The Conjuring Conjures up a Creepy New Trailer and Teaser Poster

Warner Bros have conjured up a mighty impressive first look teaser trailer and retro teaser poster for James Wan's latest horror venture 'The Conjuring'. The new trailer and poster features actress Lili Taylor petrified to her very soul by a playful poltergeist. The movie is based on the true life case files of the Warrens, a husband and wife team of paranormal investigators from the 1950's.Patrick Wilson ('Insidious') and Vera Farmiga ('Bates Motel') star as the investigative couple whilst Ron Livingston ('Office Space'), Lili Taylor, Mackenzie Foy ('The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1'), Joey King, Hayley McFarland, Kyla Deaver and Shanley Caswell ('Detention') are amongst the co-stars. Check out the new goodies below and let's hope the rest of the movie can live up to the expectations we've come to love about movies from the filmmaker. »

Tom Mison Loses His Head as He Picks up Sleepy Hollow Lead Role

British actors being cast into leading roles in Us TV dramas is nothing new but it's happened again as 'Salmon Fishing in the Yemen' actor Tom Mison nabs the role of Ichabod Crane in Fox's new 'Sleepy Hollow' series. The supernatural themed show will see Crane, as a Revolutionary War captain, whom lops off the horseman's head then for some reason is transported to modern day where he solves bizarre goings on in the Hollow where the headless one returns to haunt the locals. Mison (below) stars alongside Orlando Jones ('Evolution'), hottie Katia Winter ('Dexter') and Nicole Baharie. The series penned by Alex Kurtzman ('Fringe') and Roberto Orci ('Star Trek') will see 'Underworld' helmer Len Wiseman take on the pilot. »

Kathy Bates Heading for the Third Season of American Horror Story

If you're into twisted horror TV tales with genre bending ideas then you'll be pleased that FX's most unique show going, 'American Horror Story', will be returning for its third effort this October. The third season will see another 13 episode run from creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk although the story arc, title and characters are still yet to be revealed. But we do know that 'Misery' and 'Titanic' star Kathy Bates (below) will be one of the names joining the cast. Bates is set to play a friend to the character of the returning Jessica Lange although she soon turns out to actually be her nemesis. Along with Lange, Evan Peters, Frances Conroy, Taissa Farmiga, Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe will all return once again each playing brand new roles. »

Elijah Woods Spys on the Sexy Sasha Grey on New Open Windows Poster

Elijah Wood is becoming a bit of a genre hero. In spite of looking like Daniel Radcliffe's older brother the still youthful star is certainly shaking off his good guy image for roles in the Franck Khalfoun 'Maniac' redo and now starring in Nacho Vigalondo's ('Timecrimes') new techno-thriller 'Open Windows'. A new one-sheet has arrived for the latter featuring the actor along with ex-porn star Sasha Grey who would be a welcome sight on any smart phone. The flick is still currrently shooting with Nacho at the helm and the project co-stars 'Kill List' and 'Utopia' actor Neil Maskell. It's a project that will twist the usual format of a movie and will be entirely shot in a way that represents how Wood's character views all the action from his desktop. Laura Ramsey and Co Head West for NBCs The Sixth Gun

Carlton Cuse will be producing a new supernatural Western show for NBC and a bunch of newbies have hopped aboard the Jeffrey Reiner helmed pilot. 'The Sixth Gun', based on the comic book series created by Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt, tells the tale of a farmer's daughter named Becky Montcrief who gets mixed up in a whole bunch of craziness when she comes across a powerful supernatual gun and then finds herself up against some evil 'dark forces'. W. Earl Brown ('Scream'), Graham McTavish and Aldis Hodge have all signed up for various roles but its the gorgeous Laura Ramsey -below ('No One Lives') who has scored the lead role. Ramsey, who'll next be seen in Owen Wilson and Zach Galifianakis comedy 'You Are Here'. The pilot will be directed by Jeffrey Reiner from a script by Ryan Condal. »

