Watch SNL Take On The Hunger Games With Sofia Vergara

8 April 2012 11:00 AM, PDT

It was only a matter of time before the writers at SNL cashed in on The Hunger Games craze, and they pulled off a funny parody with a little help from host Sofia Vergara. Exploiting Vergara's accent as usual, she steps into the arena as a Hunger Games reporter with a flair for getting tributes killed and patenting a Hunger Games shimmy. Bill Hader also does a pretty good Caesar Flickerman impression, and yes, there's a glimpse of Katniss. Watch the clip when you read more. »

Buzz Blabber: The Jury Is Still Out on Dan vs. Chuck

8 April 2012 3:05 AM, PDT

Between season premieres and questionable casting news, there were quite a few topics on the community radar this week. Game of Thrones is officially back in action, and we're not the only ones who are stoked about its return. Meanwhile, the news that Ashton Kutcher will be playing Steve Jobs in an upcoming biopic got you talking and the debate over who is the best match for Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf continued. The Dan vs. Chuck battle rages on "I like Dan, just not with Blair. Well, I like them as friends anyways. Chuck and Blair are on the same level. He's the king of the Upper East Side and she is the queen. They have been through so much together, yet still love one another. And the fact that people are saying Dan loves her for her . . . last time I checked so did Chuck." - Leah2521728 "Chuck and Blair. »

Rewind: A Happy Ending For Happy Endings

7 April 2012 3:05 AM, PDT

Happy Endings finished up its second season this week so we rounded up some of the funniest moments from a pretty outrageous season. While one series ended for the year, another ended for good. To say farewell, we looked at One Tree Hill's series highlights. Wedding season is officially under way, and to help you get the party started, we remembered Emily and Daniel's fairy-tale engagement on Revenge, brought out the album from American Wedding, and called out our favorite wedding crashers. The new trailer for Rock of Ages got us thinking about memorable movie rock stars. Summer can't come fast enough after getting a sneak peek at True Blood season five. To celebrate his 47th birthday, we took a trip down memory lane with 47 hot pictures of Robert Downey Jr. We're still talking about these moments from the Game of Thrones season premiere. Ahead of the release of The Lucky One, »

Lola Versus Trailer: Greta Gerwig Figures Out the Single Life

6 April 2012 10:47 AM, PDT

Greta Gerwig is often relegated to playing supporting roles, but in Lola Versus, she's taking the lead as the title character, a woman who gets dumped by her fiancé (The Killing's Joel Kinnaman) while planning their wedding. Her BFFs (including Whitney's Zoe Lister-Jones) are ready to reintroduce Lola to the single life - even though it may be a little too soon. As she explores therapy, dating, and hooking up with new people, Lola tries to figure out who she is on her own, while uttering some pretty hilarious dialogue ("I'm power eating!"). I fell for this trailer right from the opening, when "Go Outside" by Cults starts up, to everything Lola's well-meaning friends say. It makes sense that Lister-Jones has some of the best lines - she wrote the film with Daryl Wein, and they're the same pair who wrote 2009's Breaking Upwards, which I loved. Gerwig also »

Buzz Time Machine: Adam Brody Stars in Growing Up Brady

6 April 2012 5:30 AM, PDT

With all the buzz about his new film Damsels in Distress, we were thinking about how much we loved Adam Brody back in the day. Ok, still do. We did some digging to see if we could find anything from his pre-Seth Cohen days, and guess what? We struck gold. Turns out Adam got his start playing Barry Williams in the made-for-tv movie Growing Up Brady, though it will heretofore be known as Growing Up Brody. In this scene, he's finding young love with his costar/onscreen sister (it's The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco!), to the tune of "Crimson and Clover." You're welcome. »

