Episode Recap: The Mentalist - 3.05: "The Red Ponies"

22 October 2010 12:11 PM, PDT

What happens when we get Jane (Simon Baker) out of the Fortress of Solitude, and back bonding with his team mates again? A ridiculously fun episode of The Mentalist (TV)! When you're about to carry a casket around a mausoleum, be sure to find out how many bodies are inside, and save your back. Unfortunately, the guys carrying this important casket didn't check, and therefore are surprised when they drop the heavy box and two bodies roll out. Only one was supposed to be there, you see. The woman falling out of the casket is Valerie Monroe, a doctor in residence at the local hospital who has grey fibers stuck to her, a bruise on the back of her neck, and a needle mark in her neck. Lanie (Tamala Jones) tells Beckett (Stana Katic) and Castle (Nathan Fillion) that someone pushed an air embolism into her neck, killing her. Needles and murder with medical know-how leads them to the hospital where Dr. Monroe worked. There they meet the hospitals answer to McDreamy, Nurse McClintock (Michael Cassidy), who keeps a bevy »
