27 January 2013 3:57 PM, PST

Busy Philipps is a working mama-to-be, which means her ballooning belly wasn't going to sideline her from today's SAG Awards. Or from rocking a stylish dress. "It was hard to decide which way to go. Do you hide the bump, do you show it off?" the Cougar Town actress revealed about her Gabriella Candela gown. "I went with show it off! I embraced it!" Busy, who told our very own Giuliana Rancic that she's been craving sandwiches, also discussed announcing her pregnancy on Twitter, joking, "I didn't want people to think I was just getting chubby. I was excited to share the news!" But while Busy is still hard at work, the impending addition to her »

Producers Guild Awards 2013: Why Argo's Win Might Not Have Been an Upset

27 January 2013 2:04 PM, PST

The results of Saturday's Producers Guild Awards, which saw Ben Affleck's Argo emerge with the big prize, look bad for Steven Spielberg's Lincoln.  But maybe they shouldn't. The three big takeaways from the 24th Annual Producers Guild Awards: 1. Maybe Argo, Not Lincoln, Has Always Been the Best Picture Film to Beat: Lincoln has looked like a winner because it's Lincoln--a very good movie about a very important subject by a very important director and featuring a peerless performance by Daniel Day-Lewis. Argo, though perhaps more loved than the respected Lincoln, looked fatally wounded when Affleck didn't earn a Best Director Oscar nomination. But in the wake of the Producers »

27 January 2013 12:04 PM, PST

Well, she's just being Miley. Miley Cyrus stunned on the cover of Cosmopolitan's March issue, sporting a white blazer with nothing underneath.  The 20-year-old former Hannah Montana star dished on her fiancé (or "hubby" as she called him in the mag) along with her upcoming record, telling Cosmo which part of her life is the most satisfying.  "Number one is my relationship with Liam," Cyrus said. "That's what I feel the most confident in because you never know. There's so much hype behind my new record, but it could come out and, worst-case scenario, everyone f-cking hates it." And speaking of the Hunger Games star, Cyrus said she too still gets »

27 January 2013 11:48 AM, PST

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters won the showdown of critically reviled movies at the weekend box office. The R-rated fairytale, called "the longest 90 minutes you [will] ever spend in a theater," led all films with a $19 million Friday-Sunday take, per estimates. The A-listed-packed, R-rated comedy Movie 43, called the "worst film ever," finished back in seventh place, coming up with $5 million to match its 5 percent Rotten Tomatoes score.   The Jason Statham-Jennifer Lopez action flick Parker, called fewer bad things than its two fellow new releases, grossed $7 million for a fifth-place debut. Opening-weekend audiences agreed with critics in that Parker earned the best »

Ben Affleck Doesn't Want His Kids in Showbiz: "I Would Do Whatever I Could to Discourage That!"

27 January 2013 11:14 AM, PST

Ben Affleck may be one of the most celebrated people in Hollywood, but that doesn't mean he wants his and Jennifer Garner's kids to go into show business. "I would do whatever I could to discourage that," the Argo director and star told me last night at the Producers Guild of America Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. "My kids have enough issues of being exposed in ways that I don't want them to be exposed, in magazines and shows and stuff." Daughter Violet is seven years old, Seraphina is four and their third, son Samuel, turns 1 on Feb. 27. When they get older, it may be another story. "You know, if you're interested in drama, there's great theater classes and stuff »

The local council announced its decision to grant the "Proud Mary" singer's citizenship Friday, newspaper Zuerichsee-Zeitung said on its website, but that decision still requires approval from state and federal authorities. "I am very happy in Switzerland and I feel at home here. I could not imagine a better place to live," Turner told German newspaper »

The Maroon 5 frontman brought on the star power as he showed off his comedy chops on the late night laugher this week, kicking off the show with a few celebs vying for a spot as his hosting coach (The Voice style).  "Like all successful singers, I knew I would try to overreach and try acting," Levine said in his opening monologue. 26 January 2013 9:17 PM, PST

J.J. Abrams has a lot of work ahead of him. If for some reason you haven't heard, it was announced earlier today that the mega-director will direct Star Wars 7. "It really is an incredible thing," Abrams just told me on the red carpet at the Producers Guild of America Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Even more so, he said, "It's wildly surreal." We can only imagine. And, of course, we had to ask if the original cast (you know, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill) would be coming back. "It's obviously way too early to talk specifics," he said. "But I'm excited to actually start it." Needless to say, we're »
