Cirque Du Soleil Performer Killed in Fall During Show

Cirque Du Soleil performer Sarah (Sassoon) Guyard died after falling 50 feet during a performance in Las Vegas Saturday night. The incident occurred at MGM Grand's Ka, the same evening the company celebrated the opening on its 8th Vegas show, Michael Jackson One. In a statement released by a spokesperson, the performance organization, saying, "The entire Cirque du Soleil family is deeply saddened by the accidental death," also said, "The artist’s immediate family has been informed of the accident.
