Ghostbusters 3 Is 'a Possibility' Admits Bill Murray

14 April 2012 1:35 PM, PDT

In late February, it seemed that Dan Aykroyd had thrown in the towel in terms of getting Bill Murray to return for Ghostbusters 3. He was quoted as saying that the actor would not return, and that was the final verdict.

"At this point it's in suspended animation. The studio, the director Ivan Reitman and Harold Ramis feel there must be a way to do it, but Bill Murray will not do the movie."

Now, the great back-and-forth continues!

Bill Murray was on local Chicago news station Wgn yesterday, talking baseball at Cubs Park. He was asked about the ever-lingering sequel, and his definitive answer was not "No" as was expect. Instead, he offered a bit of hope.

"It's a possibility."

The comedy icon then went onto hype up his latest movie Moonrise Kingdom, calling it "really, really funny." Click on the interview, his comments about Ghostbusters 3 come at the 2:48 mark. »

The Muppets 2 to Be a Crime Caper in Homage to The Great Muppet Caper

14 April 2012 1:17 PM, PDT

The Muppets, which made over $160 million worldwide last November, brought some of Jim Henson's most popular characters back into the spotlight after a long hiatus from theater screens, and it was a big enough hit that Walt Disney Pictures wants a sequel.

In fact, they want a sequel as soon as the summer of 2013, but writer Nick Stoller, who wrote the original with Jason Segel, doesn't think that's a possibility for The Muppets 2.

"They want to do it. They want it as soon as possible, which is good. I'm not sure exactly when they want to release it. I think it was something like next summer. I don't think that's realistic in terms of getting it all together in time. But to want to do it so quickly is great. It certainly makes us want to write it quickly. I'm writing with James Bobin. I recently had the chance to speak with actress Maggie Grace, who was promoting the sci-fi action thriller Lockout, arriving in theaters April 13. She reprises her role as Kim in Taken 2, the follow-up to 2009's surprise action hit Taken. This time around, instead of Kim being kidnapped, her father Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) is taken hostage with his wife, while on vacation in Istanbul. I asked the actress if this role reversal meant she would have to take action to save her father. Take a look at what she had to say.
