Unexpected: Miley Cyrus breaks attendance record in London
8 hours ago
Pop tart Miley Cyrus was been selling out venues across the United States since her recent Wonder World tour began, but has our cousins across the pond been as receptive?
Yes. Yes, they have been. With gusto.
Cyrus has broken the record for performing for the largest ever attendance at London’s O2 arena.
The former Disney princess played to 16,196 rowdy fans on the third of of five concerts at the English capital. The arena holds up to 23,000 people.
Miley was supported by her brother Trace’s band Metro Station.
17-year-old Cyrus sold out her ten-date schedule. She told Irish TV channel Rte: “I will be in an apartment in London for Christmas. There will be 12 of us in total and my grandmother is going to cook dinner.”
Audience members were treated to Cyrus performing awkward booty pops, getting “hot and bothered” with male dancers and singing songs about artists she has never listened to.

Mike Fisher is putting A Ring on it!
Does anyone understand how people that have only dated for one year or less decide to get engaged, because that’s what Carrie Underwood and her now fiance Mike Fisher have decided to do says UsWeekly.
The Ottawa Senators hockey player confirmed the news during a press conference this morning saying, “It’s true. We’re both obviously excited and very happy.”
I seriously hope their marriage works out but come on, one year is not enough time to really get to know someone.
What do you think?

James Cameron says ‘Avatar 2′ will not be a prequel
9 hours ago
With all the talk of James Cameron turning the Avatar story into a trilogy, the popular director has noted that the next rumored installment will not be a prequel. If you are wanting to see how Sam Worthington’s character, Jake Sully, lost the use of his legs, you’re out of luck…and you’re sick.
Earlier this month Cameron talked about the proposed follow-ups to Avatar and commented on what the cost might look at for the production.
“…in terms of the pitch it was: Ok, you’ve spent a lot of money on the first one; on the second one we’ll be able to amortize it [the CG assets] and focus on the story and all that … and they bought that,” says Cameron regarding the assets and technology that has already been produced for the first film. Having these in place would make follow-ups cheaper to make and could

Dean Sheremet Wants A Divorce & Money
It’s always a little weird to me when men want spousal support from their wives when filing for divorce. Aren’t men supposed to be the bread winners? Well in this case, I guess not because Dean Sheremet has taken the first step in filing for divorce from his cheating wife country singer Leann Rimes.
The used to be cute couple married in 2002 but problems didn’t arrive (at least not publicly) until Mrs. Rimes wanted to play house or rather secret motel with her movie co-star Eddie Cibrian.
PopEater reports that Sheremet cited “irreconcilable differences” which just means his wife cheated and even if he wanted to forgive her and continue on with their marriage she wasn’t sticking around long enough to care. Leann may want to care now because her ex is seeking spousal support.
Dean wants to get paid for looking like a fool! Let

Robert Rodriguez Talks ‘Machete’, ‘Sin City 2′
14 hours ago
Robert Rodriguez, a filmmaker I have a lot of respect for but am becoming more and more disappointed in as he sinks more of his time into schlocky 3D kids movies, recently gave up a lot of details regarding plans for sequels to Machete, Sin City 2 and Spy Kids 4 while on the set of Nimrod Antal’s Predators in Texas.
Here’s a breakdown of the details, with some commentary:
Machete Sequels:
“We always talked about making him a franchise character. Danny and I talked about it in ‘94…maybe Desperado that’s when I first mentioned the Machete character. So imagine that…he’s been bugging me since ‘94.
We want Machete, Machete Kills, and Machete Kills Again. [Laughter] That’s mine and Robert’s standards, you know? Every time I text him, he’ll text me back, Machete 2, coming up. [Laughs]“
So there’s a solid “maybe.” I could personally

Screenwriter Hints at First ‘Bond 23′ Details
15 hours ago
I might be utterly alone in the world when I say that I really enjoyed Quantum of Solace. I love the brutality of the film, the tension that is never ceased — it is the cinematic equivalent of a bullet shredding through several of James Bond’s nemeses. Sure, the film had its problems with camera work, but most of those are cleared up on the smaller screen.
That said — the franchise needs new blood for the still-untitled Bond 23. Daniel Craig will always be great, and regular writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade do their best to ground the films in Ian Fleming’s character canon, but it’s time Paul Haggis stepped down and someone fresh took the torch.
That person is Peter Morgan, the writer of The Last King of Scotland, The Queen and The Damned United. So yes, a talented guy. While we don’t have a finished product from Morgan yet,

‘Survival of the Dead’ Lands a Release Date
15 hours ago
As much flack as George A. Romero got for his poorly received Diary of the Dead, he’s still one of the most talented and singular voices in the business. His living dead flicks have always been his excuse to talk about current social issues that bother him, and he does so with style, which is why I can’t wait for his next: Survival of the Dead.
Luckily for us, Magnet Releasing has picked up Survival and scheduled it for a Spring release date — and a month earlier on video on demand networks.
From what I’ve heard about Survival of the Dead, Romero has grounded his latest zombie feature in a Western setting, which seems pretty nifty. Variety has a pretty good breakdown of plot description:
“Two powerful families maintain a semblance of order in the wake of the zombie holocaust. But as the inhabitants slowly die off,

‘Avatar’s’ domestic opening slowed by snow storms, earns $73 million at box office
20 December 2009 8:12 PM, PST
Although hampered by furious snow storms in the north-eastern United States, James Cameron’s big-budget action feature Avatar took the No. 1 spot at the North American box office over the weekend.
The highly-touted sci-fi extravaganza, budgeted at around $250 million, scored $73 million domestically during its debut. Avatar undoubtedly suffered from the severe blizzards that landed on northern portion of the eastern American seaboard. Many experts see the film as having “long longs” thanks to heavy buzz and early critical acclaim. Fox should expect Avatar’s domestic gross at around $220-280 million.
Internationally, Avatar nearly earned back its investment with $232 million. This marks the best global launch ever for a non-sequel.
The weekend’s other debut, Did You Hear About the Morgans?, landed at No. 4 with $7 million and should enter first run theaters soon.
Disney’s The Princess and the Frog earned $12.2 million at No. 2, beating the Sandra Bullock sleeper hit, The Blind Side,
