'Last Comic Standing' Recap: Leno's Words of Wisdom
10 hours ago
If you thought that Gilbert Gottfried was a great guest, you'll be falling out of your seats tonight. The one and only Jay Leno is on deck to mentor our remaining comedians, and the competition is starting to get pretty tight.
Jb Smoove starts the show by trying to bust into the judges' lounge. Russell Peters has a cup of coffee in hand, as he tries to tell Jb he's not allowed in. "Judges only," Russell recites. Jb then calls him racist, and says he's going in the room for some coffee anyway. Judge Milian from The People's Court comes out for some unexplained reason, and challenges entry once again. Roseanne also spouts out a few lines, and Jb mentions that he just wants some hot cocoa. My gosh, this is a painful and unnecessary bit.
It turns out that Jay's mentoring was all pre-taped, as we're shown clips of »

'Big Brother 16' Spoilers: Team America's 4th Mission
30 July 2014 7:49 PM, PDT
Team America succeeded with its first two missions fairly easily on Big Brother 16. Frankie, Derrick and Donny each earned $10,000 thanks to getting people to believe Zach is Amanda Zuckerman's cousin and nominating Amber, but they failed to get a 20-second fight in the past week (though they think they won it). Now they have their fourth task, with less than a day to complete it.

'Graceland' Recap: How Not to Treat Your Mother
30 July 2014 2:19 PM, PDT
Previously on Graceland, Mike discovered that yet another lawman is working undercover for the bad guys. This time, though, it isn't Briggs. The culprit is Sid Markham, head of the Lapd gang task force. There is no question of innocence this time around; "Los Malos" opens with a montage detailing how Markham has gotten away with ruining everything for the team over the last few days, from tipping off Carlito to killing Lawrence. In the present time, Mike waltzes up to Markham in a restaurant and calls him out for being a no good, very bad guy. Was this move smart or premature? Only time will tell.

'America's Got Talent' Recap: 5 Semifinalists Revealed
30 July 2014 12:33 PM, PDT
Welcome, ladies and gents, to the first live results show of Season 9 on America's Got Talent. We've whittled the field down to our top 48 (which is just short of the number of members in The Willis Clan), and now it's time to whittle it down some more.
Twelve acts came to play in the first performances of the quarterfinals on Tuesday, and many thanks to Catherine for admirably filling in these last two recaps. Several of those who hit the stage excelled -- I'm looking at you, Emily West. You killed it, just like during Judgment Week -- but others fell quite flat and short of expectations. »

'True Blood': Is This It for Bill Compton?
30 July 2014 4:38 AM, PDT
In episode 6 of True Blood season 7, we learned a few things: A) Bill is definitely infected, B) His infection is accelerating at a crazy pace, and C) Sookie infected him. Although Bill is definitely on death's door, that doesn't mean he's going to die. Like any romance novel, one of the lover's Have to go through some kind of transformation or near-death experience for the other person to forgive them for whatever they've done. In this case, Bill almost killed Sookie, he betrayed her, he turned into a wack job prophet/vamp god, and basically was the worst boyfriend in the world. Why would Sookie ever get back together with him unless...he almost died? »

10 Reasons to Watch 'Sharknado 2: The Second One'
29 July 2014 10:30 PM, PDT
Sharknado 2: The Second One is a cinematic masterpiece.
No seriously! It knows exactly what its audience loved about the first one and decided to quadruple down on that. It doesn't take itself seriously, but it takes its job of entertaining fans very seriously. Find me a film this year that was more about entertaining fans the way they want to be entertained. And for achieving that, I say it's a cinematic masterpiece worthy of your time.
'America's Got Talent' Predictions: Which 5 Acts Will Advance to the Semifinals?
29 July 2014 10:00 PM, PDT
America's Got Talent's live performances at Radio City Music Hall debuted Tuesday night with the first 12 acts of the quarterfinals. It was a decent night of performances, making it a battle to choose which seven acts we think will get their pink slips tonight.
Let's look back for a moment to the auditions featured in my 'One Act to Watch' articles and review for a moment. My first pick from the auditions was Miguel Dakota. My first pick from the second week of auditions was Smoothini, The Ghetto Houdini. Third week: soldier singer Paul Ieti. Forth week: 13-year-old singer Mara Justine. I was gone the week of July 1, but I would have featured Jonah Smith as my 'One Act to Watch,' though saying so now after the band has already made it past judgement week sounds a bit like cheating. Well, hell, I'm sticking with it anyway.
'Pretty Little Liars' Recap: Ali Stages an Attack
29 July 2014 3:01 PM, PDT
In last week's episode, Alison lied her way through Mama Fields' awkward dinner party, while Hanna relied on booze to help her survive the evening. In other news, Aria used her first day of volunteering at Radley to steal Bethany's sketchbook, and Spencer borrowed Ezra's stalker-gear to spy on Melissa.
In this week's episode, "Scream for Me," Alison moves in with Hanna, Ella's wedding plans hit a major snag, and Spencer and Emily wind up in a dangerous situation. Read on to find out if the eighth episode of Pretty Little Liars season 5 delivers the mayhem and mystery we have come to expect. »

29 July 2014 5:58 AM, PDT
The world of Frozen is growing larger on Once Upon a Time. After casting for Anna, Kristoff and Elsa, the role of Prince Hans has now been filled. And there's one bit of casting news that involes a non-human character.
Tyler Jacob Moore will play Hans when the fairy tale drama returns in the fall, starting with episode 3. This will be a recurring role for the actor. The character is described as "a well-bred prince with a serious chip on his shoulder."

28 July 2014 3:30 PM, PDT
With the finale of The Bachelorette season 10 in the books, it's time for a real-time update on how the winners and loser are doing following this televised quest for everlasting love. As we all know, Andi chose hunky former baseball player Josh Murray to be her lawfully wedded future husband, leaving deep-thinking and over-analyzing Nick V. trolling in the gutter.
He apparently tried to contact her on two separate occasions, while she was vacationing in Mexico and before the Men Tell All episode, but she re-rejected him both times. Now there is nothing she can do to avoid facing the man whose heart she shattered. Let's get to the action. »

'Under the Dome' Recap: What's in the Locker is Finally Revealed
28 July 2014 2:11 PM, PDT
The more and more I want to like Sam, the more and more I believe he could possibly be behind the dome. In this week's Under the Dome, Sam manipulates Junior/James to get info about the dome and the mini-dome. Meanwhile, Julia and Barbie try to keep the peace in town and run into obstacles in the form of Big Jim (of course). And Norrie and Joe continue to help Melanie figure out answers about herself. »
'The Bachelorette' Season 10 Finale Recap: Who Does Andi Choose?
28 July 2014 12:00 PM, PDT
It all comes down to this on The Bachelorette season 10 finale. It's Josh, the sturdy and emotionally unavailable former professional athlete who quit baseball to support his younger brother and do nothing in particular for work, versus arrogant, romantic, sometimes off-putting and possibly manipulative brillo head Nick V. -- with Andi's heart (and a potential couple spot on Dancing with the Stars) on the line.
So who will it be? Will Andi choose brawn over brains? Or outward feeling over awkward "I like yous"? In the end, I'm not so sure either couple is destined for marriage. It just doesn't have the same feel as Jp and Ashley or Sean and Catherine, or any of the other two and a half couples (Jason and Molly still only count as 0.5) who have worked out in 28 seasons of givin' it the ol' college try for love. »
