'Bourne 5' Shoots Next Week, Set in Post-Snowden World

Though the last movie in the franchise, The Bourne Legacy, debuted in 2012, we haven't seen Matt Damon as Jason Bourne in eight years, since he last played the character in 2007's The Bourne Ultimatum. And when Bourne 5 hits theaters in July of 2016, almost a full decade will have gone by. That's a lot of time, and a lot has changed in the world. Especially when it comes to civil liberties and democracy. In a new interview, Matt Damon confirms that these themes will be at the forefront of the new story his team is setting out to tell.

No real plot details have been released for Bourne 5. Though, the main cast is starting to come together, with newcomers Tommy Lee Jones and Alicia Vikander joining the sequel earlier this year. And Julia Stiles is returning to reprise her role as Bourne ally Nicky Parsons from previous installments. Though, these previous »

'Big Bang Theory' Is Getting a 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Episode

Leonard and Sheldon will be awakened by the force! Yes, in true Big Bang Theory fashion, the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens will wreck havoc on the lives of Dr. Cooper and Dr. Hofstadter in a big way. The show has always been Star Wars obsessed, and this fall, they're taking it up a notch. The Big Bang Theory Season 9 will have an episode that completely revolves around the release of the first Star Wars in ten years. Executive producer Steve Molaro had this to say to TVLine.

"We're talking about how that will be weaved into [the guys']&#160lives. And we have some really cool ideas."

Sheldon, Leonard, Howard and Raj have all been obsessed with the Star Wars franchise since the show first premiered way back in 2007. There are numerous references littered throughout the episodes, and you can find plenty of Star Wars memorabilia throughout the set. The »

Universal Pictures 2015 Fall Movie Preview with New Photos

Universal Pictures is having a banner year. They set some pretty big industry records, wrecking the box office with their franchise sequels and one very sly biopic that no one saw coming. Now, they are ready to unleash their fall and holiday slate, which runs from September to November. They're going to tap out early, with nothing set for release in December. That's okay. They've already done better than any other studio in 2015. They could take the rest of the year off, and it still wouldn't matter.

But they're not going to do that. Traditionally, fall movies are all about Oscar. It's the awards season, and most studios are ready to flaunt their drama-heavy fare. Universal is taking a slightly different approach. While they have a few Academy Award contenders coming our way over the course of the next three months, they seem more interested in keeping the big blockbuster train moving. »

'It Follows' Director Responds to Tarantino Criticism

Earlier this week, director Quentin Tarantino spoke with Vulture about his highly-anticipated new Western The Hateful Eight. As he is often prone to do, the filmmaker also spoke about a number of other topics regarding various aspects of cinema. Tarantino seemed to give praise to the indie horror movie hit It Follows. The director's comments did not fall on deaf ears, with David Robert Mitchell offering a retort earlier today. But, before we get to that, here's what Quentin Tarantino had to say about the film, before offering a much lengthier discussion.

"It was the best premise I've seen in a horror film in a long, long, long time. It's one of those movies that's so good you get mad at it for not being great."

When asked how he would have "fixed" It Follows, turning it from good to great, Quentin Tarantino launched into a lengthy diatribe about the mythology of the film. »

'Game of Thrones' Season 6: Will Stannis Return?

For the first time since Game of Thrones debuted on HBO in 2010, those who read the original books by George R.R. Martin and those who have only enjoyed the TV series are on the same playing field. Season 5 brought us to the end of George R.R. Martin's last novel, A Dance With Dragons, and now no one knows what to expect when Game of Thrones Season 6 debuts next year. Yesterday, George R.R. Martin responded to a fan on his LiveJournal page, who asked whether or not Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) was really dead, after his apparent murder at the hands of Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) in the Season 5 finale. Here's what the author had to say about Stannis' fate.

"In my books? Alive, beyond a doubt."

Now, that doesn't necessarily mean that Stannis will be back in Season 6, since the show has often deviated from the Game of Thrones books. »

'Star Wars Battlefront' Art Teases the Battle of Jakku

The marooned Star Destroyer half buried in sand was one of the most extraordinary images from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Until then, the vessel had only been seen gliding above planets, a razor sharp juggernaut that specialized in overpowering inferior ships. Now, Electronic Arts is providing a first look at the battle which took place after one crashed-landed on a desert planet following the Rebels' victory at Endor. This image from the Battle of Jakku is the first of two pieces of promo art from the upcoming video game Star Wars Battlefront, arriving on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 17.

The Battle of Jakku will be one of several locations featured in Star Wars Battlefront, and the images below show that the conflict which once engulfed the galaxy remains alive and well. From the smoldering wreckage of the fallen giant to the X-wing being used as cover »

Ridley Scott Confirms 'Prometheus 2' Is His Next Movie

Ridley Scott is busier than ever, and there has been some speculation as to whether or not he would revisit the world of Blade Runner or Alien first. As suspected, the prolific filmmaker has confirmed that Prometheus 2, a sequel to his 2012 Alien prequel Prometheus, will be his next movie as a director. He has The Martian coming out this October, but as soon as it was wrapped, he didn't hesitate to jump into preproduction on this upcoming sci-fi thriller.

Prometheus originated as a prologue to the action seen in Ridley Scott's 1979 horror classic Alien. But the movie morphed into something much greater than a mere prequel, becoming its own thing and igniting a new franchise for 20th Century Fox. It took some pretty complicated ideas head-on and in turn tore audiences in two. Some longtime fans loved it, others hated it, but there is no denying it is interesting. »
