If you missed the preview clip from the Christmas Doctor Who The End of Time, Part One on Children in Need yesterday evening on BBC One, read on... As revealed by the BBC's Official Doctor Who site, The End of Time, Part One has been confirmed as the title of the Christmas Day special! Presumably, the second part of the Tenth Doctor's last stand will be called The End of Time, Part Two. Interestingly this is the first time a single title has been given to multiple episodes since 1989's Survival - since Doctor Who returned in 2005 stories that have been told across several episodes have each had distinct titles, such as Human Nature... »

The Sarah Jane Adventures has continued its strong showing post-The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith with Mona Lisa's Revenge performing well over the course of its two episodes last week. Written by Phil Ford (Waters of Mars) Thursday's first part of the Lis Sladen-lite Mona Lisa's Revenge attracted an audience of 1 million, a share of 7.4% of the viewing audience and garnering an AI (Appreciation Index - explained here) of 84. It was great to hear the news that eminent sci fi and fantasy author Michael Moorcock would be writing a Doctor Who novel for BBC Books last week - until it transpired that a number of "fans" were less than complimentary. Speaking to a couple of outlets, Russell T Davies has confirmed that Torchwood Series 4 is all but confirmed for 2010. As reported by the Coventry Telegraph the outgoing Doctor Who exec is preparing for the fourth run of Torchwood - eagerly expected after the critical and popular success of Children of Earth - in the new year. Recording is complete on the first season of The Lost Stories, audio versions of unrecorded adventures from Doctor Who's past.
