San Diego Comic-Con: Once Upon A Time Exec’s Tease Upcoming Season 6 Stories
1 hour ago
At San Diego Comic Con, I had the opportunity to speak with several members of the cast and crew of my favorite shows. In the press room for Once Upon A Time, I was able to speak with series Executive Producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz about what’s coming up for the show in Season 6. First, Kitsis gave us a litlte preview about what to expect from the flashbacks this season. “Episode 2 we’re going to see Count of Monte Cristo. It will have a tie-in to our beloved characters in the Enchanted Forest.” Kitsis also added, “You can’t introduce Jekyll and Hyde and

San Diego Comic-Con: The 100 Stars Eliza Taylor & Christopher Larkin Talk Consequences, Relationships, Season 4
2 hours ago
At San Diego Comic-Con, I had the chance to sit down with some of the cast and crew of my favorite shows. At the press room for The 100, I spoke with Eliza Taylor (Clarke Griffin) and Christopher Larkin (Monty Green) about what’s coming up for their characters in Season 4, and their hopes for the future of their show. This was one of my more memorable interviews. For one, Eliza and Christopher interviewed each other for a little bit. Two, I was sitting so close that I made a guest appearance on writer Kim Shumway’s tweet. Yeah, that’s me next to

San Diego Comic-Con: The 100 Star Marie Avgeropoulos Talks Octavia Becoming An “Assassin”, Previews Season 4
6 hours ago
At San Diego Comic-Con, I was able to speak with the casts and crew of some of my favorite shows. In the press room for The CW’s The 100, I was able to speak with series star Marie Avgeropoulos (Octavia Blake), who told us what to expect next for Octavia and the show. Obviously, Octavia was at one of the central conflicts of Season 3, and suffered one of the most devastating losses of any character as (spoiler alert) Lincoln was executed in front of her. “This was a really hard season for Octavia,” Avgeropoulos told us. Losing Lincoln was especially tough,

Scream Review: The Stage Gets Set for the Finale in “Heavenly Creatures”
With only two episodes left this season on Scream, it’s time for some answers. Let’s take a look at the latest fresh hell to grip Lakewood in this week’s new episode, “Heavenly Creatures.” The episode opens with the killer breaking into Emma’s home in the middle of the night, brandishing a knife. We’ve known all season that this has been happening, but this is the fist time we actually witness it, and, speaking as someone whose biggest fear is home invasion, it’s done in an absolutely terrifying way. The killer bolts, but not before leaving a necklace on the doorknob for Emma. Tensions

Comic-Con 2016: Wilmer Valderrama on Joining NCIS
12 hours ago
CBS’ #1 drama is entering its 14th season in a very big way. There was much speculation about how the hit drama NCIS would recalibrate following the exit of Michael Weatherly, who starred as Special Agent Tony Dinozzo for 13 years. The show did not choose a replacement, but instead found a way to enter a new phase in the show’s development with the addition of Wilmer Valderrama as NCIS Special Agent Nick Torres. Last month at Comic-Con Valderrama previewed his new role, including the distinct shift from any other role he’s had, and what this represents for minorities in

Supergirl & The Flash Musical Crossover Is Happening

While we know that there is going to be a huge 4-show crossover this fall between The Flash, Supergirl, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow, that isn’t the only big crossover that is happening this season on these shows. During the Superhero Hour at The CW’s Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour, producer Greg Berlanti revealed that there is going to be a musical crossover between the Scarlet Speedster and the Girl of Steel in the second half of their respective seasons in 2017. Berlanti teased during the panel to TV Insider, one of the outlets that was there, that there is

Hollywood: Women in Movies From Past to Present
11 August 2016 1:02 PM, PDT
For years, we have seen women in films portrayed as a supporting character. From devoted wives to hardworking husbands to sexually attractive Femme Fatales. Though movies like Pride and Prejudice, The Devil Wears Prada and The Intern portray strong female characters, it’s not enough. Take the recent Ghostbusters reboot, for example. It has an all-female cast, replacing the original cast of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Rick Moranis. Some say it’s a refreshing tribute to the original film while others disagree. Die hard fans say the film is abysmal (to an extent) compared to the original regarding character interaction

