Ali Zafar to direct a short film

Considered to be one of Bollywood's very few 'all-rounder', Ali Zafar, after making his mark as an actor as well as a singer, is now all set to make her mark as a director with a short film. He even tweeted his photograph with a caption: "At my set as director." If you though that, with the entry of Ali Zafar as a director, there is bound to be a name confusion with Ali Abbas Zafar, the director of the hit film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, then, read this. After getting to know that Ali Zafar has got into direction, Ali Abbas Zafar tweeted "All the best now there will be even more confusion about you and me as "Directors". Inshallah you will make a kick ass film". To which, Ali Zafar replied by tweeting "haha. Thx buddy. This one is a short film." Watch this space for more developments. »

Jacqueline Fernandez signed opposite Hrithik Roshan

Despite the multiple films Jacqueline has done, the former Sri Lankan beauty queen has always been referred to as a newcomer. Now with the success of her recent release Kick alongside Salman Khan, she is finally getting her dues in Bollywood. In fact now we hear that while on one hand her film Kick has been doing brisk business at the box office, on the other, she has been roped in to feature opposite Hrithik Roshan. Anupam Kher recovering after minor eye surgery

Bollywood's veteran actor Anupam Kher recently underwent a minor surgery of the eye, which involved removal of a cyst in the upper eyelid. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Anupam Kher said, "I am feeling much better and I am recovering". He even thanked all his fans for their wishes on Twitter, by tweeting, "Thank you for your warm wishes for my eye cyst surgery. It is little better. Vivek Oberoi roped in for Riteish Deshmukh starrer Bank Chor

Yash Raj Film's next venture Bank Chor recently made headlines when the lead actor who was signed for the film, comedian Kapil Sharma, opted out of the project. Post his exit, the production house roped in Riteish Deshmukh to essay the title role in the film.

Now we hear that joining Riteish Deshmukh in the film will be none other than his Grand Masti costar Vivek Oberoi. It is learnt that Vivek Oberoi will be seen playing the second lead as a Cbi officer who wreaks havoc in the lives of the robbers. On the other hand Reha Chakraborty will also be seen in the film as the leading lady.

Kajol to star in Ajay Devgns next production

Kajol, who was last seen in the film We Are Family, has been missing from the big screen for a while now. However, the actress, who was last heard saying that she would make a comeback to films once she gets a good script, has apparently found one. In fact Kajol will soon me seen making a comeback in a yet untitled film co-produced by Ajay Devgn and Endemol. The film which is said to be mature love story will be directed by Ram Madhvani, whose last directorial venture was Let's Talk. Interestingly, Ram had initially taken the said script to Aamir Khan's production, however due to the prolonged wait, he later took the same to Ajay Devgn who gave his nod right away. »

Salman Khans double roles in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and No Entry Mein Entry

This Khan has never known moderation. After 1997's Judwaa Salman Khan had never played a double role. That is about to change three times over. In his next three successive releases, Salman Khan features in double roles. First off was the eagerly-awaited Kick in which Salman features in the two avatars of the hero and a caped super-hero. Says the film's director Sajid Nadiadwala, "People never expected Salman in a super-hero avatar since the original Telugu film had no such character." After his triumph in the hero-superhero avatars, Salman Khan goes straight into Sooraj Barjatya's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo where he has a full-fledged double role. And that isn't all. Apoorva Lakhias Haseena project to roll sooner than scheduled

The sudden demise of Haseena Parker, sister of Dawood Ibrahim, has put an extra pressure on filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia to start his project. Lakhia had been in "serious and final stages of negotiation" with Ms Parkar for the rights to film her life-story. Now with her sudden death, Lakhia is being persuaded by the deceased lady's family to start the project sooner rather than later. Says a source close to the project, "There some major legal and creative issues to be solved. But the lady's family was always very keen that Lakhia make the film. They see her as some kind of female hero." Apparently, the project which was supposed to take off in 2015 would now go on the floors by the end of this year. When contacted Apoorva Lakhia said, "The lady recently passed away. It's too early to talk about the film." »
