Morrissey Cancels More Shows

17 February 2013 12:46 PM, PST

Bad news for Morrissey fans. The Smiths alum has canceled more of his upcoming shows, due to illness.

Morrissey first canceled concerts earlier this month, citing a bleeding ulcer and Barrett's esophagus as the reason for his cancelation. "Morrissey thanks everyone concerned for their well wishes during this time and hopes for a speedy recovery," a rep for Morrissey said at the time of the first cancelations.

While he intended to resume his tour in El Paso on Feb. 12, that show was canceled and he announced that the tour would return on Feb. 21 in Denver. That show has since been canceled as well.

A post on Morrissey's Facebook page reads, "Morrissey is currently undergoing treatment for a bleeding ulcer and Barrett’s esophagus. These shows are in the process of being rescheduled immediately and all patrons are encouraged to hold on to their tickets as the new dates will be announced shortly. »

Discovery Bets On Pot

17 February 2013 11:11 AM, PST

New York — Cupcake makers, pawnbrokers and storage container raiders have all had their moments in reality television's spotlight. Now the time may be right for marijuana growers – and the people who chase them.

The Discovery network debuts a six-episode series, "Weed Country," at 10 p.m. Wednesday and will replace it with "Pot Cops" in April. Both examine the marijuana trade in northern California.

It fits Discovery's efforts to introduce interesting subcultures to viewers, said Nancy Daniels, the network's executive vice president for production and development on the West Coast. Discovery tried a series about a medical marijuana dispensary in Oakland two years ago, "Weed Wars," and is sticking with dope even though the show didn't do very well in the ratings.

"We still think it's an interesting world and maybe we didn't tap into the right part of it," Daniels said.

Based on its first episode, "Weed Country" is a »

Watch: Uh Oh, Marco Rubio's Still Thirsty

17 February 2013 10:08 AM, PST

Sen. Marco Rubio's response to President Obama's State of the Union address made headlines for pretty much one reason: An ill-timed drink of water. On this week's Weekend Update, "SNL" allowed Rubio (played here by Taran Killam) to explain the backstory behind the infamous sip, and showed him falling into the same thirst traps in trying to recover from the gaffe. »

Holy Crap, 'SNL'

17 February 2013 9:45 AM, PST

For anyone who worries that "Saturday Night Live" doesn't take enough risks, we will kindly point you in the direction of "Djesus Uncrossed," which puts Jesus Christ in a Tarantino-directed, ultra-violent revenge flick akin to "Django Unchained."

The "SNL" parody is sure to offend many Christians, who may be put off by "SNL" depicting the Son of God as opting to not sit at the right hand of the Father after rising from the dead, and instead kicking the asses of those who crucified him.

The story departs from the Bible's take of the Resurrection after Jesus -- er, Djesus (played here by "Django" co-star Christoph Waltz) -- leaves the cave where his body lies, and instead of ascending to heaven, he goes off to kill as many Romans as possible.

"He's risen from the dead, and he's preaching anything but forgiveness," the narrator states, with images of Jesus killing Roman soldiers in the background. »

The 'Up All Night' Saga Continues

17 February 2013 9:17 AM, PST

"Up All Night" could just fade away into the good night. According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC may just cancel the comedy instead of producing one episode with in a multi-camera format.

The comedy starring Christina Applegate, Will Arnett and Maya Rudolph was originally a single camera show about new parents. NBC announced plans to make it a multi-camera series about a struggling TV show in October. At the time, five episodes were to be produced.

In December, showrunner Tucker Cawley left and Linda Wallem was announced as his replacement. But the changes didn't stop there. In early February, Christina Applegate announced she was leaving the series.

“It’s been a great experience working on 'Up All Night,' but the show has taken a different creative direction and I decided it was best for me to move on to other endeavors,” Applegate said in a statement. “Working with »

Headed To Vegas?

17 February 2013 9:09 AM, PST

Britney Spears may not be the only star headed to Las Vegas. The Daily Star reports that Adele could be the next singer to sign on for a Vegas residency.

Adele may consider the residency instead of traveling for a world tour.

Adele is top of the Vegas hit-list and she’s seriously considering it as an option," a source said, The Star reports. “She wants to get back to performing but doesn’t want to go on the road so soon after becoming a mum. A Vegas residency would mean she could settle with her family and record her third album all at once."

Adele gave birth to her first son on Oct. 19. She has reportedly started work on her third album, two years after the release of her last album, "21."

Adele recently won the Grammy award for Best Pop Solo Performance for her live recording of "Set Fire to the Rain, »

Photos: Noel Gallagher's 13-Year-Old Daughter Is The Coolest Girl At Fashion Week

17 February 2013 8:42 AM, PST

Young celebrity offspring nabbing front row seats to fashion shows isn't a new phenomenon. But what about when the offspring in question happens to be the coolest girl in attendance? That's something we hadn't seen before today.

Anais Gallagher, daughter of Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher and Meg Matthews, sat front and center during yesterday's Moschino Cheap & Chic show during London Fashion Week. The 13-year-old was pretty hard to miss in her aqua blue silk pajamas, high heels and heart-shaped sunglasses. Way to tap into our tween dream wardrobe, Anais.

Of course, the duds in question were actually Moschino pieces sent directly to the cute youngster by the label. Former child star Miley Cyrus even showed her support for the look after Moschino tweeted a photo of Anais at the show. Miley's response? "You know I die for this!!!!!!"

