Ar Rahman Bags Twin Grammy Nominations

The twin Oscar winner, Ar Rahman, has bagged two nominations for the forthcoming Grammy Awards. The music maestro from India has received nominations in the Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media and Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media categories. The Grammy awards will be presented on 31st of January, 2010 at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles. Rahman had won two Oscars for his music in Slumdog Millionaire in February 2009. But this is the first ever Grammy nomination for the musical legend. As a part of the CBS special event of prime-time the Grammy nominations were unveiled. This the second consecutive instance when the Recording Academy revealed named of its 109 nominees during a televised concert. 2010 Oscar Awards to be Held on 7th March

The 82nd Academy Awards will be held in March instead of February. The date has been finalized on 7th of March. To avoid conflict with the Winter Olympics, the Academy of Motion Arts Pictures and Sciences have decided to postpone the 2010 Oscars to March. The live telecast of the award show will occur on March 7th, 2010, on ABC at 8 Pm. The prestegeous star studded event will be held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California, where awards will be given out for outstanding film achievements of 2009. The names of the stars who would co-host the 82nd Academy Awards had been already announced. Along with comedian Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, who recently declared his retirement from acting, will host the show. This is 3rd Oscar Award for Martin as a host and Baldwin's first. Dad Asks Lambert To Apologize For Ama Act

Although daddy wants son Adam Lambert to apologize for his controvercial performance at American Music Award. In a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres the American Idol winner said, "I don't feel like I did anything wrong. It just wasn't maybe the right judgment call". Following an unexpected kissing act on stage while performing at Ama, Lamber had to face and answer to a lot of questions shot at him. The show that was hosted on November 22nd, more than a week ago, Lambert is still finding it difficult to keep answering to sharp questions. Now that could be a big blow for his fans. Alec Bladwin has announced to take a leave from what he does best, acting, in 2012. Sounds much scary too. Can this lead up to when China might emerge as a super power. With Oprah Winfrey and Alec Baldwin bidding an adeu to the entertainment industry it seems Jackie Chan will reign all over. Perhaps the actor realized that there is more to Alec Baldwin than just acting. He is engaged into a lot of writing besides acting.
