Oscar-winning actress Jessica Lange has joined the cast of American Horror Story, Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy’s upcoming pilot for the FX Network. With Lange on board, this horror show looks very female-centric and pretty good to go to series. Now if we just knew what it was about.

Murphy, co-creator of Glee and sole creator of Nip/Tuck, has been oh so quiet about the premise of American Horror Story, but FX president John Landgraf calls it a "really complicated, interesting psychological horror show."

We might not know the plot, but we do know a bit about the characters and cast. Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights) will play the gorgeous and vivacious, yet vulnerable Vivien Harmon.
