Buzz Blabber: The Great Gatsby Is Already Capturing Hearts

27 May 2012 3:05 AM, PDT

Between the glittery pictures and the trailer for The Great Gatsby, moviegoers are already looking forward to Baz Luhrmann's film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's famous novel. However, it was a big week for TV, too, and with finales popping off like champagne corks at one of Gatsby's soirees, everyone had something to say about the dramatic season enders of Glee and Revenge. The Great Gatsby might be Baz's next hit "Love Leo, I always envisioned him as Gatsby! The trailer looks great. The scenes, clothes - gosh, I love the roaring '20s! Can't wait until the movie comes out." - BlackKitty "Amazing. Baz has done it again! Buzz, it might be said that the modern music may be used in the same way as done in Moulin Rouge - perhaps as an example of how revolutionary the music was of the time period, like architecture and entertainment? »

26 May 2012 3:05 AM, PDT

Amid all the speculation about Fifty Shades of Grey casting, we offered some humble suggestions for the role of Christian. We're also wondering who should play Anastasia. Meanwhile, Selena Gomez made a hilarious Fifty Shades parody for Funny or Die. Everyone is abuzz about Leonardo DiCaprio's '20s role after seeing the trailer for The Great Gatsby and the intriguing pictures. Everyone's got red eye in the new character posters for Breaking Dawn Part 2. With wedding season on the brain, we recalled all our favorite bridal parties from the small and big screens and reminisced about One Tree Hill's many epic weddings. Buzz Time Machine: Matthew Morrison and Zooey Deschanel in Once Upon a Mattress

25 May 2012 3:00 PM, PDT

Seven years ago, before their starring roles on hit Fox series, in a land far, far away, Matthew Morrison and Zooey Deschanel were just two star-crossed lovers in Once Upon a Mattress. Disney's TV movie production may not have been what catapulted the two to fame toward Glee and New Girl, but we sure are glad this exists in the universe. I'm wondering if this song, "In a Little While," was on Morrison's audition tape for the part of Mr. Schuester. »

Watch, Pass, or Rent Video Review: Men in Black 3

25 May 2012 10:14 AM, PDT

Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are back as the Men in Black when the third installment of the franchise hits theaters this weekend. This time around, Smith's character, Agent J, has to go back in time to rescue his partner (Josh Brolin plays the young Agent K). So does the film live up to the original, or is this just another unnecessary sequel? We'll tell you if the movie is a watch, pass, or rent. »

Watch Will Smith and Jimmy Fallon Make Old-Timey Music Magic

25 May 2012 8:35 AM, PDT

Will Smith stopped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night to promote his new flick Men in Black 3 and ended up making some sweet, sweet music with the talk show host. Or, at least, their "great grandfathers" did. Turns out Smith and Fallon's relatives played together on a radio show and their tunes may have inspired some of Smith's hit songs, like "Parents Just Don't Understand." Though Smith remains adamant that he came up with the tunes on his own, the resemblance is remarkable . . . Photo courtesy of NBC »

Moonrise Kingdom: A Retro Delight

25 May 2012 6:00 AM, PDT

Everything about Moonrise Kingdom is unmistakably Wes Anderson: the hazy cinematography, the clever dialogue, and even the use of the director's favorite actors. Indeed, Anderson isn't leaving his comfort zone as a filmmaker, but Moonrise Kingdom is still a pleasure to watch. Set in 1965, the movie tells the story of Sam and Suzy (newcomers Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward), preteen pen pals who conspire to run away together. As they set up camp all over an island off the coast of New England, they're being pursued by Sam's scout troop (led by camp counselor Edward Norton), Suzy's parents (Bill Murray and Frances McDormand), and different authorities (Bruce Willis and Tilda Swinton). Sam and Suzy's experience with young love is sweet and complicated, and made all the more dreamy through Anderson's lens. The elements might be familiar, but Anderson proves why he's such an admired director with a film like this. »

Video: Tony Hale Talks Veep and HBO's Racy Scenes

25 May 2012 4:00 AM, PDT

Tony Hale is currently starring as the very funny, slightly codependent Gary on HBO's Veep, opposite Julia Louis-Dreyfus. I recently sat down with him in NYC to chat about the hit show's second season pickup and his concerns about whether or not he'll have to strip down for the notoriously racy network. Check it out and stay tuned for part two of this interview, where I get him to spill about the upcoming Arrested Development movie! »

Men in Black 3: A Return to (Alien Life) Form

25 May 2012 2:00 AM, PDT

I saw the original Men in Black movie so long ago that my memories of the film might as well have been zapped with a neuralyzer (that's the memory-erasing device the guys use in the movie, for those of you who are also having trouble recalling the original). What I did retain is that the film was funny, fresh, and silly and that it didn't hold up very well for the 2002 sequel. With that in mind, I had low expectations for Men in Black 3, but the newest installment is just as much fun as the original, and it actually benefits from the 15-year time lapse. The script for the film is one of its biggest assets and truly sets Men in Black 3 apart from its predecessors. The aliens are still alive and ickier than ever now that they're in 3D, but the story is more focused on the »

Video: Sam Claflin Talks Love Triangles and Horseback-Riding Mishaps on the Swath Set

25 May 2012 1:12 AM, PDT

Sam Claflin joins Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, and Chris Hemsworth in the action-packed movie Snow White and the Huntsman. We sat down with the actor, who plays Prince William, at a recent press day near London, where he described the experience as a "dream come true." He shared stories of the on-set fun and admitted that his biggest challenge was with horseback riding. Sam also talked about working with the "charming" Kristen and even touched on being caught in the film's love triangle. Check out our interview with Sam, and make sure to see Swath when it hits theaters on June 1. »

New Trailer For The Watch: See the Aliens!

24 May 2012 5:21 PM, PDT

The latest preview for The Watch is here, and while the first trailer for the suburban alien-fighting comedy gave us a good look at the bromance between Ben Stiller, Jonah Hill, Vince Vaughn, and Richard Ayoade, it was lacking in plot. Now we get a look at not only the characters, but also a little bit more of the story, and we even get a peek at one of the aliens. I mean, it's dead (kind of) but it's still pretty exciting. This trailer definitely isn't as crass as the first red-band one, but I don't think its lack of crudeness takes away from the dynamic between the characters. Now we know the origin of the sweet neighborhood watch jackets ("It's like the Chinese symbol for shut up and dance!") and the group's skilled interrogation techniques. Plus we still get to see some exploding cow. The movie hits theaters July »

What Did You Think of the Revenge Season Finale?

24 May 2012 9:59 AM, PDT

I'm still reeling from the first season finale of Revenge. Though I've been following the show since day one, my allegiance had slipped a little in the past few weeks because the plot seemed to be straying - until this week's episode. Color me happily surprised! At first, I thought the big shocker was when Amanda shows up . . . pregnant! I knew as soon as Victoria gets out of the limo and approaches the plane that something is amiss, then when the white-haired man shows up, I think we all knew that plane was going down. Then Charlotte overdoses, and in case that's not enough for you, Emily's mom is still alive! It's like a series of little brain bombs! Are you as impressed as I am with the way season one ends? Will you be tuning in next season? Photo copyright 2012 ABC, Inc. »
