Tmnt Filmmakers Want Some Familiar Faces For The Sequel

Many fans were disappointed when they heard Hockey mask-wearing vigilante (and potential love interest for April O'Neil) Casey Jones wouldn't be appearing in the Michael Bay produced Tmnt reboot, but, as you can tell from the article thumbnail, he's one if the characters the filmmakers would liked to have included -- the others being Shredder's mutated henchmen from the cartoon series, Bebop and Rocksteady. While chatting with Screenrant, Jonathan Liebesman and Brad Fuller don't reveal specific plans for any potential sequel, but apparently Fuller was "very clear that Platinum Dunes wants to utilize existing franchise characters – should they get the chance to make further live-action Tmnt movies." Fuller: We’re just finishing the movie but we all wish that we could put everything into the movie. We all have other characters that we wish we could have had in this movie. Liebesman: Casey Jones. Fuller: Casey Jones. Bebop and Rocksteady. »

The book was announced at the San Diego Comic-Con today and is being lined up for an April 2015 release to coincide with Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron. It is set in continuity, and Remender was quick to point out how excited he is to be reteaming with Opeña and colourist Dean White. "Jerome is a nutjob. He's a lunatic. I've been working with him for a decade, and it's so great to be back with him. The storytelling comes first, and the absolute labor he puts into it. An Ogn is perfect for him. New Trailer: Documentary On Tim Burton's Superman Lives

Earlier today, the first full-length trailer for Jon Schnepp's documentary, "The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?" debuted at San Diego Comic-Con and now it has been released. The Kickstarter funded documentary will try to explain why Tim Burton's Superman film never made it out of pre-production. If you're not familiar with this tale, let me give you the gist. In 1993, Warner Bros. purchased the film rights to Superman because of the renewed interest in the property following "The Death of Superman" comic book story arc. Jon Peters was the executive producer and he was focused on making a Superman film that was family-friendly as well as toy-friendly. Several writers were brough in, but in time their scripts were rejected. One of them was Kevin Smith, who tells a laugh-out-loud "Giant Spider" account of this moment in his life with Jon Peters. Smith was let go when Tim Burton »

Sony Pictures Entertainment announced today that the studio has brought together an extraordinary number of iconic video game companies, whose classic characters – including Pac-man, Donkey Kong, Centipede®, Galaga, Frogger, Q*bert, and Space Invaders – will be featured in the highly-anticipated action comedy Pixels, starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad, and Brian Cox, and directed by Chris Columbus.  The film will be released on May 15, 2015. In Pixels, when intergalactic aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults.  President Will Cooper (James) has to call on his childhood best friend, '80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Sandler), now a home theater installer, to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Dinklage and Gad) to defeat the aliens and save the planet.  Monaghan plays the team's unique weapons specialist. »

Shazam or Black Adam? Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Continues To Tease His DC Comics Role

Someone's gonna get it.. pic.twitter.com/eH7GzWxx0u — Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) July 24, 2014 Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson pretty much said outright that he'll be playing Shazam at some point in the very near future during an interview for Hercules earlier this week, but he has now seemingly confirmed the speculation which followed via his official Twitter account. Cleverly, he doesn't actually reveal whether it'll be Shazam or Black Adam that he's signed up to star as for DC Comics and Warner Bros., though the latter is a character he has most often expressed interest in in the past. Either way, this is pretty exciting, and with a tease like this it wouldn't be at all surprising for it to be made 100% official at the studio's panel at this weekend's San Diego Comic-Con »

When asked by Digital Spy whether he believes Marvel are heading in the direction of an Avengers/Guardians of the Galaxy team-up as both sets of heroes prepare to take on Thanos, writer and director James Gunn - who has recently been rumoured to be in the running to helm a third instalment of The Avengers - had this to say. "I think that there's certainly a decent chance that in the near future some of the Guardians or some of the Avengers or the Guardians And the Avengers or some sort of permutation of that, they'll meet at some point in time." The director then addresses the budget and humour before talk turned to what stage he and Marvel are at with a sequel. "I've been thinking about a sequel from the beginning. Review: Guardians Of The Galaxy – The Next Big Superhero Franchise?

I was one of the lucky few invited to attend the first screening of Guardians of the Galaxy on July 19th at Walt Disney Studios.  If you follow ComicBookMovie.com’s social feeds, or saw the initial screening reactions, you’ll note that my initial reaction was “Watch out Avengers, there’s a new posse in town!”… After spending the weekend in Burbank California for the screening, interviewing Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista) and Yondu (Michael Rooker) and having a several days to digest the film, what was great and what could have been improved upon, do I still feel the same way?  Absolutely! James Gunn does so many things right with Guardians of the Galaxy that one is tempted to say “The film is perfect!” While I’m tempted to say exactly that, it wouldn’t be true. The “perfect” film has yet to be created, and I would »

First Full Guardians Of The Galaxy Reviews Hit

> Unfortunately I can't share my review of Guardians Of The Galaxy until the 31st, but I can tell you that I loved it. The embargo has lifted on UK outlets however, and several have posted their thoughts online. Empire magazine gave the movie 4 out of a possible 5 stars, praising the titular heroic characters (Drax in particular), the soundtrack, and the enormous sense of sci-fi throwback fun. They do have some issues with the villains however, going so far as to refer to Thanos as "an embarrassment: a lantern-jawed CG ’toon blessedly only given a minute or so of screentime." But in summing up: Colourful, tongue-in-cheek fun, purpose-built for grown-up lovers of kitsch ’80s science-fiction. But the Marvel formula is starting to feel, well, a little too formulaic. Total Film also award 4 stars. They praise the film as Marvel's riskiest venture yet, but also have a few problems with the bad »
