Kim Kardashian defends giving 10 percent of eBay sales to charity: Is she right?
Thanks to her many years in the spotlight, Kim Kardashian has earned herself a lot of money. That is why it came as a surprise to learn that only 10 percent of the money she made by auctioning her clothes for Philippines typhoon victims would actually make it into said victims' hands.
It makes her look very bad and very greedy, and even Kardashian couldn't ignore the bad press. The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star took to her Celebuzz blog to write a post called "Giving Comes From The Heart."
"I don't publicize everything I do to help charities and people all over the world. I do it because I want to," she writes. "I do it because my dad taught me to. I do it because it's the right thing to do. So for people to attack me for giving 10% of my eBay auction sales to the people of the Philippines, »
Aretha Franklin advises Miley Cyrus to decide if she's 'a legitimate singer or a novelty'
When it comes to maintaining a career that anyone would be envious of, the "Queen of Soul" Aretha Franklin is a pro.
She has been in the spotlight since she was 15 years old, and when she appeared on "The Talk" on Tuesday (Dec. 10), she had some advice for headline-dominating star Miley Cyrus and her recent antics.
"I think she's typical of one that's very young. She's having fun, she's doing what she wants to do," Franklin says. "But I think at some point she will have to sit and decide whether or not she wants to be viewed as what is called a legitimate singer or a novelty."

Four stars of "Downton Abbey," the immensely popular period drama on PBS and ITV in the U.K., stopped by "Watch What Happens Live" Tuesday (Dec. 10), where host Andy Cohen said he had been getting so many tweets from One Direction fans about actor Allen Leech's resemblance to Niall Horan.
"He's my son," Leech deadpans. "I had him really young. I had the choice to give him to the circus or a boy band, I chose a boy band. He's done much better there 'cause his backflips are terrible."
That's kind of amazing. We honestly had never thought of it, but we also aren't British teenage girls, so. »

The 30-year-old originally enrolled at the University of Southern California before "Laguna Beach" premiered, but took some pretty obvious breaks to focus on his fame. He re-enrolled in 2011, and seems to have been a bit more dedicated to getting his degree since.
"Today was my last day of College @USC! Best 10 years of my life! #Trojans," he tweeted on Dec. 4. At the time, he said he just had to complete a Spanish exam to be ready for graduation.
So why the delay? "I was busy being famous!" he tells Us Weekly. "USC was so much fun, though, and you can never learn enough. Of course, I should probably have a doctorate or two at this point, but I'll take it. »

You've seen Lea Michele: Broadway star, and Lea Michele: TV star, but get ready for Lea Michele: pop star. The "Glee" actress has recorded her very own pop music album, and she just released the lead single, "Cannonball."
The powerful anthem, written by Sia, has lyrics like "And now I will start living today/Today, today I close the door/I got this new beginning and I will fly/I'll fly like a cannonball." It's an appropriate choice, especially considering the difficult year she's had following the death of boyfriend Cory Monteith.
"Cannonball" comes free with a pre-order of Michele's album "Louder," which hits stores on March 4, 2014.
Justin Bieber tells girl in bikini to go on 'The Biggest Loser'

It sounds like Justin Bieber is at it again. The Biebs has had a banner 2013, with his monkey troubles, peeing in places he shouldn't, tagging graffiti all over the world and that alleged prostitute thing in Brazil. Now it's being reported the Biebs was slinging insults at a young girl in a bikini at the Perth, Australia Hyatt Regency Hotel pool.
Helen Robinett, a hotel guest, tells News.com.au that Justin spoke to a girl who looked to be about a size 14 and asked if she was "Hawaiian or something." When the girl said she wasn't, Bieber reportedly responded with, "You look like a beached whale." According to the guest, he also told her "You should go on 'The Biggest Loser'."
Another guest says they saw Bieber use his hands to imitate a large belly, before the girl and her friends left the pool area.

