "Pretty Brown Eyes," Bieber danced on stage and caused the primarily female audience to go wild.
After the appearance, Bieber went backstage with Simpson to help hype his new album "Surfers Paradise," which comes out on July 16. Bieber had nothing but kind things to say about his "little bro."
"So what's up guys? I'm with my homie Cody Simpson. I used to call him my little bro but now he's kind of become my big bro because he's bigger than me, man," Bieber says. "He's doing great things, recording a lot of great songs, working hard in the dance studio -- I can see you. Look out for his next album, it's going to be big." »

Kim Kardashian's birth was filmed: Will it air on 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians'?
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West might be staying mum on the birth of their daughter (and her name), but did you actually think a Kardashian would let such momentous event go by without capturing it on video? It has been revealed that cameras were in fact rolling while the birth was taking place -- though the footage likely won't end up on an episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
Radar Online's sources say that a "Keeping Up" crew filmed Kardashian's labor and drive to the hospital, but was turned away from the delivery room by West when the cameramen tried to film the birth.
"The camera crew did attempt to accompany Kim into the hospital. When Kanye arrived, he told them to get lost, which they did. Kanye didn't want this precious moment to be documented for TV," the insider says.
That doesn't mean it wasn't documented, though. Mom »

Debbi Fields 'worried about' Mrs. Fields Cookies, seeking bigger role again
3 hours ago
For the Mrs. Fields of Mrs. Fields Cookies, weekly television exposure is coming at a very good time.
In the early 1990s, Debbi Fields sold the company she'd put her name and stamp on, though she has remained its main spokesperson. She'll continue in that role as she serves as a judge of others aiming to start food-product lines on "Supermarket Superstar," a Lifetime competition series premiering Monday, June 22.
Fields hopes her presence on the show also will signal something else. "I have not been involved in the company's operations in 13 years," the pleasant, energetic Fields tells Zap2it, "and what amazes me is that the brand still survives.
"I was fanatical about quality, and I told the people I worked with, 'The most important thing you want to register is not the cash register. You want to register the smile on your customer's face.'"
Fields explains, "Mrs. Fields »

Josh Duggar takes job with Family Research Council - GLAAD slams move as anti-gay
3 hours ago
"19 Kids and Counting" star Josh Duggar has headed to Washington D.C. The eldest child in the Duggar family accepted a job as the Family Research Council Action's executive director, a move those in the Lgbt community are now lashing out against.
Duggar is no stranger to political advocacy. Previous to this job, he worked as a political consultant since 2006. He also campaigned with his parents for Sen. Rick Santorum in the 2012 Presidential Primary.
"I will be engaging the grassroots and taking the message of faith, family and freedom all across America," he says of the new gig.
The problem Lgbt fans have is not with Duggar, but with the organization which he is now working for. Frc President Tim Perkins has made his stance on the Lgbt community very clear over the years. The organization says it's dedicated to promoting "traditional American values ... of the Founding Fathers concerning the nature of ordered liberty, »

Men's Wearhouse fires George Zimmer, founder and longtime spokesman
4 hours ago
On the day they were supposed to hold their annual shareholder's meeting, Men's Wearhouse announced the termination of George Zimmer. If the name doesn't ring a bell, the man certainly will. In addition to founding the company in 1973, Zimmer has also largely been the face of the company, appearing in advertisements since the 1980s.
Zimmer is best known for the catchphrase, "You're going to like the way you look; I guarantee it." In a statement about his termination, the company says, "The board expects to discuss with Mr. Zimmer the extent, if any, and terms of his ongoing relationship with the company."
Zimmer had a statement of his own, telling CNBC he had concerns over the company's direction. "Over the past several months I have expressed my concerns to the board about the direction the company is currently heading," Zimmer says, "Instead of fostering the kind of dialogue in the »

Miley Cyrus calls alcohol 'way more dangerous' than marijuana
4 hours ago
Don't expect Miley Cyrus to turn into an alcoholic any time soon. While the pop star doesn't go as far as to call herself a stoner, she does admit that she doesn't see the problems with marijuana that she does with alcohol.
"I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana -- people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don't care," she tells Rolling Stone. "I've seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I've never seen that happen with weed."
When flat-out asked my the mag if she is a stoner, Cyrus laughs it off and answers, "You can't ask someone that and expect them to say yes. I did a song with Snoop Dogg called 'Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,' so people can put it together for themselves."
So why isn't Cyrus stressed about making her appreciation for marijuana public? Because she thinks »