French Star Juliette Binoche Circling a Monster Godzilla Role

Another name hopefully being hurled onto the 'Godzilla' want list is that of French Oscar-winning actress Juliette Binoche -below ('Cosmopolis'). The 48-year old star is in talks with producers to join Gareth Edwards new vision of the classic Japanese monster movie. Production is set to being next month for a targeted May 2014 release with 'Kick-Ass' star Aaron Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen ('Silent House') and Bryan Cranston ('Argo', 'Breaking Bad') already on board. The project is being touted as a more realistic based vision of the classic tale and will be presented by Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures. Binoche picked up a Best Supporting Actress Oscar back in 1997 for Anthony Minghella's wartime love story 'The English Patient'. »

Chloe Gets Blood Soaked Through in Another Carrie Image

Another sticky red fresh image of young Chloe Moretz ('Dark Shadows') splattered from head to toe in pig's blood has emerged from the upcoming 'Carrie' production. The remake due for release this October comes under the watchful eye of director Kimberly Peirce who helms from a script penned by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. The remake of course is based on the novel by Stephen King and already has the unenviable challenge of bettering Brian De Palma's effort from 1976. Julianne Moore ('Hannibal'), Portia Doubleday ('Youth in Revolt'), Alex Russell ('Chronicle'), Ansel Elgort, Judy Greer ('The Village') and Brit stunner Gabriella Wilde all co-star. Greg and Mick Head Back to the Outback in Wolf Creek 2 Still

No one tells outback maniac Mick Taylor what to do, unless of course you happen to be Greg Mclean! The Aussie duo are back together as star and director respectively in slasher sequel 'Wolf Creek 2'. Production has begun on the follow-up and in this new behind the scenes shot courtesy of The Age, which you can check out below, we get our first peek at big Mick cosying up with his director. 'I'm not really interested in gore and blood and stuff,' Mclean tells the Australian site. 'I'm interested in why the character [Mick Taylor] connected with Australian audiences. It's not about being a horror film - it's because Mick is about something else, something deep and dark in the Australian psyche.' »

James McAvoy to Swap Professor X for Lead Role in The Crow Remake

The project which at one point saw 'Silver Linings Playbook' star Bradley Cooper poised to lead and that has been creeping around for some time now is the planned reboot of 'The Crow'. Originally adapted for the big screen back in 1994 and directed by Alex Proyas the new project is set to see Spanish helmer F. Javier Gutierrez in the director's chair and according to Bloody Disgusting may very well be starring 'X-Men: First Class' actor James McAvoy (below) in the lead role as Eric Draven. 'The Crow' is based on the comic book series by James O'Barr and will is in development currently by Relativity. Brandon Lee portrayed Draven in the original even though the actor was killed during an on set accident. »

What flesh flavoured feast has Mads Mikkelsen ('Casino Royale') polished off in the new promo poster for NBC's upcoming 'Hannibal' series? The new teaser has arrived along with a whole host of very standard character posters. The performers poised in character stance featured below are that of Hugh Dancy as Special Agent Will Graham, Laurence Fishburne as Agent Jack Crawford, Scott Thompson as Jimmy Price, Aaron Abrams as Brian Zeller, Hettienne Park as Beverly Katz and Caroline Dhavernas as Dr. Alana Bloom. More Cabin Fever Unleashed in Batch of New Evil Dead Stills

A number of new pics and captures have been smattered online from the upcoming gruesome thrill ride redo 'Evil Dead'. With Fede Alvarez lensing and a capable round up of young talent including Jane Levy ('Suburgatory'), Shiloh Fernandez ('Red Riding Hood'), Jessica Lucas ('Cloverfield'), Lou Taylor Pucci ('Carriers') and Elizabeth Blackmore in front of the camera. There's a lot expected of it from looking at the teasers and trailers to date and especially as Sam Raimi, Bob Tapert and Bruce Campbell, the legends behind the original version of 'The Evil Dead' from way back in 1981, are still behind the scenes in a producing capacity. It arrives this April and the new selection of pics (shown below) come courtesy of Sony, Horror-Infos.com and Empire. »
