The Vampire Diaries star Joseph Morgan is ready to say goodbye to Mystic Falls and move on to The Originals, but says that the door is always open for more Klaus-and-Caroline stories to be told.
On the Season 4 finale, Klaus finally said the words to Caroline (Candice Accola) that she was waiting to hear: "Tyler is now free to return to Mystic Falls." But this wasn't Klaus' way of stating that he was moving on. Instead he added, "He's your first love. I intend to be your last."

Friday's episode of Starz's historical-fantasy series Da Vinci's Demons will feature a face-off between Leonardo Da Vinci (Tom Riley) and Vlad the Impaler (Paul Rhys), the notorious inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula. It's not that crazy a notion: Da Vinci and Vlad were Renaissance contemporaries and close enough neighbors. And Vlad, despite his lust for horrific torture, was hailed as a savior by the Catholic church because he kept the Ottoman Empire from conquering the Italian states.

Third time's the charm for American Idol's Season 12 champ.
Candice Glover's victory on the reality singing competition show Thursday night comes after two major setbacks. She had previously auditioned in Season 9 and 11 and even made it to the Hollywood rounds, where she was then eliminated. She came back again in Season 12 and this time, made it to the very end.

"I always knew for some reason that it would happen if I kept going," she told reporters backstage after the finale. "At some point I said, 'American Idol obviously doesn't want me, so why would I go back?' But I found myself on the website, looking at auditions again and being determined. I just couldn't stay away."

Given the fanfare with which NBC is closing The Office after nine seasons (at least two too many), you'd think it was a Cheers or Seinfeld-sized hit from the "must-see" glory days, instead of the show that presided over the slow fade of a once-powerful comedy brand on the back of too many same-seeming niche comedies specializing in preciously arch irony. At its best (the Steve Carell and early Jim-Pam years), The Office had heart as well as range, as it found comic magic in its ensemble once the show emerged from the large shadow cast by the classic Ricky Gervais original series. But now it just hits the same beats over and over to lesser effect, which hasn't stopped NBC from pulling out the stops.
