Twisted Cult of Chucky Preview Breathes New Life Into the Killer Doll

One of horror's most enduring franchises is making a return this Halloween season. Chucky, the blood-thirsty Good Guy doll that has been out for blood for nearly 30 years, is set to return in Cult of Chucky. The movie is going to arrive on Blu-ray/DVD and digital on October 3 and now Universal has released four new clips that promise a twisted return to the Child's Play series.

The clips come to us courtesy of Bloody Disgusting and, just in case you're really excited about seeing Cult of Chucky, don't worry; there are no spoilers. These clips do, however, give us a very good idea of what to expect in terms of tone and what the asylum setting is going to do for the movie. It's very clear that this entry is going to really get us away from the super corny entries such as Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky. »

Star Wars: The Last Jedi Is Finished

Is it time for dancing in the streets? Perhaps. While there are natural disasters destroying the world from every corner, we can at least rest easy knowing that Star Wars: The Last Jedi is locked and ready to roll. Director Rian Johnson confirmed that he'd finished all post production work after being asked on Twitter. His short and sweet response in letting everyone know that Star Wars 8 is complete?

"Allllll done."

Yah! That's great news, and it means the December 15 release date is staying firmly in place. Not that there ever was any worry that it would be delayed or changed. Johnson said a few months ago that his team was ahead of schedule. And that appears to be true. Rian Johnson is enthusiastic, dare we even say, excited about what fans have in store. He first confirmed the sequel's completion on Instagram. He said this, which accompanied the image you can see below. »

Fantastic Fest Review: Thelma Is an Arthouse X-Men Movie

What would happen if you were a young person trying to find yourself and you suddenly discovered that you had strange and mysterious powers? That is the core of Thelma and even though it sounds like the premise of a modern Hollywood blockbuster or a comic book movie adaptation, it isn't. Far from it. Even though it does feel like an X-Men movie in some ways, this is a coming of age story that just so happens to also have literal superpowers involved.

In The Orchard Release Thelma, a shy young student named (you guessed it) Thelma (Eili Harboe) has just left her religious family in a small town on the west coast of Norway to study at a university in Oslo. While at the library one day, she experiences a violent, unexpected seizure. Soon after, she finds herself intensely drawn toward Anja, a beautiful young student who reciprocates Thelma's powerful attraction. »

"I had no scenes with Carrie but I did get to know her a little bit. She was an incredible human being with a wonderful personality and she's sadly, sadly missed and everyone who came into contact with her was really touched by her great energy and great sense of humor. »

Hall and his neighbor have gotten into some arguments in the past, but this was the first altercation that got physical, according to the neighbor.

AOL reports that the entire incident was caught on film via the gated community's security cameras and it features Anthony Michael Hall shoving his neighbor, apparently over a gate that was left open. The neighbor then fell and broke his wrist and also suffered a back injury as well. Hall's neighbor obtained a temporary restraining order against Hall after the incident, but did not seek a permanent injunction, according to court records. »

Is Wonder Woman a Villain in The Flash Movie?

The Flash movie has confirmed Wonder Woman as one of the main characters. But will she play a villain in Flashpoint this time around? The standalone Flash movie has had a rough take-off since it was officially announced back in 2014, losing two directors and going through many script revisions. It got to the point where Warner Bros. finally just scrapped the project all together. But that all changed at Comic-Con this past summer when it was formally announced that The Flash movie was still happening, but it was getting the Flashpoint treatment instead, which instantly became exciting for fans of The Flash.

It would be hard to tell the Flashpoint story effectively without Wonder Woman, so it makes sense that she will show up in some capacity. Wonder Woman is a main character in the storyline from the comics and it has just been assumed since the announcement was made »
