In the 1940s, there were plenty of films made regarding WWII and the duties and responsibilities of both civilians and soldiers during the war. There are plenty of examples of these instructional films, and the quality of these shorts vary greatly depending on who made it. Official U.S. Government War Department movies can get pretty dry, but when the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences makes a movie, it's usually pretty solid. Such is the case with the short "Safeguarding Military Information" from 1941. The movie depicts a variety of different ways that information given to a trusted civilian can find its way to the bad guys, and it's always bad news when it does.

Pretty in Pink: Get the Bomb Girls Look

Last week's episode of Bomb Girls saw the arrival of Dottie (Rosie O'Donnell, herself) who ruffled a few feathers when she loudly expressed her modern views on the rights of women. But it was the beautiful Betty who found herself on the receiving end of this 1940s inequality when she tried to procure a loan for a house. However, despite being unsuccessful in achieving this dream on her first visit, the ever determined McRae simply oozed success style wise — in our adoring eyes at least. She and Miss Witham utilized a palette of pinks expressing butt-kicking femininity and class. And we loved it. So this week's Get The Look is one hundred percent inspired by pink. Please give us those jackets now.

There's a fair amount of discussion on the interwebs about which clichéd line appears more frequently than any other in the movies. While there are a few contenders, one that's cited again and again is "Let's get out of here!" One enthusiastic movie fan created a supercut of people saying the line or variations of it, and it's amazing how often it's used. By the way, it's Friday afternoon. Are you still at the office? Get out of there!

Morgan Freeman Enjoys Some Vodka Redbulls in the First Teaser for Last Vegas

Initially, the premise for Last Vegas — a group of four older guys who throw a wild bachelor party in Vegas — sounded simply like a ripoff of The Hangover for the over-sixty set. After seeing the first teaser, it still looks very Hangover-esque, but with a cast that includes Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro and Kevin Kline, it will likely have a charm that's very much it's own.

Newest Trailer for Pacific Rim Features Monsters, Mayhem, and Mind-Melds

Warner Bros. has just released a new trailer for this summer's Pacific Rim and while it doesn't reveal much more about the plot than the previously released trailer and clip, it does feature plenty of action. Aliens are emerging from the seas, Earth is getting destroyed, and battleships are being used like they're t-ball bats. While we're guessing director/ co-writer Guillermo del Toro is saving some pretty major surprises for opening day, it's still a safe bet that anyone who is a fan of giant robots engaged in battle is going to have a good time at Pacific Rim.

Steven Seagal Lawman Is Coming To Reelz Starting June 6th

Never-Before-Seen Third Season to Premiere in January 2014
Action star Steven Seagal is returning to Reelz, and this time it's with the reality series Steven Seagal Lawman including the never-before-seen third season. The first season will air starting Thursday, June 6th with two back-to-back episodes starting at 8p Et/ 5p Pt. The second season will air this fall, with the premiere of season three coming in January 2014.
The first two seasons of Steven Seagal Lawman focus on Seagal's work with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office in New Orleans, while the third features him teaming up with Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Arizona. Each episode allows viewers to ride shotgun with Seagal as he and his hand-selected elite team of deputies respond to crimes in progress, including heart pounding police chases, dangerous drug busts, confrontations with volatile murder suspects, intense highway accidents and much more.

Congratulations to the Cast of Bomb Girls Who Scored Multiple Leo Award Nominations

The nominees for the Leo Awards have been announced with explosive results for the already award-winning, dramatic series, Bomb Girls. Jodi Balfour, as high society girl Gladys, and Meg Tilly, as factory Matron Lorna, were both nominated for Best Lead Performance by a Female in a Dramatic Series. While Ali Liebert as McSwagger herself Betty McRae, and Antonio Cupo, as the charming Marco Moretti, both got a nod for Supporting Performance. The Leo winners will be announced June 8th at the Gala Awards Ceremony in Vancouver, BC.

Just like some of the characters on the critically acclaimed Bomb Girls, Real-Life Rosies had to bend the facts to get in the factory, as did Wanda Spartage, who was underage when she started working as a riveter. The work was long and difficult, but she did it because workers were so desperately needed and it gave her a way to be a part of the war effort. The highly anticipated Man of Steel is almost upon us and, in preparation, a brand new TV spot has been released. This time the focus is on Superman's enemies from Earth's own military to Kryptonian General Zod. We also hear from Superman's adopted father, Kevin Costner, and get a brief glimpse of Amy Adam's Lois Lane. Fans only have to wait a few more weeks now, with the movie to hit theaters June 14th. We definitely can't wait.

The phrase "highly anticipated" doesn't really cut it when talking about this week's release of Star Trek Into Darkness. As soon as the credits started to roll on 2009's Star Trek, Trekkers and non-Trekkers alike were ravenous for a follow up, and now it is only days away. We figured it was the perfect time to find some amazing fan-made Star Trek awesomeness, and there is absolutely plenty of it all over the interwebs. One of our favorite finds is this a cappella version of the Star Trek: The Next Generation theme song made by Chris Thompson. While we understand that the upcoming movie doesn't have much to do with Tng, this video is still Star Trek-related and awesome, so we figure that it counts.

Quick Click: A Frame for Frame Lego Remake of the Opening Scene From Casino Royale

An amazingly dedicated and patient group from Bricktease have created a remarkably awesome remake of the first scenes of Casino Royale with near perfect detail — out of Legos. Even the water is made out of tiny Lego pieces. It is a simply brilliant recreation and definitely worth the three minutes or so to watch. In fact the only thing we're not sure about is the slightly creepy smile from Lego Daniel Craig.
You can also watch a video clip of the Lego remake below with the original next to it so you can see just how incredible a feat this really is. We want a sequel.
