Charlie Countryman First Trailer

8 October 2013 3:20 PM, PDT

Millennium Entertainment has revealed the first trailer for director Fredrik Bond’s film Charlie Countryman, which stars Shia Labeouf, Evan Rachel Wood, Mads Mikkelsen, Melissa Leo and Rupert Grint. The film made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year to the mixed reviews from critics. The pic is a very stylized, very music video-esque fairy tale that feels like it was made in the post-Tarantino ’90s. Labeouf stars as an American tourist who goes to Europe to fulfill his mother’s dream, but who falls in love with beautiful Romanian girl Gabi (played by Rachel Wood), the estranged wife of a psychotic gangster »

New Trailer For The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty

7 October 2013 12:36 PM, PDT

Ben Stiller has really outdone himself in a new trailer for his epic-scale flick The Secret Life of Walter Mitty in which he co-stars with Kristen Wiig, Shirley MacLaine, Adam Scott, Patton Oswalt, Kathryn Hahn and Sean Penn. Based on the short story by James Thurber, Stiller‘s latest directorial effort premiered to mixed-but-passionate reviews at the New York Film Festival this past weekend. That is a major liberty he’s taken in telling the original story which seems decidedly uncinematic. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is the globe-spanning fantasy adventure film  in Stiller’s quirky comedic style that will hit theaters this coming Christmas Day. Check »

Chrysler’s chief marketing officer Olivier Francois said that San Diego’s top rated newsman, Ron Burgundy is very much like Dodge because ‘he is unapologetic, he is irreverent and he has a great deal of attitude.’ What could be more engaging and entertaining … than to explain all of the new technology and features through the eyes of a guy who comes from the ’70s? said Francois. According to Burgundy, the vehicle has 360 »

7 October 2013 4:07 AM, PDT

Quentin Tarantino has taken to publicly publishing a list of his Top 10 movies from each year and released a list of his 10 favorite films of 2013 thus far. There’s a surprising number of big, popcorn blockbusters here. I know Tarantino has some oddball choices, but with those he has overcome himself. And, when you really think about it, they’re good enough for him, especially with The Lone Ranger, This Is the End and Kick-Ass 2. On the other hand, this list is the usual eclectic and  interesting mix of indies, character-driven dramas, comic-book movies, and mainstream titles as he’s delivered in recent years. »
