He’s been pinging the rumour radar for a while now, but Joseph Gordon-Levitt is finally officially on board Chris Nolan’s third (and likely final) Bat-outing, The Dark Knight Rises. And not only has his involvement been confirmed, but it appears that his character has also leaked, with Variety reporting him as Alberto Falcone.If the surname sounds familiar, that’s because he’s the son of Mafia boss Carmine, as played by Tom Wilkinson back in Batman Begins. If it pans out, it would offer a nice sense of synchronicity and closure for Nolan’s adventures in Gotham City. The character cropped up in The Long Halloween and Batman: Dark Victory and is psychopathic serial murderer The Holiday Killer, who picks off criminals linked to his father.Naturally, Nolan may just pick and choose what elements he uses from Alberto’s story, but he’s a solid fit »
