Sons of Anarchy’s” Kurt Sutter has signed a new, three -year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television and a first-look development deal with FX, Variety has learned.

The contract is an exclusivity agreement between the “Anarchy” scribe and exec producer-creator and 20th Century Fox Television and Fox 21. Sutter will finish the final season of the biker drama — set to premiere September 9 on FX — and then move immediately into production on his new FX series, “The Bastard Executioner.”

“Kurt is that rare producer who is a triple threat — he writes, he showruns and he directs,” said Fox Television Group Chairman and CEO Dana Walden. “There is nothing he can’t do. He has a singular voice and he cares so deeply about the work, every detail of every moment in Sons is meticulously thought-out and perfectly executed. Kurt is quite simply one of a kind, and we love having him at this studio. »
