Thomas Jane Will Punish The Predator In Shane Black's Upcoming Reboot

The cast of Predator is already pretty damn impressive thanks to the likes of Boyd Holbrook, Keegan-Michael Key, and Trevante Rhodes lined up to take on the iconic aliens, but now The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Thomas Jane is in talks to join the reboot which is being helmed by Shane Black.  There's no news on who the former Punisher will play as of right now, but he joins other recent addition Sterling K. Brown (Black Panther) in a movie which looks set to restore the franchise to its former glory. We don't know too much about it right now, but production is set to begin in February. However, the trade mentions that Logan star Boyd Holbrook is, "leading an ensemble cast in a story which features an array of the alien hunters first seen in the 1987 movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, but this time in a more domestic setting." Are you looking forward to Predator? »

Marvel's Black Panther Gets A Sweet New Logo; Plus Michael B. Jordan Shows Off His Killmonger Physique

For the next year or so, Atlanta is going to be filled to the brim with superheroes as Marvel gets to work on both Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War (not to mention Ant-Man and the Wasp this summer). The former kicked off production early last week while the latter just started rolling cameras today. To commemorate the occasion, Marvel co-president Louis D'Esposito has shared a very cool behind-the-scenes image from set showcasing a look at the new-and-improved logo for the upcoming Ryan Coogler-directed film, which stars Chadwick Boseman in the lead role. The new logo, which is the second overall, falls in line with how Marvel Studios tends to operate as they did something similar last year with the Captain America: Civil War logo, which went through three iterations before the final one was revealed on the theatrical release posters.  Check it out below: Mornings with #BlackPanther afternoons #AvengersInfinityWar pic. »

Take A Closer Look At Wolverine And The X-Men's Costumes In This Comic Book Page From Logan

James Mangold first teased us with the prospect of Hugh Jackman suiting up in a deleted scene from The Wolverine, and many fans believe we'll see the hero finally get a costume in Logan. Whether that's a flashback or because he needs it to compensate for his failing healing factor remains to be seen, but if nothing else, we'll at least get to see Wolverine in his classic blue and yellow duds in a comic book!  Created specially for Logan, Joe Quesada provided the artwork and has now revealed the page. He worked on others too, but those are being kept under wraps presumably until the movie is released. "Since this page is already public, as seen in the mind blowing Logan trailer, I’m guessing it’s okay to post these process pieces. It was a blast working closely with James Mangold on creating these pages (yes, there’s »

The Golden Raspberry Awards (or tenderly "Razzies") is a special kind of prize that no one really wants to win. Last year we've watched a lot of "bad" movies and sadly, some of them were comic-book movies, which we've been eagerly anticipating for a long time. Now it's time to reward some of them. In the 2017's edition, we have two major candidates fighting in the most of the categories - Zoolander 2 and Batman v. Superman; both movies achieved an incredible result of 8 nominations, including the most important category, "Worst picture", as well as "Worst actor" (BvS is nominated twice, Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck both have a chance to succeed), "Worst supporting actor" (Jessie Eisenberg as Lex Luthor), "Worst screen combo" ("Ben Affleck & his Bff [baddest foe forever] Henry Cavill"), "Worst director" (Zack Snyder) and "Worst prequel, remake, rip-off or sequel". Avengers: Infinity War Directors Officially Announce Commencement Of Production On The Marvel Sequel

It looks like today (January 23) marks the first official day of filming on Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo shared the news by posting the image below to their Instagram and Facebook accounts, and as you can see, they're clearly not prepared to give very much away just yet! Though a shot of a bunch of trailers is probably their idea of a little joke, it is somewhat disappointing that Marvel didn't choose to give us a little more to go on, as they have done in the past for similar announcements. Still, we had our first batch of set pics over the weekend so perhaps some more unofficial shots will find their way online soon enough. Avengers: Infinity War is set to hit theaters on May 4, 2018, followed by its still-untitled sequel on May 3, 2019.    Day #1 of Infinity. Production Has Officially Begun On The Tomb Raider Movie Starring Alicia Vikander

Assassin's Creed wasn't the turning point for the video game movie genre most of us hoped, so now all eyes are on Tomb Raider. With production kicking off today, director Roar Uthaugh has taken to Instagram to confirm that production has officially begun and that no doubt means we'll get a first look at Alicia Vikander suited up as the iconic video game character in the very near future (this week?).  We have no idea how she'll look, but chances are it won't be too different to the version in the most recent instalments of the franchise based on what we know about the story. Joining Vikander (The Man From U.N.C.L.E.) are Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight) along with Daniel Wu (Into the Badlands). Written by Transformers: The Last Knight scribe Geneva Robertson-Dworet, the new Tomb Raider movie is currently set to be released on March 16th, 2018. That was a »

Batman Leads The Team In This Brand New Image From Zack Snyder's Justice League

The latest issue of Empire Magazine features a new image from Justice League, and while an official version will likely be released either today or slightly later this week, we do have a scanned version (which unfortunately split it in half) for the time being. As you can see, it's a shot taken directly out of that Comic-Con trailer as the Dark Knight leads this much smaller version of the team into action.  Where are Superman and Aquaman? That's a question the movie will likely answer, but seeing these four icons together is very cool. It would probably be a little more special if we'd spent more time with the characters and Batman and Wonder Woman hadn't already met (a la The Avengers), but Justice League is definitely shaping up to be one of 2017's best superhero movies, don't you guys think?  Starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, »

