Kevin Feige Explains Marvel's Plan for Future Movie Villains
11 hours ago
Though each and every Marvel superhero movie has been a critical and financial success, one of the biggest complaints has been the villains. They always seem to be mirror images of which ever superhero is getting his own standalone or spin-off. And most have been kind of lame. Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige claims that is all about to change soon.
The McU officially kicked off Marvel Phase 3 this summer with Captain America: Civil War, and in an interesting twist, the main villain was each other. Sure Baron Zemo stepped in towards the end to reveal his dastardly plan, and he was one of the first bad guys not to be a straight up doppleganger. Soon, Thanos will arrive to wreck havoc on the Marvel movie universe. And it sounds like the days of mirror-villains is almost nearing an end.
Most of the time, in the past Marvel movies, we've »
Deathstroke Scene Teased in New Justice League Set Photo
13 hours ago
Exactly one month ago today, Justice League star Ben Affleck gave fans quite the surprise by posting a brief video that clearly showed the iconic character Deathstroke on the set. Joe Manganiello was cast a few weeks later, but that report revealed he will be the main villain in Ben Affleck's stand alone Batman reboot, with no official word that he was appearing in Justice League. But now we have yet another hint. Director Zack Snyder sent out a cryptic set photo today, which appears to have a hidden Deathstroke message.
The director sent out a photo on Twitter, where he's seen wearing Batman's gauntlet, while doing some storyboarding work on a tablet. Another Twitter user dubbed "DC Extended Universe" enhanced the photo which reveals that the director may in fact have been working on a scene with Deathstroke. We still haven't gotten any iron-clad confirmation about whether or »
21 Movies That Scored 100% on Rotten Tomatoes
13 hours ago
Getting 100% on the Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer means a lot to people. It's a very coveted rating for any movie to get, and very few have been successful. Though a few classics have managed to get there, some have only gotten close. Maybe off by a percent or two. But that still makes them nearly perfect in the eyes of the audience. And that is what we are celebrating today, movies that got 100% on the Tomatometer at Rotten Tomatoes. Or movies that got extremely, extremely close.
The Tomatometer, ever heard of it? That little percent meter that people now use to decide if they should or shouldn't see a movie, all according to its rotten score. This so called 'rotten rating' has gotten me in a lot of trouble. How you ask? Lets just say that when I suggest a movie to see and somebody says, "It only got Fill In »

Greg Rucka, the writer for that series, confirms what many fans had suspected, that this Wonder Woman is in fact queer.
Greg Rucka and artists Nicola Scott and Liam Sharp introduced this new version of Wonder Woman in the graphic novel Wonder Woman: Year One, followed by the weekly DC Comics Bombshells digital-first series and the twice-monthly DC Universe Rebirth Wonder Woman series. Comicosity asked Greg Rucka straight up if the Wonder Woman he has crafted is queer, »

While we know Harrison Ford is set to return as the iconic archaeologist in Indiana Jones 5, we still have just under three years until that big screen adventure hits theaters. While we wait to see what Indy has in store for fans on the big screen, an enterprising filmmaker decided to make his own animated version of this iconic character. This 100-second short is more than just an animated fan film, it serves as the opening sequence for a potential animated series.
Dutch artist Patrick Schoenmaker put together this 100-second fan film, which was posted by the YouTube channel Frame Order, that shows what some of Indy's animated adventures may look like. While there is no voice over dialogue in the short, there are cameos from iconic characters such as Marion Ravenwood, Short-Round and Marcus Brody, along with some Nazi villains. The filmmaker even opens his film with a shot of a mountain, »
Shyamalan's Split Boycotted for Harmful Mental Illness Message
16 hours ago
Any press is good press, and a little controversy never hurt any horror movie in the history of cinema. In fact, the genre has been established on outcries from the public. The Care2 Petition Says Split is transphobic and offers a harmful narrative surrounding mental Illness. Anyone who agrees with this message can sign the petition at Care2. The site claims that Split is bringing a backwards representation of gender identity and mental illness to the masses, and it must be stopped!
In the film, James McAvoy plays a character with 24 different split personalities, a symptom of dissociative identity disorder. His character kidnaps teenage girls and holds them captive. In the trailer, he can be »

It's been more than three years since J.J. Abrams first revealed his involvement in video game adaptations of Portal and Half-Life, but there have been very few updates about either project thus far. While promoting 10 Cloverfield Lane this spring, the filmmaker teased that both projects are still in development, with writers currently working on the scripts, but he didn't identify these scribes quite yet. During the red carpet premiere of Westworld this week, J.J. Abrams not only confirmed that Portal is still in development, but he hopes there will be an official announcement soon.
J.J. Abrams first made the announcement about both Portal and Half-Life movies at the 2013 Dice convention with Gabe Newell, the co-founder Valve, which developed both of the hit games. After three years of development, it seems that Bad Robot and Valve have moved forward enough that an official announcement is imminent. Here's what J.J. Abrams had »

