The Flash” cast has received another super boost, with Robbie Amell set to remain in the CW family after landing the recurring role of Ronnie Raymond (aka Firestorm) in the “Arrow” spinoff.

The “Tomorrow People” star — and cousin of “Arrow” lead Stephen Amell — will make his debut in the third episode of “The Flash’s” freshman season.

Ronnie Raymond, a maintenance worker at S.T.A.R. Labs and Dr. Caitlin Snow’s (Danielle Panabaker) fiancé, plays an integral part in the particle accelerator accident that transforms Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) into The Flash.

“Flash” executive producer Greg Berlanti said of Amell’s casting: “Geoff Johns, Andrew Kreisberg and myself designed the pilot and series to include Ronnie (aka Firestorm) — and to actually have someone with Robbie’s talent playing the role is beyond exciting. We can’t wait for viewers and fans of the character to check it out. »
