You had some great, funny reactions that you expressed in the comments, so take a look at our favorite ones below. The jury's still out on Johnny Depp and the Dark Shadows trailer "This lover of vampires is loving Depp as one!" - ojoba "Ok, so this is going to reveal my age, but I loved Dark Shadows. I watched it daily with my sweet grandmother who liked the show as much as I did. And I love Johnny Depp, too. But he is no Barnabas Collins, sorry. Mr. Collins was old, stocky, and scary. Johnny Depp is just too lovely-looking to frighten me. I will see it, of course, and will probably love it, but Dark Shadows will »

Was the Right Person Voted Off American Idol?

16 March 2012 10:32 AM, PDT

Despite her heartfelt rendition of Mariah Carey's "One Sweet Day" this week, Shannon Magrane, the 16-year-old Florida native, has been cut from American Idol. This is a particularly harsh blow because this means Shannon will not be joining her fellow top contestants for the obligatory postshow Idols Tour. Following Tuesday night's semitraumatic episode in which Jermaine Jones was publicly booted for withholding information about his four outstanding arrest warrants, we're a little taken aback that producers forged ahead with an elimination this week. We're also a bit surprised by Shannon's exit. Was she the best competitor? No. But she didn't get the worst feedback. (The fact that "least terrible" seems to be the measure of this week's performances is a sad truth.) What do you think - did Shannon deserve to go? The Office, "Get the Girl": Best Lines of the Night

16 March 2012 10:04 AM, PDT

In this week's episode of The Office, Andy travels down to Tallahassee to go after Erin. With Andy out, Nellie pops up out of nowhere and decides she wants Andy's job. Initially, I was just as annoyed as everyone in Scranton that she shows up, but I've got to be real and say that Nellie does have her moments in the performance reviews, especially when she puts Pam down for a nap and explains why she's just like Tinkerbell. I'm so proud of Erin for standing up for herself, and equally proud of her for chasing after Andy and realizing he's the one. This week's episode is sweet and light, with a few laugh-out-loud moments to boot. Check out my favorite lines from "Get the Girl" after the jump. »

21 Jump Street: You Have the Right to Laugh Out Loud

16 March 2012 3:05 AM, PDT

There's lots of action in 21 Jump Street - car chases, shootouts, two mismatched partners - but the real reason to see it is that it's side-splittingly funny from beginning to end. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill play Jenko and Schmidt, two relatively new cops whose incompetency lands them in an undercover program in high schools. Their assignment is to root out the dealers and suppliers of a dangerous new designer drug. As they spend more time in their new, younger identities, Jenko and Schmidt essentially switch high school personas. Former jock Jenko takes a foray into science with a clique of nerds, while Schmidt is welcomed into the unfamiliar world of the popular crowd. Tatum and Hill get lots of laughs from their nerd/popular kid juxtaposition, and their chemistry is the key to why 21 Jump Street is so entertaining. The film is inspired by the TV series of the same name, »

16 March 2012 1:42 AM, PDT

Director Gary Ross is already getting overwhelmingly positive reviews for his big-screen interpretation of The Hunger Games, and when we spoke with him at a recent press day in Beverly Hills, he told us his vision of his film fell into place when he saw Jennifer Lawrence audition and was "transformed." He reflected on the scene she so impressed him with and also shared some stories about working with his kids - both of whom were big fans of the book - on set. We also asked Gary to talk about making the tough decisions about storylines from the text that wouldn't make it to the big screen.
