New Teaser Poster for Leprechaun: Origins Brings Gold

It's time to do a little jig and celebrate the fact that the first official teaser one-sheet for Zach Lipovsky's 'Leprechaun: Origins' has been uncovered. Whether of not the franchise needs rebooting is a question that seems to have been answered positively by Lionsgate along with WWE Studios whom have teamed up to bring us this new look version which is said to be 'darker and a more traditional horror.' Warwick Davis ('Life's Too Short'), whom was fitted out in the fetching green attire for 6 of the previous installments, has been looked over this time around in favour of WWE's own Hornswoggle Dylan Postl. Brendan Fletcher, Teach Grant, Andrew Dunbar, Stephanie Bennett, Bruce Blain and Adam Boys also star. Check out the new poster below. »

With less than a year until the supposed release of a brand new 'Friday the 13th' movie you would think it was prudent to lock in your director!? Thankfully it seems this may now be the case as 'V/H/S' director David Bruckner looks to be the man to take on the job. The Wrap are reporting that Bruckner, the guy responsible for the 'Amateur Night' segment in 2012's horror anthology 'V/H/S', is being tapped to fill the void for the new 'Friday the 13th' feature. Although it's not yet clear as to how this new project will tie in to the franchise and whether it'll be remotely connected to that of Marcus Nispel's 2009 remake. Platinum Dunes will produce. »

Scarlett Johansson Discusses Under the Skin in Featurette

15 April 2014

Earlier this month Jonathan Glazer's new sci-fi thriller 'Under the Skin' arrived in Us theatres and took audiences on a wild ride filled with unusualness, artiness, visual metaphor and with little Kubrikesque touches all along the way. And not forgetting an impressive turn out from the sexy Scarlett Johansson ('The Avengers') who certainly gives her all, including some full frontal nudity, in her performance. If you haven't yet seen the movie then perhaps this little featurette that includes interview excerpts with Johansson, director Glazer and producer James Wilson as well as plenty of footage from the project will help entice you further. But if the promise of Johansson flesh didn't already get yout attention then we don't know what will. Check out the featurette below. »

The Vampire Diaries Star Nina Dobrev Joins The Final Girls

14 April 2014

Sexy star of 'The Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev (below) is the latest actress to sign on for Todd Strauss-Schulson's ('A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas') new horror comedy 'The Final Girls'. The 25 year old has signed on to Groundswell Productions' latest offering and is set to play the former friend of Taissa Farmiga's ('American Horror Story') character. Farmiga finds herself trapped inside a horror film in which her now dead mother (played by the hot Malin Akerman ('Watchmen')) starred in during the 1980's. So there's plenty of scope there for genre in-jokes, references and hopefully a whole lot of horror. Sony Pictures will be distributing the feature which begins shooting this month in Louisiana. »
