Evangeline Lilly Joins Michael Douglas On Marvel's Ant-man Set (Photo)

Evangeline Lilly ("Lost") and Michael Douglas ("Fatal Attraction") were spotted on the Atlanta, Georgia set of Peyton Reed's Ant-Man. Douglas' 'Hank Pym' was dressed in a three-piece suit that had a large stain on it. Perhaps, blood? Maybe, maybe not. Lilly's 'Hope Pym' was still rocking her fashionable bob and she was dressed in a dark business suit. That's it, nothing earth-shattering. You'll have to click on the image below to see the image. Ant-man - Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world. Marvel's "Ant-Man" hits theaters July 17, 2015. It is being »

Chris Nolan's Interstellar Expected To Beat Batman Begins Opening

According to Variety, early tracking of Christopher Nolan's sci-fi epic, Interstellar, puts the film on course for a $50M debut when it opens in theaters next month. Though, it will face some stiff competition from Disney's Big Hero 6, which opens during the same weekend. Interstellar cost $165M to create, coming in $10M under budget. A $50M opening would make Interstellar the fourth best opening for a Christopher Nolan-directed film. The Dark Knight Rises opened with $160M in 2012, The Dark Knight opened with $158M in 2008, Inception had a $68M debut and 2005's Batman Begins pulled in $48M in its opening frame. Update! The Hollywood Reporter says both, Interstellar and Big Hero 6, could open closer to $60M. How much do you think Nolan's film will make in its opening weekend? Below is the new "The Science Of Interstellar" Featurette Official Synopsis - The adventures of a group of »

Alternate Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer Scenes

As I was saying, storyboard artist Darrin Denlinger supplied Film Sketchr with some great Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer storyboards of unused scenes, and today Darrin sent over storyboards of scenes that appeared in the film, but were tweaked from his original drawings. In most cases, budget concerns forced the more spectacular elements to get the axe. Boo! The set of images are of the first wedding scene. In the theatrical version Silver Surfer's presence is detected and all hell breaks loose, such as a helicopter crashing on the top of the Baxter Building - where the wedding is taking place. Sue uses her super-powers to stop the copter from harming her and her guests, then The Thing rips the tails off the copter to stop the blades from harming his Scandalously-blind girlfriend. In the storyboards below, this scene is a bit different as military soldiers/snipers are shown protecting the event, »

Gotham: Synopsis For "The Mask" May Hint At How 'Harvey Dent' Will Make His Debut

Obviously this version of Harvey Dent is quite a bit older than Bruce Wayne in the show, so clearly they won't be depicted as being school friends. But, could Dent be this "new friend" that Bruce meets when he returns to school? It's unclear why an assistant Da would be hanging around a school, (my guess is he's visiting Bruce because he knew his parents) but it would serve the purpose of forming a connection between he and Bruce for later down the line at least. Of course, that friend may not be Dent at all, but it seems strange that such a major new character from Batman lore wouldn't be mentioned anywhere else in the synopsis. Also, could the guy running the fight club be "The Mask" of the title? And could that Mask actually be Black Mask? Okay, bit of s stretch, but ya never know! Gordon And »

Does the Dark Direction is a Good Thing for DC Movies?

The Marvel movies are obviously much more lighter than the WB/DC movies. After all, Avengers had bunch of jokes and funny stuff, while Man of Steel was the movie where Superman broke Zod’s neck. Many people say that the DC movies are so dark gritty, but is that a bad thing? Let’s face it, two of the best and most influential comic-book movies in the last 15 years were Batman Begins and the Dark Knight. Both of these movies changed the game for comic-book movies. Iron Man was so good because it some queues from Batman Begins, as Marvel did a much serious and realistic version of Iron Man. Many people will say that the first X-Men movies were pretty realistic and dark, but it was only after the Batman Begins movies that Hollywood started to take comic-book movies much more serious. And I think we can all »

Is An X-men Spin-Off Starring Quicksilver On The Way?

Much to the surprise of pretty much everyone, Quicksilver ended up stealing the show in X-Men: Days of Future Past earllier this year. The scene in which he speeds into action has been unanimously praised, with some fans wondering how Joss Whedon will top it when we see a different version of the character in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron. When Newsarama recently caught up with second unit director Brian Smrz, he revealed that he was the one who actually pit the majority of the sequence together in the "inbetweenquel". "Probably the most memorable part of the film was getting the chance to work closely with almost all of the main cast in various scenes. As far as a particular scene that sticks out the most, I’d say the kitchen sequence with Quicksilver. I ended up doing a lot of that," he revealed before adding, "I did most of it, »

Edward Norton, the man who portrayed the Hulk, Bruce Banner in the 2008 Hulk film and was then replaced by Mark Ruffalo in the 2012 Avengers film, talked about how things went when he departed with Marvel in 2010, and told how it was something he wanted to do. Check it out! "My feeling was that I experimented and experienced what I wanted to. I really, really enjoyed it. And yet, I looked at the balance of time in life that one spends not only making those sorts of films but then especially putting them out, and the obligations that rightly come with that. There were just a lot of things—I wanted more diversity. I sort of chose to continue on my path of having a diversity of experiences. Maybe on some unconscious level, I didn’t want to have an association with one thing in any way degrade my effectiveness as »

Was Adrianne Palicki Initially Eyeing A Different Marvel Superheroine?

EW spoke to newly minted Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actress Adrianne Palicki on her turn as the newest addtion to the show, Bobbi Morse, better known to fans of Marvel Comics as Mockingbird. It seems Palicki had a bit of hesitancy about accepting the role of Mockingbird because that meant she understood she wouldn't be able to play any other Marvel characters, at least not for Marvel Studios. Explained Palicki on ultimately accepting the role--- "They approached me and were interested in me for the role. Of course, I’m a huge comic book fan and have been forever. My brother’s a comic book writer. Playing an action hero is always exciting, but it was scary, because I was like, “I will never be able to play another Marvel character if I go forward in this role.” There was a lot of questions and a lot of weighing the options. »
