Chris Pratt Improvised a Parks and Rec Scene by Going Naked - and Scaring Amy Poehler

Years before Chris Pratt impressed the masses with his superhero physique, he shocked Amy Poehler by baring it all. In a Late Night interview with Seth Meyers on Wednesday, the Guardians of the Galaxy actor admitted an infamous scene in the second season of Parks and Recreation was all too real for his costar. His character, Andy, was supposed to show up to the house of ex-girlfriend Anne (Rashida Jones) completely naked, catching Leslie (Poehler) off-guard when she opened the door. But instead of wearing the industry-standard nude boxers, Pratt, 35, secretly stripped down. "So I show up in these skin-colored briefs, »

Vin Diesel Sings Sam Smith's 'Stay with Me'

He's danced to Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" and crooned Rihanna's "Stay," now Vin Diesel has taken on another chart-topper - Sam Smith's "Stay with Me" - and it's kind of awesome. The Fast and Furious star was asked by the U.K.'s Capital FM to put his unique vocal stylings on the British singer's hit, and he gave it his all, alternating between deep gravelly tones and hitting the high notes (who knew he could do that?). And we aren't the only ones who are somewhat stunned - Smith, 22, heard Diesel's version and Tweeted on Wednesday: "Vin »

How Much Should a TV Nerd Earn? The Big Bang Theory Stars Negotiate Salaries

How much money do Sheldon, Leonard and Penny deserve to make? That's the issue on the set of The Big Bang Theory, TV's most-watched comedy that is set to return for an eighth season Sept. 22 on CBS. But contract renegotiations for its five stars - Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar - have stalled production of new episodes, People has confirmed. The comedy's first rehearsal was postponed Wednesday because of the ongoing salary talks with Warner Bros. TV, which produces the No. 1 comedy for CBS. Given the millions that the show generates in reruns, Parsons, »

Massachusetts Couple Petitions to Change Their Middle Names to 'Seamonster'

There's a lot of unusual names out there - consider "Apple", "Blue Ivy" and "Moon Unit" (Frank Zappa's daughter), all of which are pretty tame choices compared to that of a Massachusetts couple, who petitioned to change their middle names to "Seamonster." The reasoning behind the "monstrous" name is anyone's guess, since the couple are remaining private about their decision - they declined an interview on the name change after it started getting some attention. "Thank you, but despite our crazy/flashy new middle names, my husband and I are pretty private," the wife, Melanie Convery (or Melanie Seamonster »

Army Major Creates Boy Scouts Troops for Children in Afghanistan

Arriving in Afghanistan in 2010, U.S. Army Maj. Glenn Battschinger, homesick for his two Eagle Scout sons, knew right away how to make a difference. "There were hundreds of children who swarmed myself and the other soldiers coming and going from the base," he tells People. "The kids wanted attention and needed something to do." Battschinger pictured them in uniforms, tying knots and carving wood, just like his sons, Gregory, 17, and Cedric, 15, did back home in Mays Landing, New Jersey. One week later, after receiving the go-ahead from leaders of three villages surrounding the Finley-Shields Army Operating Base, Battschinger gathered »

Katy Perry: 'I Don't Need a Dude' to Have Kids

Katy Perry isn't afraid to be a single mom. "I don't need a dude," the music star tells Rolling Stone for its latest cover story. "We are living in the future; we don't need anything. I don't think I'll have to, but we'll see." That doesn't mean the 29-year-old, who is rumored to be dating DJ Diplo, wouldn't like a man if she found the right one. "I'm not anti-men," she says. "I love men. But there is an option if someone doesn't present himself." Still, children are not in the immediate future for the Prism singer, who plans to »

Meet Rep. Kevin McCarthy, the House's New No. 2

When Kevin Spacey was preparing to play ruthless House majority whip Frank Underwood on House of Cards, he turned to then-actual House majority whip Kevin McCarthy. The Bakersfield, California, Republican vaulted into that leadership job after a record-fast four years in Congress, and now the 49-year-old moves up to the No. 2 spot in the House - majority leader - on Friday. But how much does he resemble Spacey's fictional vote-wrangling whip, Frank Underwood? (Aside from the murder, we mean.) For one thing, you can sometimes hear McCarthy's words coming out of Underwood's mouth. Before shooting started, Spacey shadowed McCarthy on »

The photographers are all over LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian these days - but this time, they've invited them. The tabloid targets have welcomed VH1's cameras into their Los Angeles house to shoot LeAnn & Eddie, giving the duo a chance to dispel misconceptions about their romance. The country singer and the actor (who most recently starred on TV Land's Hot in Cleveland) married in 2011. "People are always wanting to make it a story of me being a homewrecker and trying to take someone's kids," Rimes, 31, tells People. Man Finds Rare Calico Lobster, Gives It to New Hampshire Aquarium (Photos)

A fisherman has caught a rare lobster that's bright orange with dark blue spots. Josiah Beringer found the calico lobster in a trap on July 23 in the mouth of New Hampshire's Hampton Harbor. He donated the 1.5-pound, 5-year-old male lobster to the Explore the Ocean World Oceanarium in Hampton. Beringer tells the Portsmouth Herald the lobster was found in an area known as Washerwoman Rock, an area between two rocks that gets its name from its "really rough" and "washing machine"-like waters. The aquarium's Ellen Goethel says calico lobsters are the second rarest in the world, after albino lobsters. »

Toronto Cop Loves Dancing to Reggae Band (Video)

Francis Bayotas was attending the Beaches Jazz Festival in Toronto, Canada, when he spotted this local police officer visibly getting into the groove (with a tambourine!) to the sounds of a local reggae band. Now, while tensions between the reggae and law enforcement communities have been fraught ever since Bob Marley sang about the homicide of a member of the Jamaican police force, things were smoothed over when "Bad Boys" by Inner Circle became the theme song to Cops in 1993. Bayotas's original video, posted on Facebook, has over 67,000 shares, proving that people really love watching cops dance. Well, cops and Rob Ford. »

Robert Pattinson Reveals the Hardest Part of His Breakup with Kristen Stewart

It wasn't the cheating. As painful as that was, it happens all the time in relationships between young people. No, Robert Pattinson says the hardest part of his breakup with Kristen Stewart was the aftermath, when he was asked to talk about his Twilight costar's cheating scandal in public. "S--- happens, you know?" Pattinson tells British Esquire in its September issue about Stewart's fling with director Rupert Sanders. "It's just young people … it's normal! And honestly, who gives a s---?" Well, lots of people did. And that, says Pattinson, was indeed difficult. "The hardest part was talking about it afterwards. »
