Editorial: Uncovering The Truth of ComicBookMovie.Com

Note:   Nope, I’m not Jacky. Sorry. But I highly respect him. But after realizing the truth, I don’t know what to believe. I will probably get shot down for good for spoiling this. My punishment will be something horrid and unimaginable, but it will be worth it. Like licking the fungus between Gusto’s toes or trying to read a terrible fan script. Anyhow if you enjoy living in a false illusion, Don’T continue reading. You’ve been warned. We all love Cbm.com, right? It gives us all sorts of news, rumors, fan scripts, scoops, funny comments etc. All fun and games, right? I just wish it was that way. Part of why I love this site so much is the multiple personalities and characters there are. But after some very close examination, I uncovered it was a lie. The people. What?! How Are The People A Lie? »

Scott Derrickson Talks Up Marvel's Doctor Strange Screenwriter

Just weeks after news broke that Scott Derrickson would be helming Doctor Strange, news followed that Prometheus scribe Jon Spaihts would be tackling the script. And given that Derrickson has writing credits on all but one of his horror/supernatural movies, and then some, Movie Pilot asked the filmmaker late last month if he would be taking on more directing-only projects starting with Marvel's Socerer Supreme adaptation. "Not necessarily," he answered. "Obviously it’s been announced there’s a writer on Doctor Strange but in that situation it’s maybe my favorite screenwriter in town. I’d read four of his scripts before ever meeting him. I think that the opportunity to work with great talent and people who can supersede my abilities in various areas is extremely exciting to me. Like, Jon Spaihts is a genius." It's presumed that Derrickson will only be directing Doctor Strange, but it's possible »

New Batman v Superman Rumors On Ben Affleck's Batsuit

The website, Batman-On-Film, was contacted by a source, that goes by the name of "Shoeless." This source, has provided them with a few interesting pieces of information regarding Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - specifically about Ben Affleck's Batsuit. Some of the information contradicts Kevin Smith's comments from a few days ago when he said, " "I'm telling you, that’s what they're doing in this new movie Batman movie. It's him in material. None of this body armor shit." Of course, take this info with a grain of salt - especially after the recent fake script fiasco. Batfleck’s Batsuit is steel grey and black. It’s mostly made of foam rubber even though it appears to be “cloth.” It has the muscles built into the suit (which I think is supposed to be “armor” under the “cloth” bodysuit. Constantine: Lucy Griffiths Exits; New Character 'Zed' To be Written In

Apparently wanting to go in a "different direction", the Constantine showrunners have decided to write the character of Liv out of the series -- and of course that also means saying goodbye to the actress that played her in the pilot episode, Lucy Griffiths. Instead of Liv, they're bringing in a character called Zed, who in the DC/vertigo comic books was originally John's lover before reappearing as a pagan sorceress. According to THR, "she will appear in an early episode of the series, with additional characters from Hellblazer and the occult DC universe to be introduced later. Zed will, however, be the first to appear." More occult DC characters eh? That should be interesting -- Zatanna? Swamp Thing? Etrigan perhaps? Anyway, it's a shame about Griffiths but Zed is a cool character, so it just remains to see who they'll be getting to play her. »

Episode 02 Of The CW's Flash Titled "The Fastest Man Alive"

Thanks to actor Rick Cosnett, who portrays Eddie Thawyne on The CW's Flash, we know the title of episode 02 is "The Fastest Man Alive". Flash: The Fastest Man Alive was a DC Comics title that ran in 2006 and starred Bart Allen (not Barry). Interestingly enough, Arrow showrunner Marc Guggenheim also had a stint as a writer on the series, contributing issues 09 thru 13. With the pilot already hinting at the concept of time travel, could an appearance from Barry Allen's grandson be in the works? Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg are credited with the story concept with Kreisberg and Geoff Johns penning the script. David Nutter directs the episode. Sdcc '14: Marvel Announce TV Panels For Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. And Agent Carter

Unless we're in store for a lot of surprises, this is shaping up to be a pretty underwhelming Comic-Con. With no mention of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice in Warner Bros.' press release, confirmation from Disney that they're too busy shooting Star Wars Episode VII to bring it to Hall H and Sony bringing only a few smaller releases (meaning no The Amazing Spider-Man 3 or Sinister Six), fans are turning to Marvel for...something! Well, they've announced their television plans today, and the focus is very much on the second season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter.  It's hard to imagine that we won't hear some sort of Daredevil and Netflix news during this panel, but the fact that it isn't mentioned means that there's one less thing for fans to get excited about. For now, we're just going to have to wait and see! What do you guys think? »
