Christian Bale Has No Desire to Do Another Superhero Movie, However…..

It might surprise you to know that Christian Bale has no interest in playing a superhero ever again. Not only that, he’s never even watched a superhero movie apart from the ones he’s made and only one other film.  To be honest this doesn’t surprise me in the least.  There’s something about Christian Bale that makes this story completely believable.  But the reality is that Christian Bale is one of the last superhero actors to premiere on the silver screen before the cinematic universe boom.  He recently opened up and responded to whether or not he would take on another

Here’s How Some Nature Documentaries are “Fake”

Nearly 100% of shows on television are edited in some way.  I think all of us know that reality shows aren’t really “reality” shows anymore.  As much as you see authentic behavior and real life emotions and actions in front of you, there’s still a giant canvas in front of the editor of the program to construct any narrative they feel will work to get the best reaction out of the audience.  So as much as you might think a real “fight” occurs on a TV program, while the fight itself was real, perhaps the build up, surrounding incidents, reactions

Jane the Virgin Review: When Siblings Come To Town

It’s getting hot in Miami, and we don’t just mean the weather. Jane the Virgin kept her promise and waited to lose her ‘flower’ until her wedding night. Fast forward three years since that moment and Jane has entered a new stage in her life. If Jane chooses to open herself up, her professional life develops and her personal life becomes much more exciting. Emphasis should be put on the fact that Jane is looking for the right kind of excitement, as opposed to the messiness that Rafael and Petra have to deal with. First things first. Let’s congratulate Jane

American Horror Story Confirms No One is Playing Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton in Season 7

We all know that Ryan Murphy has said multiple times that season 7 of American Horror Story will have a focus on the 2016 presidential election.  However, all of us are still in the dark about what that exactly means.  Will the show itself be centered in the middle of the election?  Will the show actually be political?  Are actors going to portray any political figures like Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton?  Turns out we finally have an answer to one element of the show. Ryan Murphy clarified one point in an interview with E! recently: The episodes will not

The Moment Tom Hanks Had the Chops To Win An Oscar Came in a 1986 Film

You could argue that Tom Hanks had Oscar acting ability as Uncle Ned on Family Ties but then you’d be lying to yourself.  You could say there were hints of his greatness even before that in Bosom Buddies but you’d be lying to yourself then too.  How about Bachelor Party?  Nope.  The Money PitSplash?  These were all good movies and I think we’d all agree that Hanks was great in all of them but at what point did he transform from comedy into the guy you see today? Many say that Hanks really showed how good an actor he

What if Nothing in Star Wars Meant Anything At All?

So what’s the latest news out of the Star Wars universe?  Today there’s a lot of speculation going on regarding the meaning of Luke’s necklace in The Last Jedi.   Many are speculating that he’s hiding something in it.  Some say it could be pieces of Darth Vader’s lightsaber. Making Star Wars, referencing earlier reports that Luke Skywalker had kept “pieces of Darth Vader’s lightsaber” in The Last Jedi, is now claiming that Luke wears necklace with a “red crystal protruding from the bottom of it” in the film. If Luke Skywalker has the last Darth Vader Kyber crystal, someone like Kylo Ren would

Could Now Be the Right Time for a Waterworld Remake?

Today I was scrolling around the forums and comment sections of movie sites I enjoy.  I came across this little gem on Reddit and I honestly couldn’t agree more.   It was focused on the subject of the movie Waterworld deserving a remake.  Here’s what the person said: I watched this movie couple of days ago , and I must admit there is something about 90’s movies . During that time makers kept things simple , focusing on screenplay but if it is made today , it’s all about CGI. I really think a remake of this film like Mad Max:Fury

Guy Completes Super Mario Bros Run In the Most Boring Way Possible

To this day I love me a good video game run.  It’s fun to watch people record just how quickly and successfully they can get through a video game.  When it comes to old school games I’ll almost always tune in to see what people are up to.  Today I came across a video of a guy who completely Super Mario Bros on the Nes.  There’s nothing abnormal about that.  However the way in which he beat the game was so boring that I had to share it with you. I respect his method of winning but I happen to

You Can Finally Watch Le’veon Bell Rap in an Abandoned Steel Factory

While I don’t think anyone can ever top the fictional rap video from Any Given Sunday featuring none other than Qb Willie Beamen, I’m not going to lie when I say that the rap debut of Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’veon Bell isn’t half bad.  No, seriously, it’s pretty decent.  Bell is arguably the best running back in the NFL but it turns out he’s got some decent skills on the mic as well.   Bell, who raps under the name Juice, may not be Kendrick Lamar, or even Damian Lillard, he doesn’t completely embarrass himself on “Machine.” Check out his

It’s been a long wait, friends, but Gotham has finally returned to our televisions. Villains are becoming who they’re meant to be, and the younglings are maturing right before our eyes. Based on this episode, it’s going to continue to be an exciting ride. Spoilers abound below, so use caution. This week on Gotham: When Nygma shot Oswald (Penguin), he killed a part of his soul. So, Nygma spends his

Ever Wonder Why So many Cartoon Characters are Yellow?

