Buzz Blabber: True Blood Ends on a High Note

2 September 2012 3:05 AM, PDT

This week wrapped another magical season with Sookie, Bill, Eric, and the whole True Blood gang. It sounds like fans dug the finale, but some are a little over evil Bill. Here's hoping next season he'll win us back! See what commenters had to say about the episode, as well as other buzzed-about topics this week. The True Blood was great, but is Bill overkill by now? "Finale was better than I thought it was going to be. I could have done without the silly fairy birth; that was just beyond ridiculous. The only good part of it was watching Lafayette, Jane, and Arlene commenting. Thank God Russell Edgington is gone! I was so hoping Bill would follow; I was actually cheering when he dissolved into a pile of goo, but I should have known that he wouldn't be killed off." - bluegirl58 "Jaw-dropping finale. I loved it." - SU »

Love and Honor Trailer: Liam Hemsworth Leaves Vietnam and Finds Romance

31 August 2012 2:30 PM, PDT

It's your lucky day if Liam is your favorite Hemsworth, because the trailer for Love and Honor has the actor looking dreamy, shirtless, and totally devoted to one lucky lady. Hemsworth plays Mickey Wright, a guy in the army who's headed to Vietnam to fight in the war. When his best friend Dalton (Austin Stowell) wants to take a quick trip back to the States to visit his girlfriend (Aimee Teegarden), Mickey tags along even though he's nervous that their little jaunt might be construed as deserting. After Mickey meets Candace (Teresa Palmer) and quickly falls for her, deserting is exactly what he's tempted to do to stay with her. I'm happy to see Hemsworth as the leading man in a romantic drama, because it looks like he's doing a smashing job here being charming, sweet, and generally amazing looking. It's no wonder that Candace comes around to him pretty »

31 August 2012 10:15 AM, PDT

Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 comes back for a second season on Oct. 23, and I recently chatted with stars Krysten Ritter and Dreama Walker about their characters, roommates Chloe and June. The girls both talked about what we'll see this year, so watch and find out why they're both grossed out by the idea of James Van Der Beek being a love interest for either of their characters, and which of Van Der Beek's Dawson's Creek costars Ritter would like to see guest star. »

The Iceman Trailer: Michael Shannon and Chris Evans Are Cold-Blooded

31 August 2012 9:50 AM, PDT

If you didn't catch Michael Shannon's intensely psychotic role in Premium Rush, you should definitely take a gander at the trailer for The Iceman. Shannon stars in the movie based on the true story of the now-notorious Iceman, contract killer Richard Kuklinski. (The Iceman claims to have killed over 100 people in the 1980s). Chris Evans plays his right-hand man, a dirty ice cream truck vendor who helps hack up the bodies once Richard has made the hit. I find Shannon to be absolutely gripping as the man hiding his dangerous career from his innocent wife (Winona Ryder) and kids. I'm also really happy to see Ray Liotta, one of my favorite movie mobsters, as the Iceman's boss. And just when you think it's over - looky, looky, it's James Franco! Check out the chilling trailer (no pun intended) for The Iceman after the jump. »

For a Good Time, Call . . . Stars on Phone Sex and Roommate Horror Stories

31 August 2012 9:13 AM, PDT

In select theaters today, For a Good Time, Call . . . stars Ari Graynor and Lauren Miller as two roommates who run a phone sex line. We recently chatted with Lauren - who also cowrote the screenplay - and Ari about their sweet and sexy flick, which is actually based loosely on cowriter Katie Anne Naylon's real-life experiences as a phone sex operator in college! (Check out our interview with Katie here.) Lauren and Ari shared their own roommate horror stories, how they researched the business of phone sex, and what it was like to be a part of this new wave of raunchy female comedies. Plus, Lauren dished on the effect this sexy role had on her relationship with hubby Seth Rogen, who has a cameo in the film. Watch our interview now! »

The stars of the Twilight movies have got fame and good looks, but did you know they also have some killer dance skills? Well, at least Taylor Lautner does. Though he doesn't get the chance to show them off often as werewolf Jacob, little Lautner is seen here dancing his little heart out to Usher's "Yeah" back in his What's New, Scooby Doo? days. Let's just say dude's got some moves you've never seen. »

Movie Cliffs Notes: School Books That Have Been Adapted For the Big Screen

30 August 2012 2:30 PM, PDT

It's always fun to read books that are going to be made into movies, but I think we're all guilty of watching a movie instead of reading a book at some time . . . and that time was probably when you were in school. Since it's back-to-school time right now, let's reflect on the required reading books from your high school days that were adapted into film, whether you used them to ace a pop quiz or to get a broader vision of a beloved novel. Shia Labeouf Jokes That He Got His New Role With His Own Sex Tape

30 August 2012 10:08 AM, PDT

Shia Labeouf has been making the rounds promoting his new movie, Lawless, but he's getting a lot more attention for his upcoming project with Lars von Trier. Considering that the movie is titled Nymphomaniac, it's no surprise that the film is causing a stir, and Chelsea Handler couldn't resist asking Labeouf about it when he stopped by Chelsea Lately this week. Labeouf good-naturedly played along with her line of questioning, joking that he got the role with the help of a homemade sex tape. Watch! »
