Tammy, the feature directorial debut of Ben Falcone, follows Tammy Banks (Melissa McCarthy), a woman on the edge who has lost her job, her husband and her car, all in one day. She wants out of her small town existence, but with no money or transportation, the only way to do that is with her hard-partying grandmother, Pearl (Susan Sarandon), who leads them into a string of misadventures that neither of them will soon forget.
