“Glass” Marks a 17 Year Later Sequel to the Movie “Unbreakable” from M. Night Shyamalan

I’m a huge fan of the movie Unbreakable.  I always felt it was an incredible homage to comic books but also just an extremely well done film.  It was after Unbreakable that we saw M. Night’s decline as a director.  Thankfully he came back in a big way this year with Split.  Personally I think if not for Split we wouldn’t even be having this conversation or announcement that we got today.  But given how big a hit Split was, I’m pretty sure this gives M. Night a free pass at another 5 or 6 films before people start getting

Photo of Harlem in 1976: This Might Be the Coolest Kid Ever

I’m not sure who you were going to the movies with in 1976 but you’d be one lucky person if it was with this kid.  I wasn’t alive in 1976 so I have no clue what going to the theater was like.   But I do know a cool kid when I see one and this might be the coolest kid in the history of Harlem.  If you think that I think this because of the sunglasses you’d only be partially right.  From the looks of it the kid is sporting shell top Adidas sneakers. And you cannot mess with that

Facebook Suicides and Violence is Unavoidable from Something this Massive

The prevalence of acts of violence is becoming a larger problem on Facebook.  Not only have shootings surfaced in video feeds on Facebook but recently acts of suicide have too.  Most recently an Alabama man live-streamed his suicide on Facebook and that has law enforcement officials concerned others may take their lives this way unless the social media giant finds a way to stop or at least adequately monitor violence on its platform. “The long-term solution is going to be having better artificial intelligence tools to give context of what’s going on,” Mark Zuckerberg said. “That won’t be this year, but

Walking Dead Showrunner Scott Gimple Sheds Light on Season 8

Right now The Walking Dead is one of the few shows that could be in serious immediate limbo if the Writer’s Guild of America strikes.  However that hasn’t stopped cast members from posting images on social media or from the show itself giving details into season 8 which as of right now we have no clue when would begin.  In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Scott Gimple sat down and shed some light on season eight of The Walking Dead. “By virtue of the fact that the narrative has turned into one of pretty intense conflict, Gimple said. “It’s going

Is it Safe to Say this Airline Stuff Has Been Happening For Longer Than We Think?

Kima Hamilton is the latest name in what I’m now calling “The Airline Wars.”  Hamilton was in dire need to use the restroom and apparently because of this rushed state he was in, it led to him getting kicked off his Delta flight.    According to USA today In fellow passenger Krista Rosolino’s view, Hamilton’s removal from the April 18 flight was an outrage and so was everyone else’s forced exit from the plane when it returned to the gate in Atlanta. She took to social media to defend a man she didn’t know. The Delta Air Lines quick take on

Pokemon Clothing Line To Hit France, Belgium, And Luxembourg In May

In a move that screams “it was inevitable” The Pokemon Company is launching its own clothing line in Europe this May.  The media giant has entered into a major collaboration with a French children’s fashion brand La Compagnie des Petits, which will see a dedicated fashion collection for girls and boys launched across all stores in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg in May of 2017.  The only question I have here is “what about adults?”  Did Pokemon forget that millions upon millions of adults are obsessed too? From what I’ve read, the summer collection for boys and girls comprises over 20 different

Lightning McQueen Returns in Cars 3 Trailer from Pixar

When the first teaser for Cars 3 came out audiences, including myself, were a little nervous.  I mean I completely understand comic book films adopting a darker tone but I never thought that Cars 3 would use the “death and destruction” angle.   And no, I’m not saying it was literally all about that but it sure as hell seemed grim don’t you think?  Thankfully the latest trailer for Cars 3 gives us some hope that the movie will be a little more fun and uplifting than previously anticipated.   According to Looper The trailer begins when Owen Wilson’s Lightning McQueen is

It’s Pretty Annoying that Scott Baio is Getting Any Attention At all Right Now

If Scott Baio was still acting and was a much bigger star than he is, I get it.  If he wasn’t one of the headliners of Trump’s Rnc event, I’d get that too.   But to see Scott Baio in the news at all is just really irritating at this point.  He already made a pretty big fool of himself with this whole Trump thing and now the death of Erin Moran is bringing Baio into the spotlight again?  Please.   First of all, I don’t even think his comments were bad at all.   Here are the comments he made that got

Guy Builds an 18-Hole White Sox-Themed Mini Golf Course in his Backyard

Thanks to a comment made on another website I run called “Moneyinc,” I now have the pleasure of being exposed to this video which is one of the more impressive backyard ideas I’ve ever seen.  User Steven K initially decided that he was going to build a 9 hole mini golf course in his backyard.  He did just that.  However, once people took notice of it, he decided to expand the course to have 18 holes of White Sox mini-golf action.   Here’s his full description of the video: Hope you don’t get dizzy watching this. I expanded my White Sox

Obscure Movie Lines I Love: “That’s Five” From the Movie “Top Gun”

There are tons of lines in movies that we love that were 100% intended for us to love.  The writers of the movie knew exactly what they were doing when they inserted said line into the script.  But there are other lines in movies that are simply regular lines that become amazing because of the way an actor said them.  It could have been an expression on their face or it could have simply been the actual tone of voice they used.  Whatever it was, you tend to remember these lines and joke about them with your friends. I decided