'Star Wars: Episode VII' casting breakdown reveals new characters, two female teen leads
4 hours ago
We're still a ways off from knowing much about the characters in "Star Wars: Episode VII" and how they will or won't be related to the franchise's beloved existing characters, but a new casting breakdown reveals the most information yet about what we can expect.
Bleeding Cool landed the details and casting is officially underway in the UK, where director Jj Abrams expects to start production on the film in early 2014 from a script by Michael Arndt. It's scheduled to hit theaters in 2015.
There's been considerable speculation that the latest "Star Wars" saga may focus on a young female lead, and the character breakdowns seem to back that up, while also including key roles for men of various ages.
Late-teen female, independent, good sense of humour, fit.
Young twenty-something male, witty and smart, fit but not traditionally good looking.
A late twentysomething male, fit, handsome and confident.
Seventy-something male, with strong opinions and tough demeanour. »

Cher says Lady Gaga doesn't like their duet, so it won't be released
4 hours ago
Cher's upcoming album "Closer to the Truth" was supposed to include a duet with Lady Gaga, but Gaga herself has scrapped that plan.
"I did a song with Gaga and I think it's brilliant and I thought her performance was great but she doesn't like it. So, I'll play it for friends," Cher revealed during a backstage interview at last night's live finale of "The Voice."
Cher joined the line-up of superstar "Voice" performers to unveil her new single "Woman's World."
That's one of the songs that will be featured on "Truth," which is the singer's first album since 2002's "Living Proof." Also still planned for the album: the Pink-penned song "Lie to Me" and the track "Take It Lake a Man" featuring a guest vocal by Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears. »

Brad Pitt and Jimmy Fallon yodel at each other, because they can
4 hours ago
You're a big movie star. You have a high-profile new film, which you also produced, about to open. How do you promote it?
You get on a rooftop and yodel your heart out, is how. Brad Pitt, making his only late-night appearance this week in advance of the opening of "World War Z," filmed this surreal bit for "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" that aired on Tuesday's (June 18) show.
It has next to nothing to do with the movie -- Fallon mentions it in the subtitles of one of his yodels -- but you'll probably remember this longer than if Pitt had just made a regular appearance on the show. Also? Pitt's and Fallon's yodeling skills are not bad. »

'Amazing Spider-Man 2': Shailene Woodley's Mary Jane Watson cut from movie
4 hours ago
For those excited to see the introduction of Peter Parker's (Andrew Garfield) ultimate love interest, Mary Jane Watson, in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," be prepared for a long wait. Though actress Shailene Woodley was cast in the role, the part has been cut from the movie.
The revelation comes from Woodley herself, who spoke to Entertainment Weekly. "Of course I'm bummed," she says, "but I'm a firm believer in everything happening for a specific reason ... based on the proposed plot, I completely understand holding off on introducing (Mary Jane) until the next film."
The issue seems to be that there's just too much. In addition to Peter's girlfriend, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), Felicity Jones sort of confirmed that she would be playing another love interested for Spider-Man, Black Cat. With those two already on deck, it may be wise to not waste the introduction of Mary Jane on an already packed movie. »

LeBron headband: James ditches signature look and helps snag Heat win
5 hours ago
LeBron James' headband finally came off during the June 18 Miami Heat vs. San Antonio Spurs NBA Finals game, and James' loss of his signature accessory paid off with a win for his team. With just nine minutes left in the fourth quarter of the tight game, James took off his headband and went on to immediately get a dunk.
Though superstitious fans made the connection between the headband and the Heat's ultimate win, it might have gone over James' head. He tells Sports Illustrated that the events of the night's game are all a blur.
"I don't even remember the play much,'' he says. "I was just focused on the job, the task at hand, and just trying to be aggressive, just trying to figure out ways I could help the team get back into the game. And you know, I guess the headband was the least of my worries at that point. »