General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Deals with Backlash
11 August 2016 9:50 AM, PDT
Things are not looking good for Ava on General Hospital. We all know she left town to get away from Julian and his personal issues, and she did the right thing in doing that. However, she’s back now and it looks like things are not going well for her. For one, we know that she’s convinced Morgan to let Kiki go. He told her that he loves Kiki so much, though, and we aren’t sure that Ava’s help did too much to help Kiki in the long run so much as it helped her right now. We know that Sonny

Another trip down memory lane reveals some of Mr. Robot’s sophomore struggles
10 August 2016 9:33 PM, PDT
Another week, another journey down the rabbit hole of Elliot Alderson’s mind into the past in this week’s Mr. Robot, in what’s becoming a bit of an established formula for the season to this point. Like most episodes of this season so far, “eps2.4m4ster-s1ave.aes” spends most of its running time weaving in and out of Mr. Robot‘s reality, opening with arguably the show’s flashiest, twisted sequence to date. Yet, the more time we spend in Elliot’s head, means less time for the rest of its world to develop; and it’s there where “eps2.4m4ster-s1ave.aes” starts to show some of the fraying edges of the show’s narrative.

‘Suicide Squad’ Sets More Box Office Records, Beats ‘Civil War’
10 August 2016 12:20 PM, PDT
Stay evil, dollface. Despite the critical backlash, it seems like audiences are choosing to speak with their wallets rather than their words. Suicide Squad, after a record-breaking August opening weekend, continues shattering box office records left and right. On Monday, the supervillain team-up brought in $13.1 million, beating Guardians of the Galaxy‘s 2014 total of $11.7 million for the best Monday take of an August release ever. As if this wasn’t enough, the film again set a record on Tuesday with a $14.27 million gross (up 9% from its Monday total). That not only sets the record for an August Tuesday (again beating Guardians

Black Manta Is the Villain in James Wan & Jason Momoa’s ‘Aquaman’
10 August 2016 11:52 AM, PDT
The Wrap is on a hot streak this week. After breaking the news yesterday about Warner Bros. entering active development on a sequel to 2013’s Man of Steel, it’s being reported that the villain in 2018’s Aquaman solo-film will be Black Manta. In the comics, Black Manta is Aquaman’s most dangerous enemy, and his appearances since DC’s New 52 reboot a few years back have established him as a man with no superpowers that can still be ruthless and deadly. Also in the comics, the character spent some time in Belle Reve prison, which led to speculation (obviously proven false) that Common

My how the tables have turned on General Hospital. We never thought we would see the day when Alexis would ask Julian for help after all he did to her. He set her up to look like a murderer, and then she ended up getting him all alone and attacked him in an effort to save her own life, and now she is asking him for help. She’s got a problem, however, and it appears that he is the only person who can help her with it. With that in mind, it seems that she has to get to work

Director David Ayer: “There’s No R-Rated Cut of ‘Suicide Squad.'”
10 August 2016 9:08 AM, PDT
In spite of what many fans (and star Jared Leto) expected, Suicide Squad director David Ayer has confirmed, once and for all, that there is not now and never has been an R-rated cut of the supervillain team-up. Speaking with Empire Magazine, Ayer addressed the misconception that he wanted to make an R-rated DC film before having the studio water down his vision. “You could easily make this R-rated by having two F-bombs or someone smoke a cigarette. But that’s not what I think people mean when they ask for an R-rated version, so it was always meant to be a PG-13.

Aly Raisman Dominates the Floor Routine in Rio

Last night the USA women’s gymnastics team competed in the team all-around competition and took home the gold, but Aly Raisman’s floor routine is stealing the show and becoming the talk of the town. The 22 year old gold medalist whose teammates call her, “grandma,” helped carry the USA women’s team with a near perfect routine that earned her a score of 15.366. The announcers were blown away with Raisman and what she accomplished with one announcer even saying, “that was the best routine I’ve seen Aly Raisman do.” As soon as she completed the floor competition last night, her

‘Suicide Squad’ Originally Started in Belle Reve
10 August 2016 8:04 AM, PDT
Everyday, we learn a bit more about how Suicide Squad became the film that it did. I’ve written at length about how much I love the film and why, but it’s clear to even me that the film was originally supposed to be something else entirely. A lot of this has to do with the editing shifting things up for one reason or another, and director David Ayer spoke to Empire Magazine about how the earlier cuts differed from what we ended up getting. According to Ayer, the first script for the film began in Belle Reve, the prison that we find
