He says, "It sort of embarrasses me to think of being a heart- throb. I shy away from that sort of attention. I don't go around trying to be a sex symbol - I certainly don't understand it from older people." »

Hurley insists the child is Bing's, but he claims they were not in an "exclusive relationship" during the time she conceived. A source on Bing's legal team tells Britain's Sunday Sport paper, "This is going to get worse before it gets better. Liz is going to have to name names and she will have to reveal, under oath, what she gets up to in the bedroom. Crowe Apologizes To Ryan - A Year Later

31 December 2001

Hunky Hollywood star Russell Crowe has finally apologized to actress Meg Ryan for choosing his friends over her - despite being madly in love. The pair had a torrid, highly publicized affair after meeting on the set of Proof Of Life last year. But their relationship, made more complicated by Ryan's collapsing marriage to actor Dennis Quaid, fell apart last Christmas when Crowe chose to spend a boozy Yuletide in Australia with his friends, while Ryan pined in America with son Jack. Now Crowe sheepishly admits, "I owe her an apology for not being as flexible as I might have been. I don't think I'll make that mistake again." And Crowe confesses he was deeply in love with the petite blonde. He says, "It was an incredibly intense period of my life, and obviously of hers. How can you deny yourself something that was absolute and passionate and gigantic? We fell in love. It happens, thank God. She's a magnificent person." »

Liv Tyler Piles On The Pounds

31 December 2001

Liv Tyler was particularly grateful when the 15-month long Lord Of The Rings shoot wrapped - because she could get her curves back. The 5'10" actress had to keep her weight down to a medically unsafe 126 pounds while playing Arwen in the trio of fantasy films, but started piling on the pounds as soon as the New Zealand shoot finished - pumping up her weight by 28 pounds. She says, "Now I'm fat but happy. I was sick and tired of starving myself to look thin. It was no fun. I feel more comfortable at this weight - and I'm enjoying my food. I don't care what people think. There shouldn't be a standard for how we all should look." »

Nicky Stonehill says, "J.K. Rowling and Neil Murray were married on December 26 at their house in Perthshire. Their immediate family attended the wedding." Rowling fiercely guards her privacy following the massive worldwide success of her series of children's books about the boy wizard, and the newly-released Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone film. And the 35-year-old managed to keep her nuptials quiet by swearing guests to secrecy, hiring in catering staff from 50 miles away and using a non-local vicar to conduct proceedings. Rowling's eight-year-old daughter Jessica from her previous marriage acted as one of three bridesmaids. »