Comics: Eddie Brock Is Back In The Venom Suit This April

Marvel is certainly gearing up for a big Venom-centric storyline in the early part of 2017. Venom #4 will feature Peter Parker and Marc Gargan and of course, the symbiote's current host, Lee Price. Price, a hard-nosed criminal was bonded with the space parasite just last November but the confirmation of Eddie Brock's return seems to indicate that Price won't be playing the infamous Spider-Man ally/foe for too much longer. Marvel also previously confirmed that the series would be temporarily renumbered this May as Venom #150 would see "The Biggest Venom Story In Ten Years" published. May marks the 29th Anniversary of the character's debut in May 1988's Amazing Spider-Man #300 following the symbiote's debut in 1984 in Secret Wars. You wanted it, you got it! 11 hours ago

Lucasfilm has just officially announced that "the next chapter of the Skywalker saga" will be titled Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and unveiled the teaser poster below. Ever since J.J. Abrams' The Force Awakens began its theatrical run fans have speculated about what the next instalment in the saga could be called, and more recently several rumoured titled did the rounds - but as far as we know nobody guessed it'd be anything like this. You'll notice the poster utilises a red font, which while not as common as the usual yellow, is not a first - though up until now it has been reserved for the final film in the previous trilogies. As for the title itself, though it may seem fairly self-explanatory, "The Last Jedi" doesn't necessarily refer to just one character. What do you guys think? Sound off below. Star Wars: The Last Jedi will star Mark Hamill, »

Woody Harrelson Seemingly Confirms The Name Of The Character He'll Be Playing In The Young Han Solo Movie

When it was announced that Woody Harrelson had joined the cast of Phil Lord and Chris Miller Han Solo origins movie we were told that he'd be playing the burgeoning space-smuggler's mentor, and following that, Harrelson himself revealed that his character would be a criminal. These two pieces of information led many to speculate that the Hunger Games actor might be playing Garris Shrike, and it looks like they were spot on. During an interview with Variety, Harrelson was asked straight out of he was going to portray Shrike, and after some consideration, he seemingly decided to confirm it: Garris Shrike was created for the Expanded Universe novel, The Paradise Snare, back in 1997. Though the character was indeed a mentor of sorts to an orphaned Solo, teaching him how to fly and excel at being a scoundrel, he was also abusive to his young charge and this led to a parting of ways. »

James Mangold Clarifies Hugh Jackman's Confusing Continuity Statements Regarding Logan

Logan star Hugh Jackman made some confusing statements this weekend when he gave an interview implying that his final film as Wolverine would be set in a different universe than prior films in the X-Men franchise. "When you see the full movie you'll understand," he told Digital Spy. "Not only is it different in terms of timeline and tone, it's a slightly different universe. It's actually a different paradigm and that will become clear." Of course, this was surprising to many, especially considering the involvement of Patrick Stewart's Professor Xavier, who has had an extensive role in the overall story of the franchise. Now, due to some fans being vocal about their confusion, Logan director James Mangold (who has known to be quite vigilant in debunking rumours and speculation about the film) took to Twitter to respond. "[I] Don't think @RealHughJackman said that exactly. Simple fact. We take place in »

New Avengers: Age Of Ultron Concept Art Focuses On Alternate Designs For Ultron And Hawkeye's Farm

Popular opinion says that Avengers: Age of Ultron didn't live up to its promise. Without a doubt, there's one area where the movie surpassed the first franchise's installment -  and it's production design. Thanks to the courtesy of Atomhawk Design, we have a much better look at the many concepts from the movie, like the concept art of The Avengers Tower, the hallicarier, rescue carriers, the secret Hydra base in Sokovia and even detailed look at Ultron's detonator (also known as "the key). Charles Wood, production designer at Atomhawk, has also commented about the company’s unique approach in creating designs and overcoming obvious obstacles. "The challenge for most designs is making them look cool and original but that wasn't the challenge here. The real challenge was to create a rest stop and a contrast to the rest of the movie. Something familiar and human in contrast to the chaos »

Awesome New Justice League Tagline Spotted On Crew Member T-Shirt

22 January 2017 6:17 PM, PST

"They've never faced us before. Not us united." That's a pretty cool tagline, right? Even if the slogan on the t-shirt below isn't one which will be heavily featured in Justice League's marketing campaign, it's more than likely a line from the film and one which it should be fun to hear in context. However, who says it? That obviously remains to be seen, but I would put my money on Ben Affleck's Batman!  Who "they" are is another mystery, but chances are this hero is referring to Steppenwolf and his Parademons as it's thought they will be the big bads in Justice League. The Super Bowl is coming up so we may get a new look at the movie then, but with studios opting out of spending money there in recent years, we may have a long time to wait (unless a trailer is attached to The Lego Batman Movie »