In the old days it was pretty easy to do the coloring on a cartoon because everything was in black and white. There was no coloring! But with the advent of color, a creative stream and completely new way to tell a story opened up. Not only could you create dialogue that meant the world to the viewer, but a reaction, gesture, or emotion could be amplified by the use of color. Color itself became an integral “character” if you will. However, something strange brewed out of the advent of color in cartoons. As many options as animators have, it

Great Moments in TV: The Beach Reunion Scene in Lost is Still Amazing

Little do many people know that the show Lost is one of the inspirations of this website.  It’s one of the reasons TVovermind even exists and if it weren’t for the previous owner’s amazing reviews and work on this show, we wouldn’t even be around today.  So I think it’s important to once in a while not only pay respects to the previous owner of this website, but also pay respects to one of the better shows we’ve ever seen on television.   This scene took place in season 2 and was the eighth episode of that season. Survivors of 815

A Completely Unrealistic Suggestion on Releasing the Avatar Sequels

I’m really hoping that this is the last we hear of any upcoming Avatar movies.   It’s been a roller coaster so far and I have a feeling we’re not nearly done with the drama.  But in case you haven’t been following here’s what happened recently. Over the weekend, 20th Century Fox updated a few release dates for upcoming projects, and also announced a new set of release dates for the Avatar sequels. We’ve been waiting years, and years, for these sequels and we’re not sure when exactly they will show up… But maybe this time it’s official? Only Cameron knows.

Girl Reacts to Darth Vader Star Wars Reveal and It’s Priceless

In the history of movies, the true identity of Darth Vader has always been one of the greatest twists.   In fact, you’ll rarely if ever find a person attending a Star Wars movie who doesn’t know this no matter how little of the Star Wars franchise they’ve seen.  At this point in our history it’s practically common knowledge.   However, once in a blue moon you’ll find an innocent soul out there who never knew the real truth and when they find it out, their mind is completely blown. So what happens when a 15-year-old teenage girl find out that Anakin

A Hilarious Video Essay on the Movie “She’s All That”

When you look back in the Pantheon of teenage movies from the 90s, She’s all That is Way up there. First of all, let’s get into the obscene amount of famous people cast in this movie. Freddie Prinze Jr, Rachael Leigh Cook, Matthew Lillard, Paul Walker, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, Kevin Pollak, Anna Paquin, Kieran Culkin, Usher Raymond, Lil’ Kim, and Gabrielle Union.  So we’ve got that out of the way. Now let’s get into the film itself.  It’s absurd.  Mainly because Rachel Leigh Cook is portrayed as this weird, unattractive character which from the get go makes you just as

Let’s All Calm Down About Rosario Dawson Not Playing Claire Temple

Apparently when you’re the only game in town for Superheroes to get medical treatment from, you’re in high demand.  That seems to be the recent news with Rosario Dawson and her ability to play Claire Temple in the Marvel Netflix universe.   Dawson seems to pop up in each Netflix comic book series and is the thread that connects the shows together, reminding people they all take place in the same city. Except she won’t be doing it for The Punisher. In an interview with Collider, Dawson talked about the scheduling problems in this universe, saying: At the end of the

What Happens When The Flash, Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman Vacation at the Beach?

It looks like Monday is for parody videos.  I think this might be the third one of the day but I’m not going to stop if I think these are worth showing.  And this one’s definitely worth showing.  Youtube star Rudy Mancuso has come up with a new Superhero video that I had to share with you.  Since yesterday it’s already gotten over 1 million views.  I suppose that helps when you’re at nearly 2 million subscribers like Mancuso is.  Still though, the video is definitely worth seeing. This is Mancuso’s take on what happens when you bring together some

Imagining World Of Warcraft On The Nes: A Perfect Spoof Video

On of my favorite parody video genres is when people take particular movies or television shows and turn them into “8 Bit Classics.”   There have been hundreds of these put out on the internet and I honestly think that each one (when done correctly) has some merit and entertainment value to it.  My personal favorite, just because of how random it was, has to be when Shawshank Redemption was turned into an 8 bit game. While that may never be replicated, this World of Warcraft spoof from Rkade Soup is better than most of the “turned into an Nes game”

NCIS: Los Angeles Review: Without Granger

The cast and crew of NCIS: Los Angeles have been feeling the weight of losing main cast member Miguel Ferrer. The man was not only a member of their television family, he was a Hollywood legend in his own right. Because Ferrer knew he had little time left, a storyline was prepared to write him off of the show before he died. Now finally his death will be addressed on the show. Ferrer was an actor more deserving of a simple tribute episode or the like. To pay tribute to his work, NCIS: Los Angeles decided to use his character’s