My Impression of that Comedian Doing His Impression of Nicolas Cage on Conan

I’ve decided to add yet another segment to this website.  It’s my “impressions” segment.  While I wouldn’t consider myself a great impressionist I do think that I can do a decent job of impersonating impersonators.   So from time to time I may very well decide to put up a video of myself either doing an impression of someone or I might re-enact a movie line that is somewhat obscure but that I like.  This week we’re going to start off light.   While it’s common knowledge that Simon Helberg does a pretty mean Nicolas Cage impression, many of us have seen

Jaleel White and Darius McCrary Tease Family Matters Reunion With Photo

I’m not sure if the tweet posted by Darius McCrary was a cry for help as in “I really need the work!” or it was just a fun inquiry posed to fans.  In my honest opinion I think it was a little bit of both.  Both he and Jaleel White took a picture together which McCrary tweeted out saying “How many of you would love to see a “Family Matters” Reunion?!”  I find the timing quite curious considering that Kobe Bryant recently did some Steve Urkel slam poetry. However, considering this is the age of reboots is a Family Matters

Scandal Sneak Peek: Tensions Rise Between Fitz and Rowan in “Mercy”

ABC has released a sneak peek for the upcoming episode entitled “Mercy.” In it we see Liv and Rowan having dinner, before Fitz coming in and interrupting. Rowan isn’t happy about being stuck in his room. He wants to leave, disappear. No one will find him in Zanzibar. After all, they didn’t find Liv there either. Rowan also calls taking on Peus and Mystery Woman a suicide mission. He just wants out. Some things that are worth noting in this sneak peek: When Fitz gives Liv a kiss, it looks a little forced. Liv definitely did not look happy with it.

Young and the Restless: Will Billy Choose Victoria or Phyllis?

Young and the Restless fans are seeing a lot of Billy this week. We’ve watched as he opened a letter from Chloe telling him that despite all her lies, he is not the father of little Bella. He’s said he’s happy about that, happy to be off the hook for raising this little girl and paying for her, but we suspect he’s not nearly as happy about that as he might pretend to be. We think he’s actually quite sad about the entire situation, but there is very little he can do about it at that point. That brings us

Great Uses of Songs in Movies: Stan Bush’s “On My Own” from the Movie “Bloodsport”

In what could only be described as an Oscar-winning caliber song and Oscar worthy acting performance, the movie Bloodsport gets my pick for our latest “Great uses of songs in movies” segment.  As we all know, Bloodsport is clearly one of the best martial arts movies of all-time.  Between that and Kickboxer, Jean Claude Van Damme solidified himself as “the man” when it came to action movies spearheaded by martial artists in the 80s. While he wasn’t quite at the level of a Sylvester Stallone or Arnold Schwarzenegger, you’d be hard pressed to find a more impressive portfolio of action

Bill Nye Proves Once Again Why He’s The Coolest

Bill Nye is a national treasure. The man made science cool for a generation of young adults. We loved his experiments, we loved the way he never talked down to kids, and let’s face it, we all memorized his theme song. The kids who once revered him grew up and had to explain to their kids what the fuss was about this guy. Mercifully, Bill Nye is back on Netflix with Bill Nye Saves The World. Thus far he is keeping to his word, but he just did something that proves why he’s the coolest. Not that we needed another

Oscar Winning Director Jonathan Demme Dies at the Age of 73

Jonathan Demme was hands down one of my favorite directors so it saddens me to report that he’s passed away at the age of 73 due to complications from Cancer.   Demme is best known for directing The Silence of the Lambs, the 1991 horror-thriller that was a box office smash and a critical triumph.   But it wasn’t just Silence of the Lambs that captured audiences.  He also directed Philadelphia and later did a phenomenal remake of the movie The Manchurian Canadian. Jonathan is the brother of another late directed Ted Demme who was also extremely talented.   Ted directed films like

The Bold and the Beautiful: Will Sally’s Sister Send her to Prison?

The Bold and the Beautiful is taking a turn for the worse for Sally. She knew what she was getting into when she decided to go forward with her grandmother’s plan to steal the designs from the Forresters, but we have a feeling she wasn’t entirely certain what it would do to her. She’s managed to lose the man she loves, she’s managed to make her grandmother mad by feeling bad about it, and she’s hurt her sister. She’s hurt everyone in the city, and they all hate her right now. Knowing how much her actions hurt the people in

Blooper Reels that Will Change the Way you See Horror Movies

A horror movie is meant to do one thing to audiences: frighten them.  Whether that’s to make them jump out of their seats because of a surprise moment or make them gag because of a scene that’s absolutely disgusting, the intent is the same: to scare.    But the funny thing about horror movies is that behind the scenes on these films, the same exact mistakes happen as any other film.  Actors mess up lines and cast and crew play pranks on each other just like any other movie. What you don’t see in horror movies is all the funny stuff

Bill Cosby and Doctors Confirm that He is Officially Blind

While Bill Cosby has absolutely nothing to say about his pending allegations against him, he did speak out about a different issue that is affecting his life: his vision.  In a new interview with Nnpa Newswire, the 79-year-old actor and comedian spoke publicly for the first time in years. However, while he did not address his impending trial for felony charges of aggravated indecent assault, he did confirm one bit of health news—he is blind.  As he recalled to the outlet, two years ago he was walking with his wife Camille Cosby when he suddenly could not see. Doctors confirmed
