Author Ray Bradbury made a deal with White Oak Films to develop a miniseries inspired by six of his short stories. The Bradbury Chronicles will be presented over six hours though no network has picked up the miniseries as of yet. Bradbury will executive produce and assist in choosing the material and adapting the stories for the project. White Oak's John Dayton will also executive produce while Merrill Capps, Todd Klick, Cory Travalena and Dale Olson all from White Oak, will produce.

While hosting his show last night, CNN anchor Lou Dobbs announced live on the air to viewers just after 7p Et he is resigning his position at CNN effective immediately. Dobbs' contract was not set to expire until the end of 2011, though he confirmed Wednesday night CNN was willing to let him out of his contract early. Increasingly, Dobbs and his anti-immigration views have made him a controversial figure on CNN and within the political landscape. Dobbs has been a fixture on CNN since its beginning with the exception of a two-year stint at a website called Space.com. Dobbs' career via his CNN show and his radio show, has transformed his persona from a business news anchor to an outspoken commentator whose opinions have drawn much fire and ire. ABC handed frosh drama series The Forgotten a five-episode pickup and also cancelled frosh series Eastwick. Both series are produced by Warner Bros. Television. ABC additionally is foregoing its five-episode series Let’s Dance slated to debut November 23 following the recent news Kathy Griffin was set to host. The network was apparently having a hard time casting celebrities to participate in the dance competition show during the holidays. ABC will instead fill the time slot with the new reality series Find My Family from RelativelyReal and Rdf USA.

Showtime announced a slew of upcoming premiere dates in first and second quarters of 2010 as well as the opening air date of a popular film. • Kicking off the New Year, Showtime will air the television premiere of popular film Twilight on January 23 (time Tbd). • Then following on January 25, the premium network will debut the third seasons of Secret Diary of a Call Girl at 10p and Tracey Ullman's State of the Union at 1030, followed by the premiere at 11p of La La Land , starring British comic Marc Wootton. • Showtime is sizing up Mondays for a comedy block consisting of the second season of Nurse Jackie beginning March 22 at 10p followed by season two of United States of Tara at 1030p. • The fourth and final season of The Tudors will premiere April 11 at 9p.
