The Originals at Comic-Con: Daniel Gillies Talks Elijah & Hayley, Flashbacks & Crossovers in Season 3

The Originals has always been a show about family, and it was very much all about the Mikaelson family in Season 2 of the CW vampire drama, with both Esther, Mikael, Kol, and Finn returning, Freya being introduced, and the siblings’ Aunt Esther serving as the big bad. And while family will always be a major theme in The Originals, it will be explored in a little bit of a different way in the show’s upcoming third season, as the sired vampires of the originals (in many ways, the “children” of Klaus, Elijah, and Rebekah) arrive in New Orleans to seek power and vengeance, something that may force Elijah and Klaus to have to put aside their differences again and fight together. However, this will not be a happy or simple union, as The OriginalsDaniel Gillies told us earlier this month at San Diego Comic-Con, especially after everything that… »

Agents of Shield Season 3: UnREAL’s Constance Zimmer to Recur as New Antagonist

The Agents of Shield team may have thought that they faced their biggest threat yet when they went up against the Inhumans last season, but all the powered people in the world have got nothing on UnREAL‘s Quinn King. And while the character from the critically acclaimed Lifetime series won’t be joining the ABC/Marvel drama, the actress who plays her, Constance Zimmer, will be. As first reported by EW.com, Zimmer has landed a major recurring role in Agents of Shield Season 3, and from her character’s description, it sure sounds like she’s going to be more of a foe than a friend. Per EW.com, Zimmer will play “the head of a mysterious new government agency that will cross paths with Shield as both seek out new Inhumans following the events of last season. Zimmer’s character will go toe-to-toe with Coulson (Clark Gregg) and »

Once Upon a Time at Comic-Con: Sean Maguire & Rebecca Mader Discuss Robin Hood & Zelena in Season 5

One of the biggest twists that occurred in Once Upon a Time‘s fourth season was the reveal that Zelena (Rebecca Mader), the Wicked Witch, was not only alive but posing as Robin Hood’s (Sean Maguire) wife, Marian. And then, to top that twist, was an even crazier one: Zelena was pregnant with Robin’s child, meaning that no harm could be done to her, no matter how much he and Regina (Lana Parilla) wanted to seek retribution for all the pain and trouble she had caused them. Fortunately, though, according to Maguire, who, along with Mader, has been promoted to a series regular for Season 5 of Once Upon a Time, it sounds like there won’t be too many obstacles thrown Robin and Regina’s way at the start of the new season. “I think Robin and Regina have already been through so much,” Maguire said, when we spoke with him at… »

The Mindy Project Season 4: The Big Bang Theory’s Kunal Nayyar to Play Mindy’s Potential Husband

Could Mindy Lahiri be getting married to someone other than Danny Castellano this season on The Mindy Project? That looks to be the case, if Mindy’s parents have anything to say about it. As first reported by TVInsider, The Big Bang Theory‘s Kunal Nayyar will guest star in Season 4 of The Mindy Project as a potential husband for the hopelessly romantic doctor. However, a possible relationship with Nayyar’s character definitely doesn’t sound like the type of love story that Mindy wants. But when Danny (Chris Messina) catches wind of this plan, he feels threatened and does everything he can to stop the deal. Between Mindy’s imagining of a life where she and Danny »

29 July 2015 9:35 AM, PDT

The 100 fans still have a long wait until Season 3 of the post-apocalyptic series premieres on The CW, but that doesn’t mean that the flood of news on the upcoming season is slowing down at all. The latest bit of info is that singer Shawn Mendes, most famous for his hit song “Stitches” and just coming off playing on Taylor Swift’s huge 1989 tour, will be guest starring in the Season 3 premiere. The casting news was first reported by E! Online. In the Season 3 premiere, Mendes will play “a scrappy young Ark survivor,” whose name may or may not be Macallan, as evidenced by the photo above from the singer’s Instagram. Whatever his name is, though, Mendes’ character on The 100 “gets into a tricky situation and uses his particular talents to get out of it.” Could those “particular talents” mean his singing ability? It sure sounds like it,…

Bloodline Season 2: Ben Mendelsohn Returning as Series Regular

29 July 2015 9:07 AM, PDT

While opinions on how great Netflix’s dark family drama Bloodline may vary, one thing that all viewers and critics can agree on is that Ben Mendelsohn was absolutely terrific as Danny Rayburn, the eldest of the four Rayburn children and black sheep of the family, who returns home after being away for years and begins causing trouble as soon as arrives back in the Keys. In fact, Mendelsohn’s performance was so sensational that it earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Unfortunately for fans of the show and the actor, it appeared that Mendelsohn’s time on Bloodline would be done after its first season, due to the fact that (Spoiler Alert) Danny’s brother John (Kyle Chandler) kills him in the penultimate episode of Season 1. However, that no longer seems to be the case, as the show’s executive producer Glenn Kessler »
