Get your thumbs ready: Tetris is finally heading to the big screen sometime in the near future! Threshold Entertainment has teamed-up with the Tetris Company to develop an adaptation of the popular 80s video game.

No cast members or director have been set yet for Tetris, which will be a live-action take on the puzzle game. A story is in place, though it is unclear if a screenplay has been completed. Threshold CEO Larry Kasanoff describes the impending feature film:

"It's a very big, epic sci-fi movie. This isn't a movie with a bunch of lines running around the page. We're not giving feet to the geometric shapes. What you [will] see in Tetris is the teeny tip of an iceberg that has intergalactic significance."

Larry Kasanoff is best known for adapting the popular video game series Mortal Kombat for the big screen, starting with 1995's Mortal Kombat starring Christopher Lambert, »

Regal and Cinemark Refuse to Show 'Crouching Tiger 2' in IMAX

Yesterday, Netflix announced that Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend will be its first original movie, debuting on the streaming service August 28, 2015 alongside a theatrical IMAX release. Two theater chains have come out against this unconventional release window, with Regal and Cinemark refusing to bring the Weinstein Company production onto their IMAX screens.

The release of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend up-ends traditional release platforms, and while its a revolutionary movie, Netflix, IMAX and the Weinstein Company are being targeted as the bad guys, and may find it hard to secure any screens in the United States. Regal and Cinemark state that they flat-out refuse to screen any film that has a day-and-date theatrical and VOD release.

Regal spokesman Russ Nunley explains that he is committed to exhibiting movies on a grand scale:

"While a home video release may be simultaneously performing in certain IMAX locations, »

The series centers on a group of rabid fans who find a manuscript for the novel's sequel, as they are being pursued by an organization known as "The Network".

Tom Berenger Talks 'Sniper: Legacy' | Exclusive

21 years after Tom Berenger first played U.S. Marine marksman Thomas Beckett in the 1993 action-thriller Sniper, Beckett's legacy lives on in Sony Pictures' Sniper: Legacy. After the original film hit theaters in 1993, Tom Berenger returned as Beckett in two straight-to-video sequels, but in 2011, the franchise was revived with Sniper: Reloaded, which starred Chad Michael Collins as Thomas' son Brandon Beckett. This estranged father-son duo come face-to-face in Sniper: Legacy, available on DVD September 30, as they must work together to take out a rogue shooter who has been taking out high-ranking military leaders.

I recently had the chance to speak with Tom Berenger over the phone, where he offered a sneak peek into the production process, explaining how the original script's ending may have ended this franchise before it even started, the possibility of a new Major League movie, and much more. Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast' Lands 'Wallflower' Writer

Disney is continuing the trend of turning it's most iconic animated fairy tales into live-action adventures, and after adapting a number of original classics it goes after one of it's more recent movies. Though more than 20 years old, 1991's Beauty and the Beast help redefine what Disney animation could be, and it is now getting retold with human actors, courtesy of a screenplay by Stephen Chbosky.

Stephen Chbosky is best know for penning The Perks of Being a Wallflower screenplay, adapted from his own novel of the same name. It's because of him that Emma Watson may actually sign on for the lead in this take on the tale to be directed by The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 director Bill Condon.

At this time, Emma Watson is not officially signed on. She is still loosely attached to Warner Bros. »

How Much Did 'Dark Knight Returns' Influence 'Batman v Superman?'

Though it was greatly rumored before Comic-Con 2014 that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was going to be partially based on Frank Miller' seminal work The Dark Knight Returns, everyone agrees that the footage shown in San Diego was heavily influenced by this iconic work.

Star of the movie Ben Affleck has been making the press rounds in support of Gone Girl, and he's dropped a few hints about the movie along the way. Talking with MTV, he addresses the Frank Miller inspiration apparent in the film.

Ben Affleck doesn't think Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is the only movie to be affected or influenced by Frank Miller's work. He believes that all of the movies that have come in its wake have, in some way, played off those aspects apparent in The Dark Knight Returns.

Before answering the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice question, though, »
