Why An X-men: Dofp Stinger With Tasm 2? The Answer Will Disappoint Crossover Fans

Two rival studios teaming up to produce a movie featuring the Cbm characters they hold the respective rights to is something fans have dreamed of seeing for many years..and unfortunately, they'll have to keep dreaming. Earlier today it was revealed that in some Countries, the post-credits stinger in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was a scene from Bryan Singer's new X-Men flick, which featured Mystique, Toad and Havoc taking on Stryker and his men. The Webhead wasn't present of course, nor did the scene have a thing to do with the movie that preceded it, but some fans still thought this meant that a crossover was in the pipeline. Well, sorry to report that was not the case. Variety did some digging and here's what they discovered. The reason, Variety has learned, is that “Spider-Man” director Marc Webb had an existing contract with Fox Searchlight to helm another film »

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. Rumour: First (Low-Res) Set Photo From Star Wars 7?

This is the photo taken by Mona Al Marzooqi of The National in Abu Dhabi. Could this be Tatooine? And what is the circular object they are rolling out of the tent? Not much, but it does look like they are assembling something. And the folks over at http://www.starwars7news.com have done some detective work and believe the structure to be the foot of an At-at that were first seen in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. .. So what do you guys think it is?  »

The Amazing Spider-man 2 Review; "It's The Batman & Robin Of The Spider-Man Franchise"

As a lifelong Spider-Man fan, it would be easy to tear into The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for a lack of faithfulness to the comic books. However, when the likes of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Man of Steel take huge liberties and are still so often praised, it would be almost hypocritical to spend this review whining about such issues as Uncle Ben being turned into an irrelevent afterthought or Norman Osborn's single (but memorable scene). I suppose the main difference is that those films still told a coherent and enjoyable story despite such fanboy niggles, whereas The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is simply a bad movie.  Surprisingly, the biggest problem with the sequel is the humour. Whereas movies like The Avengers and Iron Man 3 were funny throughout, the slapstick sight gags and awful dialogue here consistently fail to hit the mark. They're the sort of jokes you might »

Chronologically, this story takes place prior to “The Big Fat Kill” (featured in the film Frank Miller’s Sin City) and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face. Sin City: A Dame To Kill For stars Mickey Rourke as Marv, Jessica Alba as Nancy, Bruce Willis as Hartigan, Rosario Dawson as Gail and Jaime King as Goldie/Wendy. The Amazing Spider-man 2 Post Credits to feature scene from Days of Future Past?

This is surprising. With the recent Marvel films, post-credit scenes have become pretty much expected and after 2012's Amazing Spider-Man also featured it's own post-credit scene, it should come as no surprise to find out the same has been planned for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. But, recently confirmed by Sony, a clip from the upcoming Days of Future Past, will instead be shown after the credits of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The scenes shown, will feature Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Toad (Evan Jonigkeit) and Havok (Lucas Till) taking on William Stryker (Josh Helman). What's the reason for this happening? Unknown at the moment, but could this be the beginning of some form of collaboration between the usually competing Sony and Fox? This has not been the first attempt to link Marvel franchises together (some will remember Oscorp Tower almost appearing in The Avengers) but is this yet another (unlikely but possible »

TheOneRing.net has always been a reliable source for news regarding Peter Jackson's Tolkien-based film projects. They were contacted by a reliable source who believes the third and final Hobbit film may not end up being titled, There and Back Again. So what might it be called? Here's their scoop: "Now, we hear that New Line has registered this further title, The Hobbit: Into the Fire." Editorial: Black Panther Is Perfect Just The Way He Is...With A Few Minor Changes.

The first article I read about the Black Panther on this website was about how to make Black Panther work in the Marvel Universe. And then proceded to create a film that has nothing to do with the Black Panther.  Now I agree that changes have to be made to update all of these origin stories but the Black Panther and Wakanda are even more true to form now than they were. On the surface the black panther is a story about ancient cults, a mystical secret nation, and kings that are decided through combat. The thing is you don't have to get rid of too much of that to keep the essence of Wakanda. What it could be about is the assassination of the true leader of a nation by an imperialist power to steal that reclusive nation's resources. The true successor is over seas, living under an assumed »

