She can dance, she can cheer — but does she have what it takes to battle the undead?

After holding her own with the cast of Glee, Heather Morris may have a new challenge: proving herself to a nation of fanboys as the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer!

The 23-year-old dancer-actress told Access Hollywood on Dec. 16 that she was being considered for the big-screen remake, saying, “I found out and I almost peed my pants ‘cause I was so excited!” (Gross.)

The Buffy franchise has long been a fan favorite. In 1992, the film Buffy The Vampire Slayer introduced Kristy Swanson in the titular role. Writer Joss Whedon brought the film to the small screen in 1997, casting Sarah Michelle Gellar as the lead. The show quickly became a cultural and critical phenomenon, launching the careers of alumnus such as Sarah, David Boreanaz, and Seth Green.
