Trevor Henderson's "Horror Hangers" series 2 is now available to order in his Etsy shop! If you recall, we brought your attention to this Canadian artist's work when he released series 1, a loving tribute to old school Halloween decorations mixed with contemporary horror films. His latest line-up is inspired by A Nightmare on Elm Street, the Friday the 13th series, Alien, The Return of the Living Dead and Tombs of the Blind Dead. Killer stuff! 16 hours ago

ABCs of Death 2 arrives on VOD tomorrow! The film is the follow-up to the most ambitious anthology film ever conceived with productions spanning from Nigeria to UK to Brazil and everywhere in between. And, it's a vast improvement over the first entry!

In anticipation of the debut, we've received a still from "C is for Capital Punishment," a segment directed by Julian Gilby. He previously helmed A Lonely Place to Die and his entry in ABCs of Death 2 is a nasty piece of work.

10 Halloween Offenders Sam Should Punish in Trick ‘r Treat 2!

With Trick 'r Treat, Michael Dougherty set out to give rise to a bonafide Halloween mascot, and he did just that with the pumpkin-headed, childlike demon named Sam.

Santa Claus and Krampus rolled into one adorable little package, Sam is essentially the protector of Halloween, punishing all who disrespect and just generally sour the fun of the historic holiday. And isn't that what we love about him?

Officially announced around this time last year was an impending sequel to my personal favorite Halloween horror film, and though we haven't heard a peep about the project in some time, it's hard not to be excited about the continuing adventures of the pint-sized creature in the orange onesie.

To celebrate not just all things horror as we lurch into Halloween, but to say happy birthday to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, HalloweenCostumes.com created a fun infographic that breaks down the many incarnations of Leatherface. The graphic provides an illustration of the killer, a small synopsis of the film he appeared in and the on-screen body count. Check it out!

Sarah Connor is Going to Battle Jason Voorhees in Slash/Up

30 September 2014 5:04 PM, PDT

So, the following video was sent my way. It's a preview for a new web series called Slash/Up and it apparently pits Sarah Connor of the Terminator films against Jason Voorhees. What sense does that make?

Slash/Up's goal, according to a synopsis I was sent, is to "pit a different set of retro movie/geek culture icons against each in a totally unique, story driven mashup, wrapped around by debate and commentary."

Plans for Zombieland 2 appear to be back on track today with Deadline reporting that Sony Pictures has brought aboard The Expendables scribe Dave Callaham to provide the screenplay. He'll work closely with Ruben Fleischer, who will be returning as director.

Set in a zombie post-apocalypse and filtered through a darkly comic lens, the original Zombieland hit theaters in 2009 and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin as survivors attempting to outlast the living dead.

New American Horror Story: Freak Show Trailer Offers Actual Plot

30 September 2014 2:25 PM, PDT

Well, look at that! An American Horror Story: Freak Show trailer has come along that actually offers some scenes from the show - with, you know, plot and character! - as opposed to the trippy, hyper-stylized promos we've been inundated with. This promo is called "Monsters Among Us."

American Horror Story: Freak Show begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. Shock Interviews: Talking With the Director & Cast of Annabelle!

30 September 2014 10:08 AM, PDT

A little over a year after the release, and success, of The Conjuring, Warner Bros. and New Line bring horror fans Annabelle, a film that acts as a spin-off and a prequel to the aforementioned James Wan-directed movie.

John Leonetti is in the director's seat. He served as the director of photography on many of Wan's films; he even shot Child's Play 3. Recently, I sat down with Leonett and Annabelle cast members Ward Horton, Annabelle Wallis and Alfre Woodard. Leonetti opens up about how he wanted to approach the film and how he maintained discussions with Wan in order to keep the film feeling like it was within the world of The Conjuring. The actors, meanwhile, talk about their time working in the horror film. Woodard, meanwhile, gets pretty candid when she discusses her encounter and handling of the Annabelle doll.

Event Report: Knott’s Scary Farm is the Key to Halloween

30 September 2014 6:51 AM, PDT

As the Halloween season officially begins, our favorite theme parks take on new and sinister personalities. Perhaps the most famous and consistently awesome, is Knott’s Scary Farm Halloween haunt. For 40 plus years, the park has continued to thrive by raising the bar and creating the best in original haunt attractions. This year is no exception and Knott’s has introduced something new and even more interactive to the experience. They call it Special Ops Infected.

This Trailer for the Killer Doll Film Heidi Kind of Works…

30 September 2014 6:34 AM, PDT

Filmmaker Daniel Ray alerted us to a trailer for his indie horror film Heidi. The movie combines two sub-genres of horror - killer dolls and found footage. Yes, I rolled my eyes at the idea of this, too. But then I saw the trailer and...I thought it sort of worked for a Dyi horror flick working on a legitimate micro-budget. Heidi is getting its premiere in Vegas this month.

If you're in the area, you can get details on the screening here.

Written and directed by Ray, the film's synopsis goes like this...