American Reunion: A Yearbook of Bad Memories

6 April 2012 3:05 AM, PDT

In 1999, a raunchy comedy called American Pie became an instant high school movie classic boasting the tagline "There's something about your first piece." That line feels truer than ever upon the release of American Reunion, the third sequel in the franchise. The film tries to capture the humor and spirit of the original film, but all it does is make you wish the Pie films had quit when they were ahead. Thirteen years after graduation, we find Jim (Jason Biggs), settled down with former band geek Michelle (Alyson Hannigan). Their once-spicy sex life has dwindled following the birth of their first child, and he's mostly lost touch with his former BFFs Oz (Chris Klein), Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas), and Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas). To remedy the situation, the foursome vows to have a boys' weekend back in their hometown for their high school reunion. Of course, the weekend becomes a disaster complete with binge drinking, »

Grey's Anatomy Rundown, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight"

5 April 2012 10:07 PM, PDT

The doctors are in the lion's den on this week's episode of Grey's Anatomy, and not just in the figurative sense. A lion attack gets the surgeons in a tizzy (and gives Derek and Meredith a good story to tell). Owen gets himself into even hotter water when he puts his foot in his mouth, and Teddy manages to insult a group of widows. The biggest development of the episode is what could have been with Lexie and Mark, but without the climax, it's a bit of a dull episode. Let's break it down when you read more. A week has elapsed since Owen came clean to Cristina about his cheatin' ways, and Cristina has been giving him the silent treatment ever since (oh, how the tables have turned in this situation). Desperate to figure out what to do, Owen turns to Meredith assuming she's attuned to the situation, but »

American Idol: Was the Right Person Voted Off?

5 April 2012 6:28 PM, PDT

Another week goes by on American Idol, and another hopeful competitor bites the dust. This time it was smooth crooner DeAndre Brackensick, one of Jennifer Lopez's favorite contestants. It seems his rendition of '80s classic "I Like It" was not enough to save him from elimination, nor was it enough to inspire the judges to use their save on him. Joining him in the bottom three were Hollie Cavanagh and Elise Testone. Though he was indubitably talented, it felt like DeAndre never found his footing with the fans. Despite his best efforts, he was consistently chosen as the right person to head home in our polls, and having watched all of his performances this season, I have to agree. What do you think, Idol fans, was it his time to go? Photo courtesy of Fox American Idol: Was the Right Person Voted Off? Yes - He had already overstayed his welcome. »

Savages Trailer: Blake Lively in a Tale of Two Drug Dealers

5 April 2012 1:45 PM, PDT

Blake Lively is no stranger to juggling multiple men as Serena van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl, so it's not much of a stretch to see her with two lovers in Savages. In the Oliver Stone film, Lively plays O, a woman who's romantically involved with a pair of big-time pot dealers (Aaron Johnson and Taylor Kitsch), who also happen to be best friends. The love triangle gets even more complicated when the guys refuse to go into business with a Mexican drug cartel, and O is kidnapped in an attempt to change their minds. The trailer for the film is dark, gritty, and sexy: Johnson is the brains of the operation while Kitsch is the brawn, and there's no shortage of gratuitous violence, as they get deeper into trouble. There's also plenty of star power in the supporting cast here, including John Travolta, Salma Hayek, and Benicio del Toro. »

The Lucky One's Taylor Schilling Talks Love Scenes With Zac Efron: "Not a Bad Day to Come to Work"

5 April 2012 10:56 AM, PDT

Zac Efron's The Lucky One costar Taylor Schilling is the lucky one, indeed - the actress plays his love interest in the drama, and when I visited the set of the film, I got to chat with her and a few other reporters about her dreamy leading man. Schilling also joked about shooting their love scenes, and gave us some insight into her character Beth. Is it tough shooting the love scenes with Zac? Taylor Schilling: I mean, I don't know. I don't think so. I wonder what he’ll say. . . [it's] not a bad day to come to work and do that. But you know, it’s not as exciting as you would think it is either; it’s a day that’s very technical when you have to do that in front of a camera. What were your expectations of Zac? Ts: The thing is, honestly, I »
