19 December 2013 8:15 AM, PST

There was a whole lot of prime-time singing Wednesday night. Celine Dion had her Home for the Holidays special on CBS. Michael Buble had his 3rd annual Christmas special on NBC, which also aired The Sing-Off. Fox had The X Factor finale. Even The CW got into the mix, with its iHeart Radio Jingle Ball. Who came out on top?

The Sing-Off was easily in front, with 5.4 million viewers and a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating.

Buble’s special and X Factor tied, with both shows getting 5 million viewers and a 1.3 rating. That’s an all-time low for a non-special Wednesday night episode of Factor, »

18 December 2013 3:00 PM, PST

Even in a television world full of DVRs, streaming services, and YouTube, commercials are still going strong. It’s a fact that all Super Bowl fans are well aware of, along with some of the other live-Tweeters left out there. And, as has always been the case with commercials, some are better than others. There are the ones that make you laugh every time they come on, the ones that somehow make you cry in less than two minutes, and the ones you wish you could un-see. We’ve got a little taste of all of the above when we »

100 most-watched shows on broadcast TV

18 December 2013 11:02 AM, PST

With the year almost over, it’s time to take stock over what shows brought the most viewers — and which ones didn’t. The No. 1 show shouldn’t surprise you (who can deny the power of Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly?) but it’s nice to see a newbie in the Top 10 (way to go, James Spader!).

Here are the Top 100 most-watched shows of the fall. (Survey dates are from Sept. 23 to Dec. 15). Remember, Persons 2+ isn’t the coveted advertiser demo, but it sure doesn’t hurt to have a show that millions upon millions like to watch.

Jimmy Fallon reveals his lunar 'Tonight Show' logo

18 December 2013 9:34 AM, PST

This is really happening, people.

Late Night host Jimmy Fallon has just tweeted out the logo for his revamped Tonight Show, premiering next February after the Olympics on NBC. The all-caps letters are reminiscent of Fallon’s Late Night logo. The full orb may be making you thirsty for a beer. It seems more modern than current Tonight host Jay Leno’s own logo — and it’s also got approximately 90 percent more moon.

Whitely followed the former Massachusetts governor and his family for six years, culminating at his declaration of defeat in the 2012 presidential campaign.  “So what do you think you say in a concession speech?” we see Romney informally polling his family.

“If you don’t win, we’ll still love you, the »

'The Walking Dead': Robert Kirkman on when we might see comic book villain Negan on the show

18 December 2013 7:48 AM, PST

The Governor met his demise in the midseason finale of The Walking Dead through a combination of Michonne’s sword, Lilly’s gun, and his own warped thirst for power and revenge. Once he stopped stumbling around like a homeless hippie and got his evil, power-hungry mojo back, the Governor doomed himself and now we won’t have to look at his sorry face again. (Blame Lilly for that, for had she not shot him in the head, we at least had the possibility of seeing him come back as the first ever eye-patched pirate zombie, which would be only, »

Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson is making anti-gay comments in the January issue of GQ.

In statements that threaten the A&E reality hit’s wildly popular and uplifting brand of faith, family and hunting, the Robertson patriarch said: “Everything is blurred on what’s right and what’s wrong… Sin becomes fine. Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.” Robertson then paraphrased Corinthians from the Bible: “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, »
