The La Times Profiles Rupert Grint

27 October 2010 11:01 PM, PDT

The La Times has a new profile this evening about Rupert and his role in Wild Target . The main point of conversation is Rupert's knack for comedy, which he thinks is the most difficult kind of acting! But Jonathan Lynn, the director of Wild Target had some pretty big praise for Rupert's skill: "I think he has a real knack for comedy, but I do think he finds it difficult ... He thinks he finds the absolute precision of it difficult.... The reason he does seem to have a knack for it is that he's a natural, and he has this wonderful personae that works so well on the screen. He was the easiest and nicest person to have around, and he was determined to do whatever I asked." Other points of conversation in the article include Rupert's life now that Potter is over and involvement with Wild Target . Read it »

Rupert Grint is MTV's Hump Day Hottie, and A New Pic

27 October 2010 8:37 PM, PDT

We have a trio of goodies to bring you today! First of all, Bill Nighy was interviewed and had some, um, interesting things to say about our Rupert. Is Rupert Grint, in fact, confusingly attractive? I mean, you did see him naked in a bathtub full of milk,Bill. This is not something most of us do at our jobs. [Laughs.] Life is cruel! There are many young women all over the world — and perhaps young men, too — who really would yearn to be in my situation and see Rupert naked in a bath full of milk. That it should fall to me is kind of cruel, isn't it? But yeah, he was very cool to work with, Rupert. It is very cruel Mr. Nighy, very cruel indeed ! One might even say staggeringly! Staggering! You can read the rest of the interview here at nymag.com. Rupert has also been named »

New Interview with Parade: Rupert Grint on Wild Target, The Donald, and Those Tonsils

26 October 2010 2:37 PM, PDT

With the impending release of Wild Target in U.S. theatres this Friday, Parade Magazine has published a new and funny interview with Rupert Grint! The topics vary from discussing Wild Target , his skill (or lack thereof) with guns, and what he's been up to now that filming on the Potter franchise has come to an end (including getting rid of those pesky tonsils!). Rupert also mentions his look in the Deathly Hallows epilogue and likens his appearance to Donald Trump... "I don't age gracefully in the last film when all of us get older. My hair is still red but I have a lot less of it. It was quite a shock when I saw myself in the mirror. I felt like I was looking at Donald Trump because they gave me that comb over that he has. I did get a lot of ribbing from everyone, I must admit. »

Another New 'Deathly Hallows' TV Spot

26 October 2010 3:11 AM, PDT

After all the dark, intense promos for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 , now comes one of the more light-hearted TV trailers, with a few comical touches from the upcoming film. Some of the funny scenes we get glimpses of are Hermione giving Ron a 'welcome back' that probably wasn't quite what he'd hoped for, Luna and her dad Xeno working it on the Weasley wedding party dance floor, and polyjuiced Ron watching polyjuiced Harry 'flush' himself into the Ministry. Check out the TV spot for yourself on YouTube here . »

Dan Radcliffe Talks About Rupert in Fansites' Interview

24 October 2010 9:10 PM, PDT

Back in August, Dan Radcliffe talked to a group of representatives from the fansites in a telephone interview, and our friends at Drc , have just posted their transcripts, which can be seen here . He was asked all sorts of things, about both Part I and Part II , and the Part I answers are up, and two answers, in particular, are of interest to me in my Rupert hat: Q : what was it like playing the other characters in the Seven Potters scene? Dr : it was...bizarre... some were easier than others, to kind of impersonate... but, you know, Rupert was very, very difficult... because Rupert's got a lot of, um... I mean, his walk... I don't know if you... you wouldn't expect this about Rupert, but when we actually analysed it, Rupert's got a real wiggle in the hips, when he walks... and that was slightly unexpected... he »