Plus, Anais actually has some fashion cred. She's already signed to Select »

Watch: 'Fox & Friends' Welcomes Ted Nugent On 'SNL'

17 February 2013 8:14 AM, PST

"Fox & Friends" returned to "Saturday Night Live" this weekend, this time to react to President Obama's State of the Union address. And of course, they invited Ted Nugent (Bill Hader), who was a special guest at Tuesday's speech, to give his always-enlightening take on the election.

Take a look at the clip above to see Steve Doocy (Taran Killam), Gretchen Carlson (Vanessa Bayer) and the always-dopey Brian Kilmeade (Bobby Moynihan) completely misunderstand politics. They also welcome Fred Armisen as a British health official addressing the horsemeat scandal, who ensures them that they are even worse than stereotypes of Americans.

As always, be sure to have your finger on the pause button at the end when they list off the "Fox & Friends" corrections. »

The Oscar Favorite?

17 February 2013 8:11 AM, PST

Los Angeles — In mathematical terms, divide the circumference of the world by its diameter, and you have pi. In Hollywood terms, add a United Nations mix of ingredients and you have the blockbuster "Life of Pi."

With 11 Academy Awards nominations – second only to "Lincoln" with 12 – and the sort of global box-office receipts normally reserved for superheroes, "Life of Pi" is one of the most unusual megahits ever to hit the big-screen. Approaching $600 million at the box office worldwide, the film is by far the top-grosser among the nine best-picture nominees – with $200 million more than "Les Miserables" and "Django Unchained," its closest rivals.

"Life of Pi" has action, suspense and spectacle, but it's a thoughtful, contemplative, internalized film, a philosophical and even cryptic story that touched something in the worldwide psyche resulting in business in the realm of more traditional Hollywood hits such as "The Hunger Games," "Men in Black 3" and "Brave. »

Maya Rudolph Reportedly Expecting Baby No. 4

17 February 2013 8:05 AM, PST

Rumor has it Maya Rudolph is pregnant.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Up All Night" star, 40, has informed NBC that she is expecting her fourth child with husband Paul Thomas Anderson. The couple already has three young kids Pearl, 7, Lucille, 3, and Jack, only 19 months.

Sources also tell THR that Rudolph's pregnancy is expected to be written into the revised version of the show, now that Christina Applegate has announced her departure. Still, "Up All Night" might not return to the small screen at all, considering the series' writers are allegedly looking for new jobs.

Well despite the show's reported reboot, busy mom Rudolph is set to be up all night. (If she's pregnant, that is!) »

Mary J. Blige Gets Hit With $900,000 Tax Lien

17 February 2013 7:13 AM, PST

Mary J. Blige's financial issues just seem to get worse and worse.

The singer, 42, has been hit with a $901,769.65 tax lien in the State of New Jersey, according to documents obtained by TMZ. And to make matters worse, this delinquent tax issue is only one in a handful of monetary woes Blige has been faced with over the last couple of months.

The "No More Drama" songstress was just sued earlier this month for allegedly defaulting on a $500,000 bank loan. According to the lawsuit filed by Bank of America in New York State Supreme Court, Blige took out the loan in 2005 and stopped making re-payments in June 2012.

Plus in Nov. 2012, Blige and her husband Martin Isaacs were hit with another lawsuit after they failed to pay off a $2.2 million bank loan. According to court documents filed in New York State Supreme Court in Manhattan, Signature Bank is seeking to »

'Swag Up Bro'

17 February 2013 6:58 AM, PST

The bizarre feud between pop heartthrob Justin Bieber and The Black Keys' drummer, Patrick Carney, continues.

The fight began after the Grammys last week when Carney was asked about Bieber's lack of Grammy nominations. "He's rich, right?" Carney said. "Grammy's are for music, not for money. He's making a lot of money. He should be happy, I guess."

Soon after, Bieber responded, posting on his Twitter that "The Black Keys drummer should be slapped around."

At first Carney seemed remorseful, posting on his Twitter, "It's cool when you get cornered outside your hotel by a guy with a camera and they ask you a dumb question and then put it on TV. :(" He also responded to Bieber's comments with a sad face.

Things took a turn, however, when Bieber's Beliebers started attacking Carney on Twitter, saying things like "he needs a punch in the face with a brick, »

She Can't Drink Legally, But She Can Swallow Swords

17 February 2013 6:22 AM, PST

Asia Ray isn't old enough to drink legally, but she can already swallow something more lethal: swords.

Just 20 years old, Ray is not only an accomplished fire eater, she's also the youngest professional female sword swallower in the world -- an amazing feat, considering there are only 200 sword swallowers in the world, according to the Sword Swallowers Association International (Ssai).

Some parents might gulp if their kids wanted to swallow swords for a living, but Ray has had nothing but support from her parents, Todd and Danielle Ray. With good reason: They run the Venice Beach Freakshow in Los Angeles, which regularly features swords swallowers, fire eaters and the world's largest collection of two-headed animals.

The family business is now the subject of Freakshow, a reality show airing Thursdays on AMC, and Asia's attempts to sharpen her sword swallowing skills are an important subplot.

"Happy Endings" is getting in on the meme action with their own take on the "Harlem Shake."

The beloved -- but low-rated -- ABC comedy released a video of the cast and crew getting in on the viral sensation. Please notice the appearance of the hair helmets from earlier in Season 3 and Sinbrad. Series star Casey Wilson shared the video with fans on Twitter.

"Happy Endings" made headlines after ABC announced plans to shuffle it off to Friday nights. The cast takes the schedule shifts in stride.

"It's a running joke on set when we film something we all think is incredible that someone goes, 'Oh man, that was so good -- it's too bad no one will ever see it.' It's the same as every year, we just never know," Eliza Coupe told ETOnline about the show's constant bubble status. "The network and the studio love the show, »
