Overseas Box Office: 'Dark Shadows' Draws $36.7M

While "The Avengers" was wracking up $95.4 million overseas on its way to cracking the $1 billion worldwide box office gross mark, "Dark Shadows" was doing Ok for itself in foreign territories. CBS Orders Sherlock Holmes Drama to Series, Plus 3 More Dramas, 2 Comedies, and Reality Show

CBS has ordered four new drama series, including the Sherlock Holmes update "Elementary," as well as two new comedies and a reality show from Mark Burnett. Indie Box Office: 'Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' Expansion Clicks

Fox Searchlight pulled off a counter-programming coup over the weekend. While "The Avengers" was breaking box-office records, superhero-free "Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" slipped into the top ten films in the U.S., taking in $2.6 million from 178 screens in its second week. CBS Cancels 'CSI: Miami,' 'Rob,' 'Unforgettable,' 'A Gifted Man'

Will 'Community' Creator Dan Harmon Stay On as Showrunner? NBC Chief Unsure

NBC entertainment president Bob Greenblatt said Sunday he doesn't know whether "Community" creator Dan Harmon will return as showrunner for the comedy's fourth season. The network announced Sunday that the series will move from Thursdays to Fridays. 'The Voice' Returning in Fall for First Time, Paired with J.J. Abrams' 'Revolution'

Box-office champ "The Avengers" burnished its blockbuster bona fides on Friday, running up another $29.1 million.