With production slated to begin this coming January on Marvel's Black Panther, the studio has brought on Person of Interest star Winston Duke as M'Baku, a.k.a. Man-Ape. This villainous character is said to have a "key role" in this adaptation. It isn't known if Man-Ape will be aligned with the movie's main villain, Erik Killmonger, played by Michael B. Jordan, but this casting may shed some light on a cryptic statement by Lupita Nyong'o.
During Marvel's Comic-Con presentation, the studio brought out Chadwick Boseman as T'challa, who was introduced in Captain America: Civil War along with his co-stars Michael B. Jordan (Erik Killmonger), Danai Gurira (Okoye) and Lupita Nyong'o (Nakia). During interviews after the presentation, Lupita Nyong'o revealed the first story details, stating that Black Panther's "leadership is threatened when two foes come together," as T'challa seeks the help of both the CIA and the Dora Miljae. »

Masterminds Review: Doesn't Live Up to Its Comedy Pedigree
20 hours ago
Masterminds is a slapstick comedy based on a historic 1997 bank heist. It has an all-star cast of comedy veterans with direction by Jared Hess of Napoleon Dynamite fame. Unfortunately it doesn't nearly live up to its pedigree. There are a few laughs sprinkled throughout. The sight gags and costumes being its strength by far. The problem is that it's silly stupid, not silly funny. I could watch Dumb and Dumber fifty times. It's stupid, but knockdown funny. Masterminds plays like a weak SNL sketch that goes on for ninety minutes.
Zach Galifianakis stars as David Ghantt, a schlubby armored car driver in backwoods North Carolina. He's engaged but openly pines for Janice (Kristen Wiig), an ex-coworker. Janice's duplicitous childhood friend (Owen Wilson) convinces her to manipulate David into robbery. The result is a massive score with a whole lot of epically bumbling consequences.
The production design, costumes, and hairstyles fuel the sight gags. »
John Carpenter and Rob Zombie End Their Halloween Feud
28 September 2016 6:09 PM, PDT
Earlier this week, a Q&A session with horror master John Carpenter started making the rounds, particularly a segment where he addressed Rob Zombie's 2007 Halloween remake. After a fan asked what he thought about the remake, John Carpenter said that Rob Zombie lied about him, stating in a documentary that John Carpenter was "cold" towards him, while the filmmaker claims that he was nothing but supportive. It seems this "feud" of sorts has come to an end, according to John Carpenter.
Last night, John Carpenter took to Twitter to release a brief statement about this feud, which he called "old news." Apparently, the entire matter has been forgiven, according to the filmmaker. Here's what John Carpenter had to say on Twitter last night.
"To everyone fascinated with the Jc/Rz feud, old news. We spoke Sunday, we buried the hatchet. Let's move on."

Just like Hasbro did with Transformers, Fast & Furious director Justin Lin is developing a Hot Wheels movie with his production company Perfect Storm Entertainment. The project is reportedly in the very early stages, but Lin is attached to direct the movie for Legendary Pictures.
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news, also revealing that Justin Lin and his company Perfect Storm will have the option to co-finance the movie. The director and his partner Troy Craig Poon, along with Legendary, are reportedly searching for a writer to board the project and bring Hot Wheels to life. The report also notes that this project will not be Justin Lin's next directorial effort, as it is still very early in the development process. He is also attached to Space Jam 2, so perhaps »

28 September 2016 3:37 PM, PDT
Ever since production started on Transformers: The Last Knight, there have been a steady stream of videos and photos from the set, thanks to director Michael Bay and the franchise's social media accounts. Yesterday, as part of their #TransfomersTuesday tradition, a new video was released from the set that offers our first look at the "Baybuster." While the "Baybuster" isn't a an Autobot or Decepticon, it is responsible for quite a lot of damage on the Transformers 5 set.
The video debuted on the franchise's Facebook page, which briefly shows Michael Bay on set, before the "Baybuster" is rolled out. This vehicle is equipped with an inclined ramp attached to the hood, that is used to perfectly flip over vehicles on the Transformers 5 set. As we can see in this video, it achieves the perfect flipping action that Michael Bay is looking for, tossing two cars in the air at once. »
It's All Good Trailer: Learn How 3 Filmmakers Trolled Indiegogo
28 September 2016 2:43 PM, PDT
For more than two years, the guys at Fnd Films have been leading their fans to believe that they ran off with the $78 thousand they raised with an Indiegogo campaign to make a movie. The joke is over now, as the Fnd guys have just released the first trailer for their movie It's All Good; an action hiest comedy about three guys who run a fraudulent crowdfunding campaign and spend all of the money. The idea is very meta and while they definitely upset a lot of their supporters in the process, they have delivered on their promise to make their movie.
A little more than two weeks ago, after near total and complete silence for two years, the guys released an apology video to their YouTube channel, saying that the movie they promised could no longer be made. Naturally, their fans were quite upset, but it was all part of the elaborate ruse. »
