Gwyneth Paltrow On 'Pepper Potts' Possibly Returning In Captain America: Civil War

For the first time since the Marvel Cinematic Universe began with Iron Man, it seems that next year's Avengers: Age of Ultron will finally see Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark without the playful banter between he and his main squeeze, Virginia "Pepper" Potts. However, given an Iron Man 4 is not in development and the Armored Avenger is set to appear later in Captain America: Civil War, actress Gwyneth Paltrow was asked if she and Downey will be reuniting for that 2016 sequel. “I don’t know; I’ve heard rumors that maybe, and I don’t know,” the Iron Man 3 actress told Dish Nation during a recent interview. “My fingers are crossed. I would love to be Pepper Potts again at some point in my life.” It is worth noting that Pepper Potts did not have much of a role during the Civil War comic book storyline, but at the time, »

Charlie Day & Burn Gorman Will Return For Pacific Rim 2

Today, director Guillermo del Toro ("Hellboy") confirmed that Charlie Day ('Dr. Newton Geiszler') and Burn Gorman ('Dr. Hermann Gottlieb') will return for the Pacific Rim sequel. Day and Gorman played the co-heads of the K-Science Lab in the first film. “Yes.  It’s quite a different movie from the first one in that, but I think that two of our main characters like in the first one are Burn and Charlie.  They are really, really – I mean, honestly, they are probably the guys I have the most fun writing along with Hannibal Chau (Ron Perlman) so just from a purely selfish drive, I like writing them.  I love writing for Charlie and Burn.  I mean, [Burn's] in Crimson Peak for that reason, because I love working with him." As for the film itself, Guillermo del Toro says you can expect very different kaijus and robots. He also said the sequel will »

Ridley Scott Won't Direct Blade Runner 2; Harrison Ford Will Appear In Third Act

While doing press for his new movie Exodus: Gods And Kings, Ridley Scott provided some new details to Variety about the Blade Runner sequel. He'll be directing The Martian next, and after that Ridley has plans to direct something else, but he wouldn't tell Variety which film. They were told it wouldn't be Blade Runner 2, which Scott has been developing the past few years with screenwriter Hampton Fancher. Even though Scott will sit on the bench (he'll produce) for Blade Runner 2, fans can be happy to know 'Rick Deckard' (Harrison Ford) is returning. Scott said, “Harrison is very much part of this one, but really it’s about finding him; he comes in in the third act.” The film starts shooting in 2015, so they better figure out who is going to direct it fairly soon. Who would you like to see? My vote would go to Neill Blomkamp »

We've been hearing about Pacific Rim director Guillermo del Toro's Justice League Dark passion project for quite some time now, but because the film-maker always seems to have so much on the go/in the works at once, a lot of fans began to get the feeling it night just be wishful thinking and would never actually see the light of day. Updates were always fairly positive, but when we heard that NBC had a Constantine series in the works, and then Dark Universe wasn't a part of WB/DC's recent movie slate announcement we all wondered what the heck was going on with it. Now, Guillermo del Toro has confirmed to Forbes that the completed screenplay went to weekend reads at Warner Bros., and depending on the studio's reaction to it, in a few days we could have an official announcement that further steps will be taken to »

Up until now all of the animated Star Wars series have served as prequel stories to the live-action movies, but that may be about to change when Star Wars Rebels finishes up. That current (and pretty great I might add) show is set before the events of A New Hope, but according to /Film the cartoon that succeeds it will be set in the timeline of the new batch of movies, which kick off next year with The Force Awakens. Word is Disney/Lucasfilm's plan is to produce "about three or four seasons" of Star Wars Rebels before launching the new animated series. Though /Film are confident in their sources, they are treating this as a rumor for now and don't have many more details. However, they speculate that if the plan is to run 4 seasons of Rebels, the new show could première around the time of Rian Johnson’s »

Matthew McConaughey Will Reportedly Play 'Randall Flagg' In The Stand

Back in late August, the trades reported that Matthew McConaughey was being "heavily considered" for the villainous role of Randall Flagg in Warner Bros. planned adaptation of Stephen King's The Stand. Following that, director Josh Boone denied that anything was official, actually stating that he'd always envisioned McConaughey in the role of main protagonist Stu Redman, and Christian Bale as Flagg. Well now The Guardian seem to have confirmed the initial report, as according to them the Oscar winning actor will indeed haunt some cornfields in the movie as "the Walkin' Dude", Randall Flagg. Recently we found out that WB were actually planning to adapt King's 1200 page novel into four films, which makes a lot more sense than the one 3-hour movie we were originally told we'd be getting. CBS Films will co-produce and co-present The Stand, with Roy Lee and Jimmy Miller producing. So far the only other »
