Thanks Well Go USA ! Kill Zone 2 Aka Spl 2 Finally Coming To Blu Ray and DVD

In this giddily frenetic follow-up (though not a sequel) to modern martial arts epic Kill Zone (aka Spl: Sha Po Lang), action icons Tony Jaa (Furious 7, Ong Bak franchise) and Zhang Jin (Ip Man 3) team up with Hong Kong megastars Simon Yam (Ip Man), Wu Jing (Wolf Warrior) and Louis Koo (Drug War) for the critically-acclaimed, action-packed martial arts extravaganza Kill Zone 2, debuting on Blu-ray™ and DVD July 19 from Well Go USA Entertainment.

Directed by Pou-Soi Cheang (Accident, Motorway), the film is a breakneck story of dirty cops, prison riots, and black market organ transplants, all brought together by a non-stop series of inventive, bone-crunching setpieces.

Rated 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, Kill Zone 2 was named a “Film of Merit” at the 2016 Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards and Chung Chi Li (Ip Man: The Final Fight) won a Golden Horse at the 2016 Hong Kong Film Awards for Best Action Choreography. »

Trailer for Dante Lam’s upcoming film “Operation Mekong”

29 June 2016 12:23 AM, PDT

A China-Hong Kong co-production, the film is based on real events and tells the story of a merchant vessel operating in the Mekong River Delta in 2011 that was attacked by bandits leaving 13 people dead. Chinese authorities teamed up with police forces from Thailand, Laos and Burma to launch an investigation into the incident when a massive stash of drugs was found on board.

“Operation” Mekong reunites the director once more with Taiwanese leading man Eddie Peng, whom he has previously worked with on box office smash “Unbeatable” and this summer’s cycling drama “To The Fore”.

Peng will play opposite mainland star Zhang Hanyu, who was seen recently as the lead in Tsui Hark’s “The Taking of Tiger Mountain”, as well as in a key supporting role in Venice closer “Mr. Six” alongside Feng Xiaogang. Actress Feng Wenjuan also stars.

Shooting locations include China (Beijing and Yunnan), Thailand and »