Kevin Feige Confirms That Marvel Studios has The Rights To Kingpin

A few days ago, Kevin Feige sat down with IGN Movies for a lengthy interview about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Near the end of the interview, Feige was asked about the rights for Kingpin, who most fans want to appear in the upcoming Daredevil Netflix show. In response, Feige said that "Kingpin we either have or somehow share." Given that Avi Arad has stressed that Kingpin was also a potential character that could be used in Sony's The Amazing Spider-Man franchise, it seems that Wilson Fisk falls under the same shared character umbrella as Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch. Feige also commented on the rights of Namor and Elektra, but seemed to be less sure in his response: "No, Namor I think is a little complicated, the way some of them are.  Elektra I think we have. I think that was part of Daredevil, and that's clean and simple. »

Fan Art: Game Of Thrones Meets X-men: Days Of Future Past

Here's what one of the creators (Comfort Love and Adam Withers) of the piece had to say about the idea... "So, this was an idea that Adam was shocked - Shocked - had not been done yet. When it occurred to him, he scoured the Googles to see whether anybody else had done it, but nothing came up. So here he is, sitting on this goldmine idea. In case anybody isn’t getting the reference, this piece is an homage to the classic John Byrne cover to Uncanny X-Men #141 - the start of the Days of Future Past storyline. With the upcoming movie, you’ll probably be seeing this cover more often. Adam selected Dany, Tyrion, and Jon for the front because they seem to have the strongest “Plot Armor.” Whatever else might appear to happen to them, I suspect we’ll be seeing them through to the end of the story. »

Spider Slayers and Black Cat Lined Up For Future Amazing Spider-man Films

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to launch a 'Spider-Man Cinematic Universe', overseen by producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach. We know that Venom and Sinister Six are already lined up along with direct sequels to The Amazing Spider-Man, but which other characters can we expect to see? According to Den of Geek, the Spider Slayers and Black Cat are almost certain to make an appearance in future Amazing Spider-Man films after the appearances of Bj Novak as Alistair Smythe and Felicity Jones as Felicia Hardy in the new movie. In an interview with producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach, Den of Geek asked if much was to be made of these appearances. "Definitely", Avi Arad said. "Everything you see that makes you think about the comics, I think you should read into it". Matt Tolmach added that "There are no accidents". Arad noted that "when they'll be implemented, »

According to Fox, Anna Paquin's 'Rogue' Will Be In X-men: Dofp

Although we had seen Rogue in the first X-Men: Dofp teaser and on various promotional materials since, Bryan Singer recently stated that actress Anna Paquin would not be making the final cut of the movie ("Even though she’s in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won’t appear in it.”) Well it now seems that, for whatever reason, that has changed. After noticing Paquin's name in the credits of the latest trailer, Buzzfeed contacted a 20th Century Fox rep who revealed to them that Rogue is back in the movie: “Essentially, [it’s] a cameo,” they were told. I guess either Singer decided that the scene she originally appeared in wasn't as extraneous” to the story as he once believed, or this is a completely different sequence entirely. One way or the other, it'll be nice to have the character back again »

Heroes: Reborn To Start Life As Prequel Webseries

The return of Heroes created quite the stir during Super Bowl advertising but there's been little news on the return of the NBC superhero drama which first aired on the peacock network back in 2006.  It's expected that Heroes: Reborn, which will follow an all new cast of super-powered individuals, will begin its 13-episode minisereis adventure in 2015.  But before that kicks off, the series will first return as a prequel webseries available on NBC.com, Hulu, and video-on-demand.  Related Content: Heroes To Return? »

According To Early Transcendence Reviews Johnny Is Out Of His Depp...th

The Playlist: "A Gloomy Thriller Trying To Ground Its At-Times-Daffy Premise" Given that Depp plays a computer for most of the film, I suppose he’s somewhat off the hook for such a static performance. Meanwhile, Hall does the best she can with her role, which jarringly shifts her from sober optimist to ruthless devotee in a single scene, leaving the other characters—and the audience—to make sense of it. Mara, Freeman, and Murphy are wasted, stuck in holding patterns of exposition; only Paul Bettany, as a scientist wary of his colleagues’ path, treads a winning, if somewhat telegraphed journey, bringing a warm and empathetic performance to this largely humorless affair. Over six collaborative efforts, Pfister and Nolan fashioned a much-debated approach of emotional logic over narrative coherence. In this film, it seems Pfister has swapped the routine, stringing a clear, episodic plot together with a perplexing mish-mash of motivations and actions. »