Happy birthday, Raven-Symone!
The former Disney star turns 28 on Tuesday (Dec. 10), so Zap2it decided to take a look back at some of her best, most outrageous, and downright hilarious "That's So Raven" moments ... in Gif form.
And duh, of course we included her infamous "vision" face, though don't count out her dancing or crazy costumes. Go on, ya nasty, take a look ...
Raven-Symone was the epitome of cool back in the early 2000s:
We all envied her dancing skills:
Her dance moves only improved when she added in some outlandish costume (which happened every single episode):
We all envied her fashion:
And she never could help herself when it came to getting involved in some hijinks:
And of course, our favorite thing about Raven was her "vision" face:
Kristen Bell spends weekend at homeless shelter and 5 more reasons to love her
8 hours ago
Kristen Bell, how do we love thee? Let us count the ways.
After finding out the "Veronica Mars" star spent her Sunday at a homeless shelter to hold a beauty day giveaway to those at the People Assisting the Homeless (Path) location, our hearts swelled with happiness. Bell has been in the limelight for well over a decade, and she constantly uses her fame to help others in need.
As the Honorary Chair of Path, she frequently comes to the organization's shelters to spend time with the people there instead of doing whatever else celebrities do, which we assume involves counting their money and Googling themselves. (Just kidding. We don't actually think they do that. Well, most of them.)
What's even better about Bell is this instance is just one of the many, many ways she's given back to those around her, as well as made her opinions known in »
Jack Johnson performs 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer' in ugly Christmas sweater
9 hours ago
It's time to ring in the Christmas season over on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon." To get viewers into the right mood, singer-songwriter Jack Johnson stopped by in an awful Christmas sweater for a very mellow performance of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" with The Roots.
Johnson's version of the song includes an extra verse, with Rudolph calling out the reindeer who make fun of him. They apologize and everyone learns a little something about standing up for yourself, especially if you are eligible for a job with Santa Claus. »
'American Hustle': Amy Adams hit Bradley Cooper so hard his face swelled

Unfortunately your browser does not support IFrames.
Amy Adams seems like a fairly sweet, subdued person in real life, but she undergoes quite the transformation in the upcoming David O. Russell movie "American Hustle." She vsited "Good Morning America" Tuesday (Dec. 10) to talk about the flick and opened up about one particularly rough scene when she hit Bradley Cooper so hard in the face that it started swelling up.
It wasn't an easy scene for Adams, who said she really had to be coerced into the action. Because of that, she hit him harder than she probably should have.
"I believe you can accomplish something without hurting someone, so I kept hitting him and I guess it wasn't reading as hard enough, so David's yelling, 'Hit him! Hit him!' and Bradley's yelling, 'Hit me! Hit me!' So I did and his face starting swelling," she recalls. "I was like, »
Nicki Minaj birthday includes breasts cake and stripper pole - Pics

What's a birthday party without a stripper pole? Don't ask Nicki Minaj, because she might have trouble answering. The former "American Idol" judge celebrated her 31st birthday Sunday (Dec. 8) with several cakes and the gift of a stripper pole.
Nikki and her guests, including Kylie Jenner and Lil Twist, partied at Philippe in Beverly Hills, dining and drinking. The party was capped off with four specialty cakes, including a replica of Minaj's pink Lamborghini, one made to look like her signature pink microphone, and a Tiffany & Co. box labeled "Nicki & Co." Finally, there was a boob cake, because why not? It can be seen at E! Online (Warning: Baked nudity).
Photos of the microphone and Tiffany & Co. cakes made their way to Minaj's Instagram, along with a couple of her birthday presents. In addition to the stripper pole, Nicki got a very large pink sculpture by artist Hebru Brantley. That's »
'Game of Thrones' video game will be 'multi-year' and 'multi-title'

In case you missed the memo, the new "Game of Thrones" video game from Telltale is something to get very, very excited over. And now everyone doesn't have to get excited over it just once.
Some new details about the upcoming project come via press release, which says the deal between Telltale Games and HBO Global Licensing is a "multi-year, multi-title partnership." That means fans will getting multiple installments of the "Game of Thrones" game over several years at least.
Thus far the closest thing Telltale has done to this project is their "The Walking Dead" series. The first "season" of that game (five chapters of one story arc released over the course of a year) earned the Game of the Year title at the Spike Video Game Awards in 2012 and was a total success. With "Season 2" coming out soon, it's easy to see the format Telltale can follow with the "Game of Thrones" games. »
Amy Adams' first on-camera job was a 'Grease' parody bank commercial - Watch
13 hours ago
Before she was Lois Lane in "Man of Steel" or starring in David O. Russell's "American Hustle," Amy Adams got her start in commercials, like many other actors. Unfortunately for her, Jimmy Fallon found that commercial.
During an appearance on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" to promote "American Hustle," Amy was presented with a bank commercial she did, which the actress says was her first on-camera job. The ad is a parody of "Grease," with Adams singing in the Sandy role.
Amy's not embarrassed of her first job at all, instead she looks mesmerized and says, "Gosh, I look so young." Don't worry Amy, you still look fantastic. »

For those of you who didn't peek ahead when the show aired in the UK, it's no spoiler to know that the beginning of Season 4 is going to focus largely on Mary getting over the untimely death of Matthew. It's a death that fans didn't receive happily. Fellowes says he was shocked by how angry they were despite it being common knowledge that most British actors are only signed for three seasons.
"I'm afraid if they're never going to come back, it's the grim reaper. There's no other answer," Fellows says on "Gma." "I'm afraid he had to breathe his last. We're very sorry, but that was the way it had to be."
That means Mary is not going to »
