Full 'Godzilla' Muto Monster Revealed!

That loud roar you heard this afternoon wasn't Godzilla. It was the crowd reacting to the WonderCon footage that was shown during a rather sleepy Warner Bros. panel at the convention center in Anaheim. But before we get to that, a brand new TV spot debuted on NBC as well, which is not yet available online. Someone did, however, manage to snap a photo of the Muto monster as it will be seen in the film. Check out this full-body shot as we impatiently await this latest footage.

As for Godzilla's appearance at WonderCon, it literally brought the house down. While no stars were on hand, director Gareth Edwards saved the day by introducing what is referred to as the 'Tsunami' clip.

This sneak peek opened with Aaron Taylor-Johnson comforting a scared child on a subway car that has lost power. The awesome, in-your-face scene slowly builds, as a »

Bryan Singer Drops Out of All Press for 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'

19 April 2014 8:40 AM, PDT

In light of recent allegations in a widely publicized sexual abuse case against the director, Bryan Singer has dropped out of all press for X-Men: Days of Future Past. He also pulled out of a scheduled appearance at this weekend's WonderCon in Anaheim, where he was excited to promote the latest film in the long-standing Fox franchise.

Bryan Singer was accused this week of using drugs and alcohol to force a teenage boy to have sex with him in a case that stretches back to 1999. The director denies any wrongdoing, as his lawyer Martin Singer (no relation) claims the case is 'completely fabricated'.

Accuser Michael Egan claims the abuse took place in Hawaii during August and October of 1999. Bryan Singer himself claims to have an alibi, saying he was in Toronto at that time working on the first X-Men movie. He will soon file credit card bills and various other »

Patrick Stewart Teases His Return as Professor X in 'X-Men: Apocalypse'

19 April 2014 8:24 AM, PDT

We already know that X-Men: Apocalypse will focus primarily on the X-Men: First Class cast of characters, but that doesn't mean some of the old guard can't show up. Its likely that Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine, even if its just a cameo. Now, 73-year-old Patrick Stewart is throwing his hat in the ring as well, teasing that he may be back as Professor X (aka Charles Xavier).

"I don't see why not. That is one of the blessings about fantasy and science fiction. You're never really dead. I would love to come back and do some more."

While James McAvoy is expected to do all the heavy lifting as Charles Xavier in X-Men: Apocalypse, don't be so sure that Patrick Stewart has been regulated to cameo status for the remainder of this franchise. While nothing official has been announced yet, could it be possible that the original trilogy »

Fox Has No Plans for an 'X-Men' / 'Fantastic Four' Crossover

18 April 2014 6:22 PM, PDT

When 20th Century Fox announced in 2012 that Mark Millar had signed to consult on and develop their Marvel properties such as The Fantastic Four reboot and their X-Men franchise, many hoped that would lead to a shared universe involving these characters crossing over. A "well-placed source" for Schmoes Know reveals that the studio has no plans of merging The Fantastic Four and X-Men characters.

The unidentified source claims that the studio really wants director Josh Trank's The Fantastic Four reboot, which stars Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, Miles Teller as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as Sue Storm/The Invisible Girl and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing, to stand on its own, without any help from the X-Men mutants.

The hope is that The Fantastic Four will do well enough to warrant multiple sequels. Of course, if the movie and its follow-ups do well, »

Hollywood Sex Abuse Documentary May Include 'X-Men' Director

18 April 2014 5:57 PM, PDT

Earlier this week, The Wrap reported that a federal lawsuit has been filed that accuses X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy named Michael Egan in 1999. Today, it has been confirmed that Michael Egan is also working with filmmaker Amy Berg (West of Memphis, Deliver Us From Evil) on a new documentary about sexual abuse in Hollywood.

Amy Berg confirmed that she has been working on the project for the past two years, through her Disarming Films production company, but she wouldn't comment any further. The Daily Mail reports that the filmmaker seemed surprised that Michael Egan went public with the lawsuit against Bryan Singer, although it isn't known if Michael Egan has been interviewed on camera, or what his involvement in the documentary may be.

Here's what an unidentified source close to Michael Egan had to say in a statement.

Will a 'Spider-Man' / 'Avengers' Crossover Ever Happen?

18 April 2014 3:12 PM, PDT

Earlier this week, we reported that a scene from 20th Century Fox's X-Men: Days of Future Past will be attached as an end credits scene in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which got many fans excited for possible Marvel crossovers between Sony, 20th Century Fox and even Marvel Studios. It was later revealed that director Marc Webb is still under contract at 20th Century Fox, and the studio would only let him make the sequel if Sony promoted X-Men: Days of Future Past for free.

When asked about the possibility of Sony joining forces with Marvel Studios and 20th Century Fox, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 producer Avi Arad revealed that a cross-over will only happen when the studios have run out of other ideas, although that likely won't happen anytime soon.

"I think I'm probably a little bit of the militant here. I think it will take a moment in which we've run out of ideas. »

Zack Snyder Talks Marvel Vs. DC and the Reality of Superman

18 April 2014 2:53 PM, PDT

Earlier this month, a massive superhero showdown was set when Marvel Studios announced that Captain America 3 will open against Warner Bros.' highly-anticipated sequel Batman Vs. Superman on May 6, 2016. While a lot can happen in two years, neither Marvel nor Warner Bros. are budging from this date. During a recent interview with Forbes, Batman Vs. Superman director Zack Snyder dismissed any notion of a heated rivalry or feud between Marvel Studios and Warner Bros., revealing that he is a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"Look, I'm a fan of the Marvel movies... and the thing that's awesome is, we make a different movie. We have a different product than them, although they both exist in sort of the superhero world, which is great. I think that those are the opportunities. That's what you get at the movies, you get a chance to go to all these different worlds. And »
