Vishal Bhardwaj takes over Oye Boy choreography

In her long and illustrious career this must be the first occasion when choreographer Saroj Khan's work has been scrapped. But the need of the hour was a change of choreography. It is with some amount of shock and disbelief that we hear of the legendary Saroj Khan being relieved of her choreographic duties, and that too after she had completed her work for Vishal Bharadwaj's Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola. The song in question is the catchy 'Oye Boy Oye Boy Charlie' featuring Imran Khan, Anushka Sharma, Pankaj Kapur, Aarya Babbar and a host of actors and junior artistes. After Saroj Khan completed choreographing the number Vishal scrapped her choreography and completely re-did the entire song. Bunty Walia to marry Vanessa Parmar today

It's December and almost time for New Year, but looking back, we see 2012 did have a lot of Bollywood celebrities taking the plunge into married life. The latest to join the 'hus-band' wagon is the renowned film producer Bunty Walia (who also heads Gs Entertainment).

In fact adding more cheer to the New Year celebrations will be Walia, who is set to tie the knot to his fiancee Vanessa Parmar today.

Pran saab recuperating in hospital

Veteran actor Pran who has been ailing for some time is back in hospital barely a month after he was discharged in November. And though his daughter Pinky, when contacted, maintains that he is better, friends of the family are not that optimistic about the veteran actor's health any more. "He is getting on. Pran saab is a fighter. But one can't really fight old age beyond a point," a colleague said. However the family maintains Pran Saab is recuperating in hospital. The versatile actor's daughter Pinky who is currently shuttling between two ailing family members -her father and mother-in-law-- in two different hospitals says, "He's (Pran Saab) better. However he cannot have any visitors at the moment." Ranveer injured on sets of Gunday

In 2010 Ranveer Singh made a stunning debut with the film Band Baaja Baaraat, now with two films that have already released and one in the final stages of post production, he is busy shooting two projects Ram Leela and Gunday, back to back. However the stress and hectic schedules seem to have caught up with Ranveer who injured himself while shooting. The incident occurred at the Chandivali Studios where Ranveer was shooting for a song. Apparently, Ranveer was performing his steps on an elevated structure, when he lost his balance and fell down, hurting his back and suffering injuries on his face. Confirming the accident, Ranveer's spokesperson says, "Ranveer who has just completed the first schedule of Gunday, injured himself slightly while shooting the song sequence whereby his cheek has a small gash and required a few stitches. However, Ranveer is perfectly fine and is continuing with the shoot schedules as per plan. »

Salmans birthday shrouded in despondency

While Birthday Boy Salman Khan remained cheerful and ebullient all through the evening before his birthday on Thursday, his family and friends lost the spirit of celebration once the court summons was served to Salman hours before his birthday.

The party spirit dissipated thereafter. While Salman remained cheerful, his family did not feel like celebrating at all.

Says a source close to the Khan family, "In fact no one was finally invited. Whoever turned up did so on their own. It was just close family friends like Sajid Nadiadwala, David Dhawan and Rumi Jaffery who showed up to wish Salman. No invitations were sent out. How could they, when everyone knew Salman had to be on court on his birthday the next morning at 11 am?"

In fact Salman was against a birthday party, to begin with.
